Rocky was great & very knowledgeable. He was very willing to share & asked if we had any questions to let him know. Overall it was a great day, my only complaint was that we had some issues understanding him with the accent. He did tell us he was willing to repeat, but I find it hard to always be asking that. Really enjoyed the tour!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you, John, for your thoughtful feedback! We’re really glad to hear you had a great day on your Blue Mountains small-group tour from Sydney and that Rocky’s knowledge and enthusiasm added to your experience.
We appreciate your comments regarding communication as well. Rocky is originally from Sri Lanka and, like many of our guides, brings a diverse background and unique perspective to the tour. While he always aims to speak clearly and is more than happy to repeat or clarify anything, we understand that accents can sometimes take a little getting used to. We’ll continue working on ensuring all commentary is as clear and comfortable as possible for our guests.
Thanks again for joining us—we’re pleased you enjoyed the tour overall and hope to see you again soon!

It was a fun day to the Blue Mountains! Pickup was on time. Van was very comfortable. Driver provided interesting commentary along the way. The overlooks were amazing! Scenic World provided some breathtaking views. The tram and gondolas were fun. Featherdale Animal Park let us feed the wallabies and gray kangaroos. Getting dropped off at the Olympic Village ferry terminal was a bonus! The ferry ride back to Circular Quay gives another perspective of this amazing city! Recommend this experience!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re so glad you had a fun and seamless day on your Blue Mountains small group day tour from Sydney.
It’s great to hear everything ran smoothly—from the on-time pickup and comfortable van to the interesting commentary along the way. We’re delighted you enjoyed the stunning lookouts and the breathtaking views at Scenic World, along with the fun rides.
Feeding the wallabies and kangaroos at Featherdale is always a highlight, and we’re happy it stood out for you too! Ending the day with the ferry ride back to Circular Quay really does offer a unique perspective of Sydney.
We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another adventure soon!

Was a lovely day with the family at the mountain, scenic world, leura town and featherdale wildlife park. Rocky, our tour guide was informative and accommodative. Overall a good tour if you have just a day. Would love to spend 2 nights atleast at blue mountains to explore leisurely.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your lovely review! We're so glad you and your family enjoyed your day exploring the Blue Mountains, Scenic World, Leura, and Featherdale Wildlife Park. It’s great to hear Rocky made the experience even more enjoyable with his informative and accommodating approach.
We completely agree—while a day tour covers the highlights, spending a couple of nights in the Blue Mountains is a wonderful way to explore at a more relaxed pace. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again for another adventure in the future!
Carrie_E, Apr 2026
This was a great tour! We only had 7 people on our tour with our tour guide. The trip out to the Blue Mountains, waterfalls, zoo and the ferry ride home, was fantastic.
Our guide was good, and kept us on track with time as there was a lot of driving to get to each stop, and to be able to spend the allotted amount of time at each stop.
The trams at the Blue Mountains were very cool and the scenery quite spectacular. We stopped at Karoomba Falls and at a quaint little town (can't remember the name) for lunch.
Then to the zoo which was fabulous! The little wallabies were so much fun to feed. My favorite part! You can't hold Koala's anymore but you can get your picture taken with one and they allow you to put your hand on his back side.
Taking the ferry back to Circular Quay Harbor was a great way to end the day. We met some wonderful people on our tour and saw some great places during the tour.
I would highly recommend this tour. A great value for the money!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you so much for your detailed and wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a great day exploring the Blue Mountains with a small group—it really does make for a more personal and enjoyable experience.
It’s fantastic to know you enjoyed the scenic highlights, including the rides at Scenic World, the beautiful waterfall stops, and your visit to Leura for lunch. We’re especially glad Featherdale Wildlife Park was a highlight—feeding the wallabies is always a guest favourite!
We also appreciate your kind words about your guide for keeping the day well-organised and running smoothly, especially with a full itinerary. And we couldn’t agree more—the ferry ride back to Circular Quay is the perfect way to finish the day.
Thank you again for recommending us. We’re so happy you met great people along the way and created such memorable experiences. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
Patricia_W, Apr 2026
Overall a lovely tour with the animals as the highlight and beautiful views. Only issue is the design of the vans seating which don’t allow all families/partners/friends to sit together. Everyone is dispersed throughout the van or between others. Otherwise loved the animals and views and Rocky was lovely.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you, Patricia, for your thoughtful feedback. We’re so pleased to hear you enjoyed the beautiful views and wildlife experiences, and that Rocky helped make your day a lovely one.
We appreciate your comments regarding the seating. Our vehicles are designed in accordance with Australian Design Rules (ADR) safety standards, which means the seating is configured in a combination of 4, 2, and single seats. As this is a shared small-group tour, seating is not pre-allocated, and groups may be seated across different sections of the vehicle.
That said, we always do our best to accommodate guests where possible on the day, and we’ll certainly take your feedback on board as we continue to improve the experience for future travellers.
Thank you again for travelling with us.

