Very friendly folks and nice staff. Afterwards they take you to a showroom with very expensive pieces. Don’t feel pressure to buy something unless you absolutely want to!

Excellent experience. Visit to Island of Murano followed by visit to Glass Factory including demo of the intricate technique of blowing liquid glass into an intricate object. Davide was excellent as a guide. Prompt and welcoming, he set our expectations high and met them too! Great for those who are time constrained.

Viator absolutely promised me that this non-refundable tour could pick us up and return to the cruise port at Fusina. Shortly after booking, the tour operator replied that it was impossible to do that and no refunds. Viator owned up to the error and promised a goodwill refund, which I have yet to receive.
Upon arrival at Fusina, we were able to catch a cruise shuttle to a dock in Venice, where the tour operator arranged to pick us up and take us to an amazing demo by a Murano glass artist.
1 star for Viator, 4 stars for tour provider for 5-star tour, minus 1 star for no refunds policy, equals a generous 3 stars overall.

I am very happy that my organization and my tour, because I do the tour, were to your liking! If you can book directly with me, you will have a better rate and you will be dealing with me!! Viator does not know how Venice is made and welcomes your every request!
Sometimes I find the pick up inside the Basilica of San Marco, but they understand that the boat is in the water and certainly cannot go out of the canal!!
the cruise dock in Fusina, which is not in Venice, but outside the city, cannot be reached by everyone!!

Our guide, Davide, went above and beyond. Worked around our schedule.
Was in constant contact with me from the minute I booked.
Was very knowledgeable and very personable, and patient. As a local, he was also very informative. Gave us pointers on where to go and what to do when in Venice. Would highly recommend booking any available tour with him.

First I want to say that our driver/tour guide Davide was great. We really liked him. I do feel like the information on this tour is a little misleading. Basically you meet Davide and he drives you over to Murano in his boat. He tells you a little about the city, it’s about a 5-10 minute ride. You then arrive at the glass factory. You are handed off to someone that works there and they tell you about glass blowing and you are able to watch a demonstration of them making glass—which is great. About 15 minutes. You then go up to the gallery and are walked around and told about the beautiful pieces. Then they try to get you to buy pieces. We are taking minimum 35,000 for a chandelier. 1000 dollars for a set of glasses. Very expensive. Which is understandable because it is beautiful. But we were not in a position to buy. And it got very uncomfortable when they found out we weren’t going to buy anything. You are then taken back to the mainland by a different person. The whole experience was about an hour and 15. It was interesting and Davide was great but just beware that if you aren’t planning on purchasing it will get awkward.

I so sad to ear this… thank’s about me, I like explain the glass story in front of the cafe, I make my work with a incredible passion!! This tour is made to have a amazing possibility to make shopping in one of the famous glass factory with a direct price!
You receive an amazing visit on the glass ddemostration, sorry if the price is not for anyone.
About boat, u have transfer back to Fondamenta Nove and I give an upgrade to come back by taxi (without charge extra) direct to Hotel!
Soooo hope to see u in Venice!

The best part of this tour was watching and interacting with the master glass artist. The viewing of the individual works by family was also very interesting. There was a distinct pressure to buy these very expensive works of art and although the staff were friendly and willing to speak a it the families and their specific glasswork pieces, the undertone of sales was always there. What made this experience less than perfect is the required rushing out the door after only 40 minutes. We would have liked to spend a little more time exploring the gift shops where the prices weren’t so high. The experience wasn’t quite what was described as there was no Prosecco r toilet onboard. Again, it seemed very rushed.

Sorry to ear that but the program of the trip is respected!!
If u want go around the island and found just a reseller with some not original piece or pay more that where make the glass this is not your trip!
INSIDE VENICE IS FULL OF NOT ORIGINAL “GLASS SHOP”, cheap and fake! Go there if u want an imitation!!!
No toilettes on board (5 min by boat) and I offer cafe and Prosecco but u say no!! You are the first in 12 years of this experience that u don’t like the glass art!
You start at 8.50 and u come back at 10.30!!
So.. VENICE IS UNIQUE, ART IS UNIQUE. Buy plastic next time!!

Davide si è dimostrato un accompagnatore estremamente gentile, simpatico e disponibile; lo stesso vale per Gian Luca, che ci ha guidati nella visita alla vetreria (produzione ed esposizione): assolutamente soddisfatti!
