Overview

Anyone can go to Venice and buy a handcrafted mask, but this private workshop lets you create your own keepsake to take home. Escape the tourist hordes in an intimate mask workshop in Venice’s authentic Cannaregio district. What To Expect

Depending on the start time specified at checkout, make your way to Ca Macana located at Dorsoduro 3172. On arrival at the workshop of the artist, you’ll receive an introduction to the tradition of Venetian masks and learn a little about their history.

Then, each participant chooses two masks from more than 50 different styles, individually inspired by fantasy, fairy tale, carnival, and other genres. Paint your mask using acrylic tempera paints of different colors, and then add finishing touches such as feathers, ribbons, and sequins.

At the end of your experience, bid your guide farewell with your creation in tow.