This was a wonderful experience. Rocky was very knowledgeable and friendly. The views were breathtaking. I think the thing i liked best about this tour was Rocky's ability to keep our group ahead of the crowds of the other tours making our trip free from the boards of people. I highly recommend this tour and Rocky for your trip to the Blue Mountains.

This trip is super well tailored. We were a very small group, with just 5 of us and we got along so well. Rocky was fantastic, patient and was very knowledgeable. As a tour guide he was so aware of his group and did his absolute best to keep us comfortable. We are so glad we did this trip, it’s truly well worth it and must if you are in Sydney!

Terrific experience exploring the Blue Mountains with our wonderful tour guide/driver Rocky. He was massively insightful and talkative to keep the long drive entertaining. The transport vehicle was extremely clean and the wifi was a nice added touch. Very happy we booked this tour. He squeezed a lot in. Only wish was that it was a smidge longer as while we got through Featherdale Zoo and Scenic World's highlights, it would have been nice to linger a bit more. This is definitely a tour if you want to check off a bunch at once rather than have a pause at each stop.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hi Ryan,
Thank you for the wonderful review and for choosing our Blue Mountains tour. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed exploring the region and that Rocky helped make the journey both insightful and entertaining. It’s also great to know the clean vehicle and onboard WiFi added to your comfort during the trip.
We also appreciate your feedback about wanting a little more time at each stop. Our itinerary is designed to cover the key highlights of the Blue Mountains, including Scenic World and Featherdale Wildlife Park, within a single day while keeping the tour smooth and enjoyable.
Thank you again for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back on another tour in the future.
Cheryl_G, Apr 2026
Don’t travel on a public holiday! Though no fault of the tour company we didn’t see the Threw Sisters or much of the Blue Mountains because of rain and fog. The guide tries his best to get through holiday traffic and give us a second chance to see the scenery.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your feedback and for joining our small group day tour to the Blue Mountains National Park. We’re sorry the weather and public holiday traffic limited the views of the Three Sisters during your visit.
As you mentioned, our guide did his best to adjust the itinerary and give the group another opportunity to see the scenery despite the challenging conditions. The Blue Mountains is a rainforest region where fog and rain can sometimes affect visibility, but we always try our best to make the experience enjoyable.
We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll have the chance to visit again on a clearer day to fully enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
Kevin_W, Apr 2026
Very weather dependent. It was very cloudy and foggy. Cable car ride was worthless. Tour guide brought us back later in the day for a quick run back up, scenery was magnificent, but really was a waste of time in the morning. Featherdale zoo was nice, koala encounter was great. Lunch n our own in town was tasty (kangaroo burger).
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Kevin,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We were a little disappointed to receive a 3-star review, especially as our driver/guide made adjustments to the itinerary during the day to ensure the group could still enjoy clear views of the mountains, which you also mentioned in your review. Our guides always do their best to adapt the tour depending on weather conditions so guests can still have a memorable experience.
The Blue Mountains is a rainforest environment, which means rain and fog can occur throughout the year. In fact, the rainfall is what keeps the region lush and allows the beautiful waterfalls and forests to thrive. While fog can sometimes affect distant views, our guide worked hard to find locations where the group could still experience the beauty of the mountains despite the conditions.
Regarding Scenic World, most travellers thoroughly enjoy the famous steep railway and other rides, which are often highlights of the day. Of course, we understand that experiences can vary based on personal preference.
Additionally, we were happy to offer your group a special discounted price for the koala encounter to help make the morning more enjoyable despite the rainy start.
For future travellers reading this review, it’s worth noting that a visit to Blue Mountains National Park offers much more than just distant views. The tour includes wildlife encounters, exciting attractions, scenic walks to waterfalls, and visits to charming mountain towns such as Leura — making it a full and rewarding day regardless of weather conditions.
Kind regards,
Sydney Top Tours

