Head to one of the few remaining artisan mask studios still active in Venice for this mask-making workshop, a wonderful way to unleash your creativity—and craft a unique and expressive souvenir. Learn the history of Venetian masks and the artisans who make them, then paint and decorate your own mask using traditional techniques such as painting and gilding. Your tutor is on hand throughout to help realize your vision.

The workshop was a true pleasure, the host started with a little history explanation of the different types of masks and the colors, we then continued with choosing a design for our mask and painting them with the guidance of the host. All in all it was a great experience if you want to feel a small part of the venician art.
Very quaint shop, intimate and welcoming. Kids loved the options, not too many to overwhelm, just enough to engage them effectively and get them excited about their creation.
My kids enjoyed making Beautiful painted Venetian palazzos. They spent just over an hour on this activity.

Incredibly pleasant host. She knew just the right balance to ensure my mask did not turn out to be a train wreck, but gave me a lot of latitude where I did make my own. I would highly recommend any family doing this if you’re in Venice.

Brilliant time designing our own masks. Beautiful setting. We had a fun couple of hours. Would recommend this activity to give you a break from all the walking
Sofia was a great host. The kids (18 & 14) really enjoyed making their masks. The shop was small and quaint great for group of four or less. Highly recommend this experience.
