Eduardo was a wonderful guide! He was friendly and well accommodating, and provided lots of time for us to enjoy the first cenote to ourselves. Clean vehicle and snacks included! He was very fun and even had great recommendations for the remainder of our trip. The first cenote we arrived right away and was private to enjoy without crowds. He even took photos for us while we enjoyed the swim. Sac Actun was the highlight of our vacation, and he had great information and made it so fun! Would highly recommend a private tour with Eduardo for any adventure!

If you ask the locals which cenotes to visit in Tulum, Juan our guide pretty much took us to all of those it and was unforgettable! Escondido & Dos Ojos

Such a cool experience with a great guide. Worth the extra cash imo for the private tour. Juan is incredibly knowledgeable about the centotes and the cave systems. Felt safe the entire time and the fruit Juan provided was delicious!

If you’re considering a snorkeling cave tour, do yourself a favor and ask for Juan as your guide. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Juan is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made the entire trip feel safe, organized, and relaxed while still keeping it fun and adventurous.
What really stood out was how well he explained the history and geology of the caves. You can tell he genuinely enjoys sharing the experience and making sure everyone understands what they’re seeing. The caves themselves were absolutely stunning—crystal-clear water, incredible rock formations, and an atmosphere that’s hard to describe unless you see it yourself.
Juan also did a great job making sure everyone in the group was comfortable in the water and confident with the equipment. That level of attention makes a huge difference, especially in an environment like a cave system.
Bottom line: this was one of the highlights of our trip. If you get the chance to go, request Juan as your guide. You’ll be in excellent hands and you’ll walk away with an unforgettable experience.

This adventure will push you to the limits of your comfortability. Juan is an excellent tour guide and also an avid free diver. His knowledge about the cenote is very extensive and he is able to calmly guide you through the underground caves while explaining all the details about them. Life vest , wetsuit, and snorkeling gear was all provided. I don’t think there are many other experiences like this one in Tulum. The private route is definitely the way to go so you are able to navigate and control the amount of time that you would like to spend at each cenote. Juan speaks perfect English and a location of the tours is only a short 35 to 40 minute drive from the hotels that we stayed at in the southern portion of Tulum. If you are seeking adventure and under ground experience like no other, this is the one. We spent about 45 minutes to an hour, touring the underground caves in the water the entire time. Juan asked us at one point if we would like to see what it looks like in total darkness. We all turned off our flashlights and it was a darkness and a silence that we had never experienced. Some would not be able to handle it for as long as we did, but to each their own. Lol.

Juan was fantastic. Avoided the crowded cenotes, combining relaxation and adventure while valuing conservation.

Juan is a lovely human being, we felt so lucky to get to meet him and to share in his enthusiasm for cenotes sac actun. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Juan is an absolutely phenomenal guide! His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for what he does shine through every moment of the tour. He goes above and beyond to make the experience meaningful, memorable, and incredibly fun. You can tell he truly cares about the people he guides and the places he shares. If you’re considering this tour — don’t hesitate. Juan is exceptional, and I recommend him wholeheartedly!

This was by far the best excursion we’ve ever taken!! Juan was so personable, knowledgeable, and patient. You won’t regret it!!

Our family, ages 6-76 had a fabulous time exploring the cenotes, especially those underground. We were lucky enough to see grey foxes, monkeys and bats as well. Juan was an excellent, patient guide. This was a highlight of our time in Tulum!

This was one of the coolest tours we've ever been on (the whole family agreed). Cannot recommend highly enough. Definitely ask for Juan to lead your tour. The open cenote and the caves were amazing, unlike anything we've ever seen. We are a 3 generation group ranging from age 10 to age 76, everyone loved it.

Visiting the Cenotes is a must do while in Tulum. It is beautiful and otherworldly. This is a unique experience. Swimming back in the caves was amazing! Juan was a wonderful guide.

Fantastic trip, so relaxing, completely bespoke to what we would like to do. No rush or stress to go faster or go from one place to the other. Juan was fantastic, very easy going with lots of knowledge and information! Highly recommend!

Juan was the best tour guide. We went to some awesome cenotes and swam in beautiful caves. This was a once in a lifetime experience and Juan helped make it a day we will never forget.

We had a wonderful excursion with Juan. Xunaan-Ha was a beautiful and pristine cenote. We really enjoyed swimming there and jumping off the platforms. The highlight of the day, of course was going to Sac Actun. What a truly amazing and unique experience for us. Going through the caves with Juan was really spectacular. He was able to point out so many interesting things to look at while we were in the caves. Juan went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable on the trip and that we were doing everything safely. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in it.