It was a wonderful experience with a knowledgeable guide/driver. I appreciated him gently managing the group in the new Mercedes van so the whole group could hear him. He was always very engaging with us. This was a “must do” excursion!!!! Highly recommend!!!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you, Tiffanie, for your kind review.
Sydney Top Tours is delighted to hear that you had a wonderful experience on the Blue Mountains small group tour from Sydney. It’s great to know that the commentary was engaging and that the small-group setting in the Mercedes vehicle allowed everyone to comfortably hear and enjoy the experience throughout the journey.
The Blue Mountains is truly a must-see destination, and it’s wonderful to hear that the day met your expectations. Thank you for the recommendation and for joining the tour. Sydney Top Tours hopes to welcome you again on a future visit to Sydney.

Great trip to see Blue mountains, animals and the sky rails. Our guide Rocky was also very knowledgeable and thorough. Thank you for a fun day!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your review, David. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the trip to see the Blue Mountains, the animals, and the sky rails. It’s great to know Rocky’s knowledge and thorough guidance helped make the day enjoyable. We appreciate you sharing your experience.
CHRISTOPHER_D, Mar 2026
This tour is great, with lots of opportunities to take photos of nature and get up close to a lot of animals. Keep in mind that the weather can affect the experience. I think as long as you are willing to compromise a bit based on this you will really enjoy yourself. If you absolutely have to do one of the attractions, it may take a bit more time than the tour can fit in (like ride every attraction at scenic park multiple times). This tour does a great job of providing something for everyone.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Dear sir,
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We’re glad you enjoyed the opportunities to take photos of nature and get up close to Australian wildlife during the tour in the Blue Mountains.
You are absolutely right that weather can sometimes influence the experience, as conditions in the mountains can change quickly. Our guides always do their best to adjust the day so guests can still enjoy the highlights and scenic viewpoints.
As you mentioned, a day tour is designed to offer a variety of experiences within the time available, including stops such as Scenic World. We aim to create a balanced itinerary so guests can enjoy nature, wildlife, and the most iconic sights all in one day.
Thank you again for sharing your experience.
Brian_R, Mar 2026
Yes, I know that nobody can control the weather. We went here in March expecting the weather to be good. Alas, it was very bad. At the very least, the scenic world part should not happen if the visibility is poor. Also, we didn't even stop at the 3 sisters point, as we could not see anything. Perhaps the company could think about either cancelling the tour if the forecast is bad that morning. Or consider a different route if the weather is bad or changes from good to bad along the route
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Dear Brian,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback.
You are absolutely right that weather plays a big role when visiting the Blue Mountains. As an outdoor destination, views cannot always be guaranteed and conditions can change very quickly. The region is also a rainforest environment, which is what feeds beautiful waterfalls such as Katoomba Falls. On rainy days these waterfalls are often at their most spectacular, and many guests actually enjoy seeing them in full flow.
Regarding tour operations, we do provide a 24-hour cancellation window for guests who prefer not to travel if the weather forecast looks unfavourable. Unfortunately, cancelling the tour on the morning of departure is not always possible as guides and drivers are already scheduled and working for the day.
When visibility is very limited at lookouts such as Echo Point Lookout where the Three Sisters are located, our guides make on-the-day decisions based on conditions. Fog can sometimes lift quickly in the mountains, which is why we still travel through the area when possible.
Thank you again for your suggestions. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and hope you still enjoyed parts of the Blue Mountains day tour despite the challenging weather conditions.
Selma_H, Mar 2026
Well worth the early start.. only one minus was that the lunch stop could have been a little longer so we could have had a quick look in the cute town.. great guide .. views were great & we were very lucky had had good weather 😎
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Selma,
Thank you for your lovely review. We’re very pleased to hear that the early start was worthwhile and that you enjoyed the beautiful views and the good weather during your Blue Mountains day tour. It’s also great to know that you had a positive experience with your guide.
Thank you as well for your feedback about the lunch stop. Previously we allowed 45 minutes for lunch in the charming village of Leura, and after considering recent comments from travellers we extended this to one hour. For a 10-hour Blue Mountains day tour, this is the maximum time we can reasonably allow while still ensuring guests can enjoy the other key experiences such as Scenic World rides, the wildlife park visit, and travel time between the main highlights.
We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again on another Blue Mountains adventure in the future.
Katherine_M, Mar 2026
We booked a (10) people max experience and paid a higher price because we wanted a small group - the van had (15) people not the (10) promised in the description, no longer stopped for breakfast, and the driver was late. It was obvious that others in the group signed up and were not receiving exactly what they signed up for as well. I feel like people signed up for a specific experience and were just consolidated into a group that didn’t exactly match what they originally signed up for - and it was just tough. This all might have been overcome with a better guide that was easier to understand and did not over complicate things. I could not wait for the day to be over despite the beautiful scenery and good things about the trip. I would recommend the trip if it matched the description of what I paid for and had a better guide.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Katherine,
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
For clarification for future travellers booking a Blue Mountains day tour, the original 10-person small group tours were previously operated using a smaller, older standard vehicle. We have since upgraded our fleet to a 2025 luxury Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which offers significantly more space, extra legroom, and double-padded seats for a more comfortable journey. The vehicle also includes free onboard Wi-Fi and a fridge stocked with cold bottled water for guests during the trip. While the vehicle has a higher capacity, we still aim to maintain a comfortable small-group touring experience.
Regarding the breakfast stop, the tour no longer includes a breakfast stop, and this update was communicated in the pre-departure information pack sent before the tour. Instead, we now offer later pick-ups from Sydney, allowing guests to enjoy breakfast at their hotel before departure.
In relation to the pick-up timing, the slight delay occurred because some passengers were not ready at their allocated pick-up points. As noted in our booking information, pick-up times are approximate, and on-the-spot pick-ups cannot always be guaranteed if passengers are not ready at the scheduled time.
In terms of the guide, Rocky has received many five-star reviews from previous guests praising his knowledge of the Blue Mountains and guiding experience, and we are proud of the positive feedback he consistently receives from travellers.
We appreciate you joining us and are glad you were still able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Blue Mountains. Your feedback helps provide helpful clarification for future travellers.
Kind regards,
Sydney Top Tours Team

