The Tulum ruins are in such a beautiful setting. We’ve toured 3 other ruin sites in Mexico and Tulum’ setting is just stunning. Our guide Beto was terrific! Funny and extremely knowledgeable and he seemed to really enjoy sharing his immense knowledge! We learned so very much. He allowed us as much time as we wanted overlooking the sea and exploring on our own after his detailed tour. He’s just such a good guide!
Favian picked us up and drove, and he was also our guide at the cave cenote. He was wonderful! Had all the equipment we needed for snorkeling. Explained everything so very well and got into the water with us and guided us around and took us to parts you had to have a guide for. It was amazing!!! He even took GoPro videos and pics and shared us with those after. He did an excellent job! The cenote was so refreshing after the heat at Tulum. We’ve done open cenotes, but this cave one was very cool.
Take this private tour! You will not regret it! We all had the best time!

Very important to know that you will have two guides…one at the ruins, one at the cenote. We didn’t know this and didn’t bring enough cash to tip both guides. We had an excellent experience at both places. Beto was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who was friendly, funny, and professional. We learned so much from him in a short period of time. Fabian was a great driver and made us feel comfortable in the cenote. He pointed out obstacles and took tons of great pictures, plus expertly led us through some tight spots. Highly recommend!

The tour agency's van arrived right on time, which was a great start. Although we booked a private tour, it’s worth noting that the agency might use shared transportation to pick up other guests before starting the private portion.
The driver was excellent—super nice and made us feel very safe throughout the journey. However, the tour guide at the archaeological ruins was disappointing. While he seemed knowledgeable, his storytelling was scattered and not presented in a clear or chronological order, which detracted from the experience.
Next, we visited the cenote, which was absolutely stunning. We had a lovely time there. An added bonus was that our driver also happened to be a lifeguard, which made us feel even safer during our visit.
Overall, the transportation and cenote experience were great, but the tour guide at the ruins could use improvement

Cannot recommend more! Cesar was by and far the most passionate and informative guide. He was so inspiring! Also it was just the 2 of us- private is the way to go. The cenote was simply an experience we will never forget! Entire day was beyond expectations!

I could have skipped the Mayan ruins tour - too crowded and not that interesting given the amount of time we spent there. But Ricardo, our driver and guide for the cenote, gave us an amazing experience in the cenote. That made everything worthwhile.

Can’t recommend the Ricardo experience enough! He was our driver and cenote guide. He picked us up in a timely manner and had a fun playlist ready for us in the van. It started to downpour and he helped us buy ponchos before passing us to Elias to take us through the ruins. Elias taught us all about Mayan culture and was very funny throughout his portion. After he helped us find Ricardo again where we headed to a famous cenote! It wasn’t crowded and we had so much fun snorkeling and learning more about Mayan culture. He even helped us get some street tacos making the experience a 1000/100!

great tour/experience. We were dodging a tropical storm so it was raining, but had a great time anyways - it was nice because it wasn't hot. The ruins were great and Beto did a great job with the history. Ricardo was our driver and guide in the cenote. The cenote was beautiful and Ricardo brought his go pro and took pictures that he emailed to use afterwards. Overall would highly recommend this experience!

We had the best day in Tulum! The ruins are stunning and Vetos guidance made the experience that much richer and more interesting. Then Fabian took us to a stunning cave cenote. We had plenty of time to swim, snorkel and explore. Fabian took photos of us snorkeling on a waterproof GoPro to send to us after. The cenote has bathrooms and change rooms as well.

Our tour guide was amazing!!! He brought the history of the ruins to life in a light and engaging manner. The cave visit was a beautiful experience! Picturesque with crystal clear water - perfect for swimming!

