First off, we absolutely loved Eduardo. He was so kind and fun to be around. He was extremely educated on the area and culture. The car was nice and clean, with some delicious snacks and drinks provided. And he was early to pick us up, which we really appreciated his punctuality.
The Cenotes were absolutely gorgeous. The first cenote we went to was completely empty. It was honestly a dream come true to swim all through the Cenote and enjoy the beautiful water. We saw many fish so snorkeling was really fun. The second Cenote was the underground river system and that was truly mind blowing. Eduardo took his time on explaining the different formations and taking us through the cave system. It was absolutely gorgeous. We saw fish, birds, and bats! I was a little nervous about the caves because I can get a little claustrophobic at times but I felt comfortable the whole time, there’s plenty of exits and light which helped a ton.
I really appreciated how Eduardo was not only an amazing tour guide but even took pictures of us while we were swimming and in the caves. I’ll cherish those pictures forever.
I will absolutely book another tour with his company again, we can’t wait to be back!

This is a private tour that includes an underground cenote and an open cenote (in our experience). The underground cenote is a unique & incredible adventure, but maybe not a great idea for people who experience claustrophobia or don't enjoy caves.
Eduardo is a fantastic tour guide, pointing out small details one would otherwise miss if not familiar with the caves (silk worms, calcified tree roots, etc). The cenotes he took us to are not popularly travelled. However, they are peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful. The underground cenote requires more physical work to get through, but is not difficult. The open cenote is swim/snack/relax at will.
Our guide, Eduardo: He's knowledgeable about the cenotes, and clearly loves the environment he both works in and protects. His demeanor is friendly in a familiar way, making the trip feel like you're hanging out with a friend versus being a tourist. My husband and I had a great time exploring the cenotes, and he was a large contribution to that.
Thank you, Eduardo!

We had the most amazing experience with Juan. His English was excellent and he was very knowledgeable and personable. We had such an incredible adventure swimming in the cenotes and exploring the underground cave system. This excursion is worth every penny! I highly recommend this activity. Juan is the best guide!

A perfect visit to cenotes that are off the beaten path and absolutely gorgeous. We had both sites to ourselves for a good portion of our tour. Juan was such a lovely guide—so knowledgeable about every aspect of what we were seeing. Having someone who understood the history of the place as well as the environment and ecology added so much to the visit…not to mention flawless English and great junky snacks that we just can’t get in the States :). Pro-tip: recommend you accept the shortie wetsuit if you tend to get cold while snorkeling. Highly recommend!!

Fun experience. I would suggest keeping conversations light - Guide was easily offended by the notion that a part of Mayan history (like every culture’s history) involved violence. When discussing Mayan culture and mythology, the guide asked if we knew about Pok-ta-Pok. I responded “Yes!” (having been fascinated by Mayan culture for years) and referenced the use of a decapitated head. Before I could finish my sentence (about Popol Vuh and other historical or mythological references I’d learned), the guide scoffed and said “No, that’s ridiculous.” - It felt really strange for someone to take offense and make it seem as if I had insinuated that violence is the only aspect of Mayan culture. I thought I would clarify by saying that I didn’t think it was a bad thing and that every culture has different aspects of violence in their history. He laughed and made a comment about how there are still places where people are killing each other, referencing the United States without saying it. The vibe was just weird after that - Overall, the tour through the Cenotes was amazing, just would have preferred a guide that wasn’t easily offended by a conversation that shouldn’t offend anyone.

Jacob, thank you for taking the time to write the review.
We are aware of the situation, and I'm sure it was a misunderstanding. I'm sorry that it changed the vibe of the experience. However, we are happy to know that you have enjoyed it. :)

We had the most incredible cenotes trip with Eduardo, and we cannot recommend him enough. From start to finish, he made the entire experience feel so personal, fun, safe, and unforgettable.
Eduardo was warm, knowledgeable, and so easy to be around. He shared so much about the area, the cenotes, and Mexican history and culture, which made the experience feel so much more meaningful than just a tour. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had the best day.
The cenotes themselves were absolutely stunning, but Eduardo made the trip even better. He knew exactly where to take us, helped us feel comfortable the entire time, and made everything easy and relaxed. It never felt rushed or overly touristy — it felt like such a special and authentic experience.
This ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. If you are visiting Tulum or the Riviera Maya and want to see the cenotes, book with Eduardo. You will be so glad you did.

I’ve been going to the Mexican Riviera are for over 30 years and I can’t believe I’ve never done this tour before! We had the beautiful crystal clear waters of the privately owned cenote to ourselves and the caves on the second part of the trip were otherworldly. This is a great way to beat the Mexico heat and enjoy a truly unique experience!

Juan made the entire cenote experience unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, not only leading us safely through the caves but also sharing the history, geology, and cultural significance of each cenote along the way. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion made the tour so much more meaningful.
He kept the group engaged, answered every question, and made everyone feel comfortable exploring areas we never would have discovered on our own. If you’re visiting the cenotes, I highly recommend taking a guided tour—especially if you’re lucky enough to get him as your guide. An absolute highlight of our trip to Tulum.

