For Acropolis Museum: Greek Senior citizens and Senior citizens from EU countries, 65 years of age and over, are eligible for reduced admission with current identification card to confirm age. However they will have to wait in line.
For Acropolis Museum: EU citizens aged 0-18 are entitled to have free admission tickets. However, they have to wait in line to show ID card or passport.
For Acropolis Museum: Children under 5 years of age, from non-EU countries are entitled to have free admission tickets.

For Acropolis Museum: Young persons under 18 years of age, from non-EU countries are eligible for reduced admission fee, but they will have to wait in line with current identification card to confirm age.
For Acropolis Hill: Non-EU childern up to 5 years old are entitled to have free admission tickets. However, they must wait in line to present ID card or passport for verification (age and country).
For Acropolis Hill: From 1 April to 31 October children and young people aged between 6 and 25 years, from non-European Union countries, are entlitled for reduced admission upon presentation of their passport for verification of their age and country of origin. However, they have to wait in line.
For Acropolis Hill: From 1 April to 31 October senior citizens over 65 from Greece or other EU member-states and the European Economic Area, are eligible for reduced admission upon presentation of their ID card or passport for verification of their age and country of origin.
For Acropolis Hill: EU citizens aged 0-25 are entitled to have free admission tickets. However, they have to wait in line to show ID card or passport.
In the Acropolis archaeological site, head to the validating machines and show your e-ticket. Likewise, in the Acropolis Museum proceed directly to the expedited line to get your ticket scanned. Tickets will be sent to your email 24 hours prior to your visit

Time slots are not applicable for Acropolis Museum
To reach the Acropolis, exit Acropolis metro station (Line 2), head towards Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, and walk along it. The Theatre of Dionysus will be on your right.
Please be aware that there may be long queues at the entrance, so you might need to wait before entering.

Recorded guides were cumbersome

Although we did appreciate the guided tours (lots of stories about the Gods and the myth stories), we had a difficult time finding what they were talking about. The location descriptions were vague. We gave up listening fairly quickly and just read the informational signs. We didn’t even bother at the Museum. Next time I would just buy entrance tickets. Although it looks like a long steep climb it is surprisingly easy. Go at your own pace and you should be fine. Go as early as you can because it for really busy after 9:30. It was wonderful when we went in at 8am.

Avoid Viator but not the Acropolis!

The Acropolis is amazing-just be sure to get skip the line tickets for an early entrance. The new museum is vast and very modern; however it does not have enough signage to help you through the exhibits. That said, both these attractions are worth the visit, but we will not be using Viator in the future to secure tickets or excursions. After paying a hefty price for skip the line tickets and audio guides for both the hill and the museum, we discovered that the two electronic tickets we received were identical-for the hill only. We did not receive tickets for the museum, EVEN THOUGH the tickets were labelled as such. In the end, we were obliged to pay an extra 40 Euros to enter the museum. We will be asking for a refund of our original payment to Viator, but based on our previous experience with this company, I expect to run into significant difficulty with this. Needless to say, after being twice burned, we will not be recommending Viator as a supplier of vacation excursions or tickets.

Confusion

It was very confusing a difficult getting our tickets. The tickets were not accessible until day before and we had no way print and internet an issued so downloading was issue. We ultimately had to stand in line and buy new tickets after all the confusion and downloading mishaps because we missed our time slot. We also could not access the audio tours. Not fool proof but an earlier delivery might have made a difference

Self Guided much better than Guided Tour

Great way to view the Acropolis Coliseum and Museum for a cheaper price than a long, boring guided tour. We went at our own pace and did not have to stop at every sight to hear a tour guide give a very long explanation. I kept seeing people on guided tours who were not paying attention, on their phones and not even keeping up walking with the group. Basically they were bored. The only issue we encountered is the software did not download on my husband's phone who has an Android but it worked on my I-phone. Internet signal is very weak and no wifi so be sure to download tickets and the audio beforehand. We didn't even bother to use the audio since my husband couldn't hear it. We just walked and read things on our own that had written material. The company agreed to give a partial refund since we didn't have full access to the audio. Also, be prepared to walk up a lot of hills, stairs, slippery rocks, marble, pebbles. The Acropolis Coliseum is not ADA friendly and not all that safe to get to the top. Once you arrive to the top, you cannot even enter the inside of the coliseum, can only walk around it. I think that's a total waste of walking so far in hot temperatures to not be able to go inside. Otherwise, it's still a good attraction and I'm glad we bought this self guided tour versus wasting a lot of money on a guided tour.

Audio tour confusing

Very efficient but not made clear in the beginning before purchase that tickets will need be downloaded on day before trip to Acropolis and museum and the need to download the apps to get those tickets and audio tour before you arrive to Greece. No problem once downloaded tickets. The audio tour unfortunately was too fast poor directions going from one exhibit to another. Very confusing and I could not follow the discussion well

An excellent counterpart

We actually didn't really use the audio tour portion, but it was great skipping the line and gaining entrance. Plus, being able to listen to the tours after the fact was great too, then you can review them with your photos. One thing I wish the audio tours had was the ability to listen at different speeds, some of these narrators, while interesting, speak much slower than we walk, and being able to listen at a faster speed would be great!

This is a good purchase if you are tech savvy and/or can follow instructions very closely because after the purchase, you will need to download and access a couple of sites/apps to get the tickets and download the audio tour. Otherwise, it's a good buy.

While we appreciated skipping the line, the audio tour did not work for one of us even though it said audio was available in the app. We listened for a bit together but ended up abandoning it altogether about 1/3 through. We both work in technology and are very savvy so want user error!

If you are vaccinated and have always wanted to see Greece, now is the time to go. Our tour of the Acropolis was amazing! No crowds! No lines! This tour allowed us to scan our phones and walk right in. The audio tour helps set the scene but we preferred to listen to it the night before and just wander peacefully through the ruins and absorb the history in silence. Silence in Greece!

Easy, fast and informative tickets and tour

Useful combination of tickets and additional info on the monuments. We wanted to be able to tour the Acropolis on our own and in our own pace and yet have some background as to where we were and what we were seeing and this ticked the boxes. This is a well planned tour. Loved the options of receiving a guide, but not tied to a group. Only word of caution I have, you can jump the line to buy the tickets with this, but you cannot jump the line to enter. The line to enter the site is the long line! If this was intended to allow skip the line for access, there aren’t any good signs on where to enter with e-tickets. We tagged along with a large organized group that bypassed the long line. Also, go early before the cruises arrive or late in the day after they leave.
