On occasion, Laura’s friend Ilaria, also a native Venetian in her thirties, may be present during your experience to assist or join in.
Laura can comfortably host up to 4 guests, but is happy to accommodate 5 if needed - just note that space may be a bit cozy.

Learning the secret of preparing great Risotto and the best Tiramisu

Laura is a wonderful person and opens her Italian home kitchen to her guests. She is very lovely and personable. Her apartment is small and accommodes 1-3 guests Her home is in the Dorsoduro district that is about a 30 minute walk from Venice central. You can take a water taxi. We walked. GPS amazingly guided us correctly and we felt safe walking late at night. The wine and quality of the products Laura uses is very good. We did not get to go to the market which was dissapointing. Her wine selection was good too. I recommend this experience

What an incredible time with Laura. She blessed us by opening her home to myself, my wife and two small kids (8 and 10 year old). Her explanation and cooking was incredible. Dinner was absolutely outstanding. We’ve even blessed to meet her boyfriend and learn quite a bit about their journey in Venice.

We spent a lovely afternoon walking through Laura's neighborhood and local market, learning more about daily Venetian life, and venturing beyond the typical tourist areas. We enjoyed cooking in her kitchen, and it was just the right amount of demonstration and hands-on cooking for our group of teens and adults. With lots of laughter, conversation, and a delicious lunch, our afternoon with Laura was a highlight of our trip.

This was the best experience of our vacation to Venice! After two days of getting saturated with tourist spots, we looked forward to seeing Venice through a local's perspective. Our host Laura was so warm and engaging. She gave us a view of life in Venice without the influence of tourist commercialization. We learned how to make risotto and tiramisu--knowledge that will last us a lifetime! For those that want a calmer and more gratifying experience in Venice, this is a must-do. Don't leave Venice without trying this out. You'll be thankful you did!

My boyfriend got this private cooking class on our first trip to Venice and we could not have had a better experience with Laura. We started off the morning exploring and shopping for ingredients in a farm market near her apartment. We went to Laura’s apartment to eat cheese, drink wine, and start cooking a veggie risotto and tiramisu. Everything was absolutely delicious and we would definitely do this tour again! If you have half a day, this is a must do!! Thank you for an incredible experience, Laura!

Chef Laura is the best. So friendly and knowledgeable. She taught us how to make a delicious tomato risotto and tiramisu. She took us to a local vegetable market that was on a boat. Highly recommend.

This was an outstanding activity. Our host Laura was fabulous and made the day. We were a family of four, 2 kids aged 12 and everyone got involved with the cooking. Laura was so welcoming to us in to her home. I really cannot recommend this tour more highly.

Laura was an absolute joy! We loved our class with her! She took us on a walk to the market where we learned about Venetian culture and daily life. Being from the United States my husband and I aren't used to going to a different store or market for different ingredients. She took us to the vegetable and fruit boat, the wine store, the fisherman's stand, and the butcher. I enjoyed being in the market and much as I did learning to cook! Laura was an excellent teacher and we learned how to make a true homemade Italian meal from the ingredients that we purchased at the market. The food was delicious, the conversation was easy, and the experience will be forever remembered! Thank you Laura!! My phone wouldn't let me upload photos with Laura or I would posted quite a few!