If you ask the locals which cenotes to visit in Tulum, Juan our guide pretty much took us to all of those it and was unforgettable! Escondido & Dos Ojos

Such a cool experience with a great guide. Worth the extra cash imo for the private tour. Juan is incredibly knowledgeable about the centotes and the cave systems. Felt safe the entire time and the fruit Juan provided was delicious!

Eduardo was a wonderful guide! He was friendly and well accommodating, and provided lots of time for us to enjoy the first cenote to ourselves. Clean vehicle and snacks included! He was very fun and even had great recommendations for the remainder of our trip. The first cenote we arrived right away and was private to enjoy without crowds. He even took photos for us while we enjoyed the swim. Sac Actun was the highlight of our vacation, and he had great information and made it so fun! Would highly recommend a private tour with Eduardo for any adventure!

If you’re considering a snorkeling cave tour, do yourself a favor and ask for Juan as your guide. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Juan is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made the entire trip feel safe, organized, and relaxed while still keeping it fun and adventurous.
What really stood out was how well he explained the history and geology of the caves. You can tell he genuinely enjoys sharing the experience and making sure everyone understands what they’re seeing. The caves themselves were absolutely stunning—crystal-clear water, incredible rock formations, and an atmosphere that’s hard to describe unless you see it yourself.
Juan also did a great job making sure everyone in the group was comfortable in the water and confident with the equipment. That level of attention makes a huge difference, especially in an environment like a cave system.
Bottom line: this was one of the highlights of our trip. If you get the chance to go, request Juan as your guide. You’ll be in excellent hands and you’ll walk away with an unforgettable experience.

This adventure will push you to the limits of your comfortability. Juan is an excellent tour guide and also an avid free diver. His knowledge about the cenote is very extensive and he is able to calmly guide you through the underground caves while explaining all the details about them. Life vest , wetsuit, and snorkeling gear was all provided. I don’t think there are many other experiences like this one in Tulum. The private route is definitely the way to go so you are able to navigate and control the amount of time that you would like to spend at each cenote. Juan speaks perfect English and a location of the tours is only a short 35 to 40 minute drive from the hotels that we stayed at in the southern portion of Tulum. If you are seeking adventure and under ground experience like no other, this is the one. We spent about 45 minutes to an hour, touring the underground caves in the water the entire time. Juan asked us at one point if we would like to see what it looks like in total darkness. We all turned off our flashlights and it was a darkness and a silence that we had never experienced. Some would not be able to handle it for as long as we did, but to each their own. Lol.

Juan was fantastic. Avoided the crowded cenotes, combining relaxation and adventure while valuing conservation.

Juan is an absolutely phenomenal guide! His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for what he does shine through every moment of the tour. He goes above and beyond to make the experience meaningful, memorable, and incredibly fun. You can tell he truly cares about the people he guides and the places he shares. If you’re considering this tour — don’t hesitate. Juan is exceptional, and I recommend him wholeheartedly!

Our family, ages 6-76 had a fabulous time exploring the cenotes, especially those underground. We were lucky enough to see grey foxes, monkeys and bats as well. Juan was an excellent, patient guide. This was a highlight of our time in Tulum!

This was one of the coolest tours we've ever been on (the whole family agreed). Cannot recommend highly enough. Definitely ask for Juan to lead your tour. The open cenote and the caves were amazing, unlike anything we've ever seen. We are a 3 generation group ranging from age 10 to age 76, everyone loved it.

We had a wonderful excursion with Juan. Xunaan-Ha was a beautiful and pristine cenote. We really enjoyed swimming there and jumping off the platforms. The highlight of the day, of course was going to Sac Actun. What a truly amazing and unique experience for us. Going through the caves with Juan was really spectacular. He was able to point out so many interesting things to look at while we were in the caves. Juan went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable on the trip and that we were doing everything safely. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in it.
Cameron_P, Nov 2025
Our guide Eduardo was amazing, and he took us to two incredibly beautiful cenotes.
One of the best experiences we’ve had.
Tami_W, Nov 2025
Amazing tour that allowed us to experience the cenote at our own pace. It feels like you are in another world while you are there. Highly recommend.
Marina_L, Oct 2025
Our guide Eduardo was excellent! Knowledgeable, kind, considerate, punctual and so much fun.
We had the best experience, we went in the early morning time frame and had both cenotes entirely to ourselves which was magical.
A water proof phone case is highly recommended if you’d like the photos, there are plenty of opportunities in the caves and at the entrances for photos, but you are in the water the majority of the hours.
Gordon_V, Oct 2025
Words do not do it justice. One of the best tours I have ever done, anywhere in the world, period. Juan was an exceptional guide. The cenotes were beautiful. The cave swim was the sort of thing that I never thought I would be able to do without a certification. Cannot recommend highly enough - this is as close to a must-do as I can imagine.
