Our guide Marina was fabulous!! She took so much time with us and made us feel very welcome! We learned a lot about the Jewish ghetto and the local food bites! Best tour we have had in Europe. You definitely should do this tour to be amongst the locals and taste a part of local Venice! Thanks Marina for all you did and our special time together!

This was best guide and experience we had in Venezia. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. We had a great time experiencing what she recommended to eat and drink as everything was delicious. Also just having a great conversation with our guide about the experience was the highlight. We would recommend everyone to take this tour.

Overview

Experience Venice through some of its food on this small-group tour led by a local foodie who demystifies some classic dishes. The best start to our trip in Venice. Booked this for the day we arrived. It gave us a feel for the place and some good tips from the guide. Silvia was great with lots of knowledge on the history of Venice. She took us to some great places to eat and drink local rather than tourist places. Definitely recommend.

Very informative tour Marina our guide was so lovely , gave us lots of information,places of interest to visit and recommendations of places to eat and drink that weren't in the middle of Venice where it was so expensive The tour was such good value for money , the food and cicchettis were a lovely touch Marina certainly knows her way around Venice , we would highly recommend her to show you round

Marina, our guide, was absolutely marvelous and knowledgeable about Venice. She was an absolute delight. I'm so glad I did this with my mom. We learned so much about how things were like in Venice when Nazi Germany was on the rise. Truly tragic and horrific time in human history. The food and wine was delicious. Our guide was wonderful and charming. She introduced me to my new love of Campari! Not to mention, she ended the tour with ice cream. We would do this again. Highly recommended.

A must to learn about Cicchetti and Cannaregio

Alice did a fantastic job educating us on the history of the area and the current day trends. We went to two Cicchetti bars and they were delicious. Alice explained the different types of spritz’s and we tried the local Select which was very good. We finished with a stop for some amazing gelato - the dark chocolate and pistachio was a must. Alice’s knowledge and passion really came through and made this for an exciting evening. She made the tour very relaxing and it felt like we were out with a friend. A must do to get to know Cannaregio area and learn about Cicchetti and spritz.

Super cute and quaint tour. Alici was an amazing tour guide, and it was obvious that she loves Venice and her neighborhood that she gets to passionately share about. It felt like we were walking the streets of Venice with a new friend. She picked out the best and most delicious cicchetti. She gave us a very helpful list for other spots to visit that we're off the normal tourist areas where locals frequent. Would definitely recommend as a great introduction to venice.

Our tour was extremely informative. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable in the history of the local area and the local quisine+ why Venetian’s prepared foods to preserve them at a time when there was no refrigeration.

Tour started with a dessert item since the bakery was closing soon. The rest of the tour appeared to be items that were favorites and prearranged by the guide herself. Great Intro Tour to Cannaregio

Lovely small group tour. Guide Alice/Alicia was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. Tour covered brief history of the Jewish ghettos in Venice and then short walks to three different establishments - two for cicchetti and one for gelato. Food and drink value per person was in the €20-€30 range, so you’re paying for the local insight, history, translation, and guidance. Great foundational tour if you’re staying in Cannaregio, as the guide offered the group a list of recommended spots for cicchetti in the sestieri.
