Truly a MUST DO in Athens

This is a must do if you love food, and are going to be in Athens. Arela was the best guide we could’ve asked for - sharing the culture, history, and importance of these Greek dishes/foods. She was so genuinely sweet to all of us. The tastings were plentiful, fresh, and included a variety of different things. Sure, you can eat Gyros and Souvlaki anytime you are in Greece, but this tour is so much more than that. The value is amazing, everything is close by, and Arela made us feel like family during the entire tour. We would recommend this to anyone who appreciates food, and has a few hours in Athens. Come hungry because we are now headed to our hotel to nap! What a great experience!

Our food tour was one of the absolute highlights of our time in Greece! From the moment we met Elizabeth, she made us feel welcome with her warm personality, incredible knowledge, and genuine love for her city. By the end of the tour, she didn’t just feel like a guide—she felt like family. Elizabeth took us to several amazing local spots where we experienced authentic Greek cuisine, and every single stop was outstanding. Each place offered something unique, and everything we tasted was absolutely delicious. My biggest piece of advice is to come hungry! There is so much incredible food, and you’ll definitely want to save room for the final dessert stop—it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening. My husband had only been in Greece for a few hours before we started the tour, and it couldn’t have been a better introduction to the country. Not only did we discover incredible food and learn about Greek culture, but staying active on the tour also helped us adjust to the local time. If you’re visiting Athens, this tour is a must-do. Footsteps of the ancients

In the foot steps of the ancients. Literally. Each person should bring fresh cold water. Vending machines available but long lines at the start. Refilling stations along the route. Great tour including knowledgeable guide. We had Janus who spoke clearly in English and made the ancient history interesting for teens and adults alike. He handles the crowds well and found us shade at every stop. Highly recommended to have a guide at this amazing site.

Great way to see the highlights

We had a great experience with Michael on this tour! He was great at pacing through all of the many sights, so we never felt rushed or like we were waiting. He was great at telling all the stories and making them come alive. It was so helpful to be able to pre purchase entry tickets as well. This tour will let you see all the main historic sights with entertaining background. Highly recommended!

The BEST intro to Athens- explore the city by ebike

My sisters and I did this e-bike tour on our first day in Athens, and it really was a fantastic way to familiarize ourselves with neighborhoods, start to take in some views and even get recommendations for local restaurants to try after the fact. Our e-bike guide was named Marios and we loved him- he was super kind and thoughtful in helping everyone learn how to use the e-bike, monitored pace throughout the day, and was super funny with jokes to keep everyone in good spirits. Altogether, our group was about 10-15 people who had different skill levels of riding the bikes- some pros and other novel riders, and Marios was super thoughtful in making sure everyone could follow along on a pace that worked well for us. Throughout the morning, he had us stop at several spots for pictures like the observatory, Hadrian’s arch, local churches, and some epic views of the Acropolis. Even in the heat of July, going on this morning ride through the city was so enjoyable the bikes were easy to use- with up to 5 speeds to choose from depending on your bike (and how much motor assistance you wanted for the hills). If you’ve never ridden an ebike before you’d be able to learn pretty quickly and enjoy the ride! Coupling this great adventure and Marios’ jokes with the super thoughtful follow up emails we received after the trip of local restaurants to try plus a map/extra details of all the places we rode together/saw was an awesome way to kick off our time in Athens and I would HIGHLY recommend it for you!