The guide was excellent and knew what he was doing. Even though there was heavy fog he found the clear spots for us to enjoy breathtaking views
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you, Gregory, for your kind review. We're glad you enjoyed the Blue Mountains day tour. Even with the heavy fog, our guide did his best to find clear spots so you could still experience the breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains. We appreciate you joining us and hope to see you again on another tour soon.
Cindy_M, Mar 2026
Great experience! Our guide was flexible and adjusted our trip to ensure we received the best views and experiences.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you, Cindy, for your lovely review. We’re glad to hear you had a great experience on our Blue Mountains day tour. Our guides always aim to stay flexible and adjust the itinerary so guests can enjoy the best views and experiences throughout the day. We appreciate you joining us and hope to welcome you again in the future.
Rachel_P, Mar 2026
Brilliant day out. Rockie a knowledgable and friendly host who flexed the itinerary to ensure we got the best possible views of Three Sisters. Wildlife park on way home was lovely as well. So many cute koalas !!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your lovely review. We’re so glad you had a brilliant day exploring the Blue Mountains with Rocky. His goal is always to make the most of the day, and it’s great to hear that adjusting the itinerary helped you enjoy the best possible views of the Three Sisters. Finishing the trip with a visit to the wildlife park and seeing those adorable koalas is always a special highlight. We truly appreciate you joining us and hope to see you again on another adventure.
Rita_W, Mar 2026
Rocky is really friendly and knowledgeable. He communicated throughout the ride, giving information of the places we drive by. Super safe driver too.
As the weather was not looking good, he changed our itinerary to visit the wildlife park first and it turned out to be a good decision coz we got to interact/feed with the animals before the rain came.
He also took the time to drive by all the eating places and giving their specialty before we got off the vehicle for lunch. Good recommendation for Kangaroo burger at Cafe Leuna. Fantastic food.
Even though we couldn’t see the 3 Sisters, our tour ended with a secret special treat from him which was so memorable. (Something to do with sunflower seeds)
What makes the tour worth the title ‘Luxury’ is that Rocky takes the time to sincerely communicate with each and everyone, addressing us by our names throughout. Five stars for that.
Thank you again Rocky for a nice day out.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Rita,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review of our Blue Mountains day tour from Sydney.
We truly appreciate your kind words about the communication throughout the journey and for recognising the effort to ensure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Adjusting the itinerary to visit the wildlife park first was the right decision, and we’re glad you enjoyed interacting and feeding the animals before the rain arrived.
We’re also pleased the lunch recommendations were helpful and that you enjoyed the kangaroo burger at Café Leura.
Although the Three Sisters were hidden by the weather, we’re happy the cockatoo handfeeding experience with the sunflower seeds became a memorable highlight of the day.
Thank you again for joining us.
Robert_C, Mar 2026
Rocky is absolutely great and if you get him as your guide, you are very lucky! He makes sure everyone has a premium experience and is very caring. For example, he shifted the order of what we saw based on the weather to make sure we would get better weather at the times we would visit certain places. At a waterfall stop he included an impromptu cockatoo stop where he got folks who were interested to feed cockatoos. And he waited until everyone left on the ferry at Olympic Park before leaving himself. He also imparted his vast knowledge of the Blue Mountains along the way, and always with a smile. A true class act.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi Robert,
Thank you so much for your wonderful words and for taking the time to share your experience. It truly means a lot.
