So Much Fun Tour!!

We joined the 2:00 PM tour, which lasted around three hours and took us to Meiji Jingu, the Imperial Palace, and Zojoji Temple. The Imperial Palace was high on our list, but we knew we would miss so much of its meaning and history on our own, so we decided to book this tour. Everything was well organized and never felt rushed. Toko was incredibly knowledgeable, but it didn’t feel like a typical scripted tour—it felt more like exploring Tokyo with a friendly local. She shared stories we never would have discovered by ourselves and explained the connections between Shinto, Buddhism, and the Japanese way of thinking in a clear and engaging way. We especially enjoyed hearing about her family’s personal connection to Zojoji Temple and seeing the videos she shared. At the end, we were able to join a special Buddhist service for about 15 minutes. Instead of simply looking at each landmark, we felt like we truly experienced it. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Thank you, Toko!
