We had a great time exploring Venice with Marina on this food tour. It ended up being just the four of us on the tour, which made it feel very personal and relaxed. Marina was incredibly personable and friendly from the start—easy to talk to and genuinely passionate about sharing Venice with us.
We stopped at several spots to try delicious cicchetti, spritz and wine and a few other dishes. Marina did a wonderful job explaining the local food, wine and culture while keeping the atmosphere light and enjoyable.
Overall, it was a really memorable way to experience Venice beyond the usual tourist paths. A great mix of food, drinks, and local insight. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a more personal and authentic tasting tour. Marina was amazing and made us feel like family. Thank you for a great time!

The Experience was wonderful. We booked the tour for the day we arrived in Venice and unfortunately we were delayed getting to our meeting point because of a water taxi delay. However, both Viator and Maria, our tour guide, were amazing with staying in communication with us and making sure we were able to joint the tour as soon as possible. Maria was very informative and very thoughtful. Her knowledge of the city’s history and the local cuisine was great. She also went out of her way to make sure that we were able to sample everything that we had missed because of our late arrival. A food tour is a great way to start a visit to a new city. Not only do you get to sample delicious food, but you also get to see and learn about parts of the city that you may not have seen otherwise.

We had a fabulous food tour with our guide Carlotta. Got a great sampling of cicchetti and other delicious foods. Walked all over Venice. 2 people didn’t show up so it turned out to be a completely private tour for my family of 4. Highly recommended! Make sure you don’t eat before this tour.

You stroll areas the typical tourist does not and experience the local off the beaten path eateries. We strolled through a wonderful portion of Venice with a local guide and ate with the neighborhood Venetians and talked with the family owners of the places we ate and drank at. We felt like Venetians for the day.

We were so looking forward to this experience and were disappointed to receive an email last minute to cancel. It was confusing because we received one email with the information and meeting point for the tour and then within an hour it was canceled:, with no further follow-up.
We use Viator very regularly when we travel, and generally have excellent experiences. This last minute cancellation left us without reservations in Venice, and completely changed our planned day.

The cancellation was due to an unexpected emergency involving some of our local food partners, which affected our ability to deliver the tour as intended. To maintain the quality and consistency of the experience we offer, we made the difficult decision to pause our Venice tours between June 1st and 3rd.
We recognize that receiving a confirmation followed by a cancellation shortly after must have been confusing, and we understand how that impacted your day. While this kind of situation is not common, we are reviewing how we communicate urgent changes to ensure better clarity and timing moving forward.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on one of our tours in the future—many of our guests have had a great time exploring not only Venice but also our food tours in cities all over the world. We would highly recommend this tour. Maria was very friendly, offered recommendations for local restaurants and provided information on the areas we visited which was interesting. The food was amazing and very filling and the drinks were lovely too. So much so we went back to some of the places throughout our visit.

Carlotta led us on a beautiful, unique tour of Venice! She was very friendly and engaging - sharing a lot of information about the city's culture, history, and gave recommendations on where to go for an authentic Venetian experience. We just took this food tour on January 18 and our tour guide Carlotta is amazing. She took us to try various types of food and drinks which are all very delicious. In addition while walking from one restaurant to another restaurant (we tried 7 bakeries and restaurants) she also acted as tour guide explaining all the major buildings that walked past by. She also took us to visit the fish market and the vegetable & fruit market.

What an amazing experience! Our host Clementina was fabulous, so friendly and knowledgeable, and took us through the beautiful streets of Venice. Visiting the less touristy places to eat and drink. From the Jewish ghetto to the Teatro Italia. Our tour guide Cecilia was very pleasant and friendly. Her knowledge of the area and local traditions was great! You will eat and drink, share stories and not leave hungry. We highly recommend the tour.