We’re delighted to hear that Rocky made your day so memorable. Flexibility is such an important part of any great Blue Mountains day tour, and adjusting the itinerary around the weather to maximise your views is exactly the kind of premium experience we aim to deliver. Nature doesn’t always follow a schedule — but we certainly try our best to work with it!
The cockatoo encounters often become the highlights of the day. And of course, ensuring every guest is safely on the ferry at Olympic Park before heading off is simply part of our commitment to genuine care and responsibility.
We’re especially pleased you enjoyed the knowledge shared along the journey — the Blue Mountains has so much depth, history, and beauty to explore, and sharing it with a smile makes it even more special.
Thank you again for your kind words and for choosing to travel with us. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!
Philip_V, Feb 2026
Going to the Blue Mountains is like stepping into Jurassic Park! The views are incredible! Make sure you get a front seat on the red cable car when you go to Scenic World. We felt this was a tourist trap, but interesting nonetheless. We also got to pat a koala at the Wildlife Zoo. The times at each stop can seem short, but Rocky, our guide, told us the best approach to see everything. He did a great job!
Our guide’s accent occasionally made it difficult to understand, so be sure to let him know if you can’t hear or need clarification. Sitting closer to the front of the bus was helpful.
Be prepared for an early rise as they do not allow food/coffee on the bus and you pay for public transportation back to your starting point.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Hi Philip,
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re so glad you enjoyed the views of the Blue Mountains, the Scenic World cable cars, and patting a koala at the Wildlife Zoo. Rocky will be happy to hear your kind words—he always aims to give the best tips so travellers can make the most of their day.
Regarding food and coffee on the bus, we want to clarify this is strictly due to Transport NSW regulations. In the past, we allowed snacks and coffee, but unfortunately some travellers spilled drinks or left food behind, creating safety and cleaning issues for our drivers. To keep the bus safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, we now only allow water on board. We appreciate your understanding.
Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We hope to see you on another adventure soon!
Victoria_P, Feb 2026
It’s very weather dependent - we saw nothing due to cloud cover. Guide was good but should have made the call for longer lunch given the weather.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Hi Victoria,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry the weather didn’t cooperate on the day of your visit. The Blue Mountains is very much an outdoor experience, and unfortunately cloud cover can sometimes impact the views, which is completely weather dependent.
For this reason, we always offer a 24-hour cancellation option or the flexibility to change your departure date if the forecast isn’t looking favourable. We completely understand how important the views are to the experience.
Regarding the lunch stop, as this is a shared group tour, the timing is scheduled in advance and last-minute extensions aren’t always possible without affecting the rest of the group’s itinerary. That said, we appreciate your feedback and will certainly take it on board.
We’re sorry again for the inconvenience caused by the weather and truly appreciate you joining us and sharing your thoughts.
Andreas_M, Feb 2026
Long day but absolutely worth it! Be aware that time for lunch is not that long, but it works and in the end you see the most.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
Sydney Top Tours is pleased to hear that you found the day absolutely worth it. The Blue Mountains itinerary is carefully designed to ensure guests experience as much as possible in one day, while still allowing time to relax and enjoy each stop.
We appreciate your note regarding the lunch timing. While the schedule is structured to maximise sightseeing, the team continually reviews timing to ensure it remains comfortable and balanced for everyone.