Our guide Eduardo was amazing, and he took us to two incredibly beautiful cenotes.
One of the best experiences we’ve had.
Tami_W, Nov 2025
Amazing tour that allowed us to experience the cenote at our own pace. It feels like you are in another world while you are there. Highly recommend.
Marina_L, Oct 2025
Our guide Eduardo was excellent! Knowledgeable, kind, considerate, punctual and so much fun.
We had the best experience, we went in the early morning time frame and had both cenotes entirely to ourselves which was magical.
A water proof phone case is highly recommended if you’d like the photos, there are plenty of opportunities in the caves and at the entrances for photos, but you are in the water the majority of the hours.

Words do not do it justice. One of the best tours I have ever done, anywhere in the world, period. Juan was an exceptional guide. The cenotes were beautiful. The cave swim was the sort of thing that I never thought I would be able to do without a certification. Cannot recommend highly enough - this is as close to a must-do as I can imagine.

First off, we absolutely loved Eduardo. He was so kind and fun to be around. He was extremely educated on the area and culture. The car was nice and clean, with some delicious snacks and drinks provided. And he was early to pick us up, which we really appreciated his punctuality.
The Cenotes were absolutely gorgeous. The first cenote we went to was completely empty. It was honestly a dream come true to swim all through the Cenote and enjoy the beautiful water. We saw many fish so snorkeling was really fun. The second Cenote was the underground river system and that was truly mind blowing. Eduardo took his time on explaining the different formations and taking us through the cave system. It was absolutely gorgeous. We saw fish, birds, and bats! I was a little nervous about the caves because I can get a little claustrophobic at times but I felt comfortable the whole time, there’s plenty of exits and light which helped a ton.
I really appreciated how Eduardo was not only an amazing tour guide but even took pictures of us while we were swimming and in the caves. I’ll cherish those pictures forever.
I will absolutely book another tour with his company again, we can’t wait to be back!

Did this tour in early June and it was well worth the day trip from Cancun/Marriott. Our tour guide Juan was very friendly and knowledgeable of the cenotes we visited. The 2nd cenote with the caves was AMAZING! It was like a beautiful movie setting and we had a memorable experience. It was 2 adults and a 9 year old and we all had a great adventure that day.

Thank you Jesica!

Our tour guide, Juan, was amazing. This truly was a unique experience worth the price. At the first cenote my wife & I were the only people there (until the very end when another person arrived with her guide). The water was so clear and refreshing, a pristine & beautiful environment, I could have stayed there for hours. There was no pressure from Juan to hurry, he let us dictate the amount of time there. Juan was on time for hotel pickup, he was informative, friendly, and best of all down-to-earth. He had snacks & drinks for us and provided the snorkeling gear and even a Joto case. The second cenote was even more special, and Juan took his time to seemingly show us everything. There were a few other small groups there, but with such an expansive cave system, it mostly seemed like we had the cenote to ourselves. A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget, one of our all-time favorite excursions ever!

We visited an open cenote and a closed one that we swam through to another (I guess this is the underground river) and it was INCREDIBLE. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Juan was excellent and the cenotes were more amazing than we imagined. There was only one downside: lots of mosquitos! But it was all worth it, as it was a truly once in a lifetime spectacle, especially if you like to snorkel. I’d do it again 100%!

This was a perfect way to experience something a little off the beaten path. Our guide, Juan, was a delight to have with us on this excursion. First we went to chemuyil cenote for a quiet swim full of crystal clear water, little fish, iguanas, and even opportunities to jump into the cenote. We were the only people there for the first hour. Next we went to Sac Actun cenote and underground river. Are you kidding me!!! This place was pure magic! Clear water, stalagmites and stalactites, three species of bats, and the Turquoise-Browed Motmots were there for their annual colonial breeding season. So many Motmots!!! We also saw spider monkeys. I would go back in a heartbeat. Juan was a fun and knowledgeable guide and made everything more enjoyable.

We stand in awe every time we're there... Thank you for the review Renee!

Absolutely amazing experience. One of the cenotes was a bit more strenuous, including a few KMs of swimming/floating (think wetsuits, lifejackets, etc.) which we were not expecting but Gina was a phenomenal tour guide and made it so much fun. The second cenote was fun for swimming, diving, and pictures. All in all, so much fun and beautiful environment. Expect physical activity for one and chill vibe for another and you won’t be disappointed. Best bachelorette activity!

It was a big challenge and a thrill to explore the caves in the middle of a thunderstorm, right? :), but you guys went the extra mile and dared to discover these hidden treasures with me. Thank you for your trust and great vibes! Gina.
Paige_S, Jun 2025
This was a great and affordable excursion if you want to see some really cool cenotes without all the tourists. Juan was a fantastic guide and we got to move at our own pace! If you’re thinking about it, do it!
