The JEWISH tour we booked on Viator included stops in museums and synagogues.. instead we were given access to those locations on our own timeframe and we wandered around Amsterdam and talked but had no specific location in mind... we left tour early since I did not enhance our understanding of the plight of Jews in Amsterdam

Patrick our guide was very knowledgeable and personable however the tour itself did not seem to be as advertised. He only handled the walk itself and pointed out the museums that were supposed to be with tickets included. We were informed the day of the tour that we had to request the museum tickets separately. The timing of it all did not work and was very awkward. We never did get tickets to the holocaust museum.

Our original tour was scheduled at 2:00. The guide was sick so they contact me to schedule an earlier time and provided tickets for the museum beforehand. Excellent communication. Our guide Patrick was delightful, friendly and very knowledgeable. Excellent way to spend the day.

If you want to learn about Jewish history and what life was like in Amsterdam during WWII, this is the tour for you. Well worth the money our guide Manuel was very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and we particularly liked the photos he shared with us. It made the history so much more touching.

We enjoyed this tour, but the advertising was misleading. We thought we would enter the Jewish museum but we did not . We only saw the outside of all the buildings but the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining.NN

If you like history or even if you don’t, this tour really brought the Jewish experience, particularly during World War II to life. Our tour guide, Patrick, narrated our way through Amsterdam. He was passionate about the history that he was sharing. He pointed out minor details in architecture, or the cityscape that we would not have ordinarily noticed and pointed out their importance. Now, although this tour did not include the Anne Frank museum tour, you still got a lot of information regarding the Frank family, their experience, and the experience of other Jewish families during that time.

Our guide Manuel was excellent. Nice, smart and very knowledgeable. He puts what happened to the Jewish community into context from the late 1400 to the Nazi occupation and how the Frank family saved themselves at least for two years while they were in hiding. This was strictly a walking tour of the sites - we didn't go into any of the sites as originally advertised so please check to make sure your tour operator doesn't include that in what they promise. The tour operator was at least responsive when we contacted them about the faulty information in their listing.

David was amazing!! We really enjoyed this tour. He shared all sorts of cultural and architectural knowledge and details of the city. The Jewish culture and landmarks was very informative. And he was funny and kind, and kept us engaged. We were lucky to have only five of us on the tour so it was easy to listen and ask questions. I would HIGHLY recommend David and this tour.

We appreciated the guided walking tour to direct us to the numerous sites in the Jewish Quarter that we would not have located easily on our own. Carlos was a well-spoken and an informative guide. As other reviewers said, this tour doesn’t include a guided tour of any museums but does include admission to those noted. We arranged to get our (separately emailed) tickets for admission to the Jewish Museum and the Holocaust Museum in advance and visited them the morning before our walking tour. (We were unable to see inside the Portuguese Synagogue since it was closed for the Sabbath on Saturday.) The tour also does NOT include the Anne Frank House but Carlos provided significant information about the Frank family and showed pictures as well. The tour ends at the Anne Frank home to which tickets should be reserved well in advance of your trip.

The tour guide was ok but the tour overall was horrible. The description of the tour was misleading as it was listed at 4-5 hours long including a walking tour and museum visits. The tour guide was not aware that my ticket came with museum visits and the tour company didn’t even have the museum tickets ready for me. I ended up needing to leave the walking tour early to go to the museums which closed at 5pm - the walking tour was 2-4pm.

We need to begin with Manuel. His vivacious personality and outstanding knowledge made the whole experience so memorable. This was my husband and my second time and we brought our son this time. Manuel took a slightly different route and added to what we learned previously. Manuel even recommended a fantastic restaurant around the corner from the Anne Frank house so we could eat before we went. Thank you Manuel for a truly fantastic experience.

Just ok. Nothing special. The itenery says it will cover the Jewish musuem, if meeting outside it means covering then it does. However nothing else. You can find cheaper tours doing the same.

This tour title is absolutely misleading . This is NOT an Anne Frank tour - if you want to really see Anne Frank - get the tickets online 6 weeks in advance from the anne frank website
On the tour guide Arthur - don't be in such a rush to complete your job . give folks a chance to rest a few minutes every km instead of just going on - without stopping !!

We had a wonderful tour. Ami was a great leader. She explained a lot about the history of the area and the museums. We had never been to the new holocaust memorial or to either of the museums. . We saw the stumbling stones and made our way to the Anne Frank and the area around it. The company honored our request snd we were able to get the tickets and get into the Anne Frank house and the museum before our tour.

Our tour guide was very informative but the price of the event claimed to include entrance into the Holocaust museum which we went to the day after the walking tour. Despite having the Viator confirmation number we were still charged an additional 80 euros. I would like this portion refunded as our tickets specifically state that this should not have been a separate charge.

The tour was quite informative. The guide moved through the information at a nice pace. We learned a lot about the Frank family, their experience, and the Jewish community during WWII. With our two boys, ages 12 and 14, they learned a lot during the tour.

Holocaust monument. 100,300 bricks with the names of those who were murdered!! Our guide was very knowledgeable! Also the nameplates in the side walks in front of homes that were stolen from the people who died in the camps. Their name and where they died was on the nameplates!

Manuel was an exceptionally knowledgeable guide. Very humorous as well. We learned so much about the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam as we were standing in those historic locations. This is a quick tour, but well worth it. It includes a 10 minute introduction which gave a timeline of events. Then the tour of the annex where Anne's family & family friends lived begins. Heartbreaking to say the least.

What an emotional experience! Arthur? Our extreme apologies, we can't recall our guides name. That is horrible of us. Non the less, he was amazing!!! The attention to details, especially for such a sensitive & delicate subject. He ensured we did not miss a thing and pointed out the history step by step. Even though we knew about Ann Frank and her family, he provided even more details that we were not aware of pre and post WWII in Amsterdam. Thank you for a wonderful day filled with a lot of emotions. We highly recommend this tour.