Mountain weather rolled in so unable to see Three Sisters despite the fact our guide Raki tried a couple times. But I did the hike to Wentworth Falls and it was worth it even in the drizzly rains. Leura is a quaint village, though busy on a Saturday mostly due to a cruise ship in port in Sydney that weekend. Highly recommend Featherdale wildlife park, our last tour stop. It’s big enough to be able to see the native Aussie animals but small enough to be able to interact with most and not need to spend all day there.
Raki was very knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. I very much recommend touring with him!

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and detailed review.
While the mountain weather can sometimes be unpredictable, Sydney Top Tours appreciates your understanding and is glad that Rocky made every effort to provide opportunities to view the Three Sisters. Even on misty days, the Blue Mountains have their own unique atmosphere, and it’s wonderful to hear that your hike to Wentworth Falls was still a rewarding experience, even in the drizzle.
It’s also great to know you enjoyed the charm of Leura and had such a positive experience at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Many guests appreciate that it offers meaningful interactions with native Australian wildlife without feeling overwhelming.
Rocky will be especially pleased to hear your kind words about his knowledge, personality, and helpful approach. Thank you for your strong recommendation and for choosing to tour with Sydney Top Tours.

Good day trip. Multiple pick up points. Rocky will accompany you to the drop off point also; it's a 30min ride on the ferry back to CBD.

Our guides were awesome. They made sure we saw the views by coming back in the afternoon after the fog burned off. They took fantastic care of us and we always felt very safe. They were very informative and fun!

Thank you, Diane, for joining our Blue Mountains small group day tour from Sydney. We’re very glad to hear you enjoyed the day despite the rainy weather.
Rocky always does his best to adjust the experience to suit our guests, so stopping early for photos and helping you capture special moments at the Three Sisters lookout, as well as your photos with the koalas and kangaroos, is exactly what we aim for. We also appreciate your comments about the time at the wildlife sanctuary, as feedback like this helps us improve the pacing of the tour for everyone.
