A bit of a bust

I haven’t really regretted many tours in my life but this one I think was a bit of a bust. We were first met with news that the tour we booked was not possible to complete because my Fuji closes to cars this time of year and only allows a 2.5 hour bus tour which would eat up a major part of the tour. This was apparently in the “fine print” but it would have been nice to have been told this before the tour so we could have planned accordingly. Many of the stops were just of a different vantage point of mt Fuji and didn’t really have much to offer. I found myself asking- what is this stop? And it seemed as if a lot of the answers were “another place to see mt Fuji”. Lastly- (and this is why I rated this tour even lower) was because we found out that a lot of the “facts” our tour guide told us about Japan and their culture were simply not true. He was not Japanese (which was fine) but later on in our trip we found out from 2 different Japanese tour guides that the things he told us were wrong. That really bummed me out because at the very least you would want things you are learning to be accurate. To summarize if I were to do things over again- I would probably do a half day trip- see mt Fuji, make 2 more stops and head back- I wouldn’t book this tour

Kindly allow us to clarify that in the itinerary details it was already mentioned that private cars are currently not allowed to go up to Mount Fuji. Visitors can still go by bus, but we understand you chose not to. The surrounding places you visited also have their own unique value and beauty. If the natural scenery around Mount Fuji did not meet your expectations, unfortunately that is something beyond our control, as it is part of nature.