We were picked up by Ricardo and Fabian at our Air bnb in a timely manner. They passed us over to Beto when we got to the Tulum ruins. We loved our tour with him. You can tell he loves the area. He is super knowledgeable, personable and fun. We finished the tour and he let us wander around as long as we wanted. We got back to the air conditioned van and had some cold beverages waiting. Next stop was the cave cenote. Ricardo and Fabian took us around the cenote. It was amazing. They took under water pictures that they air dropped to us in the van on the way home. It was a very cool experience. Overall the day was perfect and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Thanks guys! 11/10

What an amazing tour. The ruins were nice and our private tour guide loaded us up with information. The we went to the cenotes which was spectacular. Richard was amazing, no crowds and we had a great time. Would definitely recommend. Best part of the trip. Both guides were amazing and know their stuff.

Everything was great! I would like to say how great Beto was during our tour of the Mayan ruins. We thoroughly enjoyed all of his knowledge that he shared. The cenote was A+!!! Very short walk (couple hundred feet) from where the van lets you out to the actual cenote! The water was beautiful. I do recommend water shoes! I would highly recommend this private tour.

What an amazing experience!!! Ricardo picked us up and spent time with us in the cenote taking us to the backside of the cave. It was spectacular and not busy at all! It was stunning, we then got to spend all the time we wanted swimming around on our own accord which was lovely!! BUT the most amazing part was the first experience at the Tulum ruins with Beto… I cannot say enough about how knowledgeable he was. We learned so much. He also took time to take our pictures as a family. All in all this was worth every penny and I highly, highly recommend. Viator has yet to let me down!

I was a little nervous due to the low reviews count however I was blown away after the experience. Tour guides were amazing, the best part is they don’t rush you. Take all the time you’d like, there isn’t a particular time you need to be picked up or dropped off which we enjoyed. Ceaser who will walk you around the Tulum Ruins is very knowledgeable. It is more of a conversation than a presentation which made it personable and fun. His English is fantastic. Richard who will be your driver was guide during the Centoe is a joy to be around. You can tell he is very passionate in what he does for a living. They also brought a cooler with Sodas and bottled water which we really appreciated on hot a day. 5 Stars would book again.

Outstanding tour of the Tulum Ruins and the Taak Bi Ha Cenote! Our driver/ guide, Ricardo, was great -- he picked us up from our hotel at the designated time, made sure we connected with our guide for the Tulum Ruins tour, and gave us an incredible diving tour of the underground cenote. He provided snorkels and masks for us at the cenote, and let us use his GoPro to take underwater photos and video (I'm not sure how we're going to get those from him, but hopefully we do because it was an INCREDIBLE experience -- Viator, please help connect us!). He provided cold beverages for us, and did a great job explaining the significance of the cenotes to the Mayan culture. Diving in the cenote was hands down one of the coolest travel experiences I have ever had. I highly, highly recommend this tour!

My wife thought it best to get a private tour of the ruins and I’m glad we did. We had Fabian as our driver 2 excursions and he was great! Cesar Augustus was our guide for the ruins. He was prof, personable and extremely knowledgeable! It was a time!
Fabian snorkeled with us at the cenote. The water was chilly and it was a little crowded, but overall refreshing and pleasant. I highly recommend Turtle Travel for any excursions!

Our giudes Beto and Fabian were knowledgeable, patient, and kind. The Tulum ruins were an amazing lesson in history and a trip back in time. The cenote was magical and beautiful. We felt safe the entire time. This overall was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend booking!

This was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had! Our guide at the ruins might have been one of the most knowledgeable historians I have ever met. He was also Mayan and from the area so knew the history in much greater detail. The ruins are incredible and having someone who knows so much about them made the experience so much more memorable.
Our drivers and guides for the Cenotes were also incredibly knowledgeable. They took us to a Cenote with very few people and led us through a cave tour. It was one of the wildest places I have ever seen. Without the gear and their guidance, we would never have seen half of what we did.

This tour was amazing and the highlight of our week. Beto, our guide for the ruins was knowledgeable and such a great time while we were walking around. Our guide for the cenote gave us the best snorkeling experience. What you see in the pictures is truly the tip of the iceberg. During both experiences our guides also gave us some privacy to do our own exploring which was awesome for us a couple.

What an amazing tour. Our tour guide was honestly the best ever! He was so educated and knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and history. I’m so happy we got such an awesome experience. 10/10 recommend Turtle Travel Riviera Maya!
