fun, worth the money, and make memories in SF

Edgar_I, Jun 2025
absolutely wonderful pass to have when sightseeing and touring san francisco. top attractions that is fun and memorable for all members of my family. we had 3yo to 50yo and everyone enjoyed. also saved us a lot of money. 2 attractions alone is the same cost as the city pass, and it allows you to choose 4! worth the purchase!

Excellent offer.

Gary_S, Oct 2024
Excellent offer with lots of choice and savings compared to purchasing the various activities etc individually. Would highly recommend.

Fun attractions

kim_f, Jun 2024
The cityPASS was fairly simple to use and allowed us entry into multiple attractions. We had a lot of fun exploring the city

Harbor ride

Christine_R, Mar 2024
Boat ride was fun. It was rain a little and the wind made it cooler, but we enjoyed the trip. Took lots of pictures.

Worth it

Thanh_L, Dec 2023
Some people said the pass was not worth it but in my opinion it's great. California Science Academy is worth visiting

Worth it

Kortinia_M, Oct 2023
Get this it saved me a ton of money for all the attractions, bang for your buck.......and I I had up to nine days to use it

No regerts, recommended.

Brian_L, Oct 2023
Good value! Absolutely saves you money. With the exception of the Aquarium by the Bay (which is super lame), these are all good attractions. I recommend taking the Exploratorium and Zoo as your two options to get most bang for your buck.

Horrible experience

SANDRA_R, May 2023
Don’t used the CityPASS. I was only available to use it for 1 attractions. After that the tickets were cancelled. By Citypass. Even though it states that the mobile tickets are valid for 9 days, beginning the first day use and expulires within one year of purchase. Horrible experience. I had to purchase the entrance to the attractions out of pocket.

Great value for tourists

Henry_L, Oct 2022
Was a last second impulse, originally was gonna go into town blind as a tourist but only had one day and got this last minute. 10/10 great savings, saved more like 80-90$ per pass. One thing i wish i did was go to the Academy of Sciences first since it opens the earliest. And recommend doing all the stuff around pier 39 at once to save time if you only have one day. Otherwise was a great deal for someone unfamiliar with the attractions

Start early or you won’t have enough time to see all the activities.

Julie_A, Aug 2022
So we got a late start driving from Sacramento and that kept us from using the package deal. The first stop was the zoo and it was disappointing because a lot of animals were missing. Since we were late getting there we had to run through the zoo fast with no time left for any of the other excursions. We are hoping to get down there again next weekend to finish the other activities.

Fun Saturday

regsmith63, May 2022
Boat ride around the bay. The weather was perfect, the skyline gorgeous. We went to the zoo, it was a wonderful experience.

Great Choice!

Ruben_A, Mar 2022
I’m so happy with our decision to get the City Pass! It’s easy to use and helped us choice our itinerary. Viator has so many options for tours. It’s a one stop shop! I’ll be recommending it to family and friends.

No vaccine no entry

John_F, Oct 2021
Only if you are vaccinated should you buy this because the state of California requires a vaccine to enter and remain inside place of business. Anything open or outdoors doesn't require anything so only get this if you have had the vaccine and can prove it

Underwhelming af

Anudeep_C, Aug 2021
Not as good as other sf tours . Acquarium is a joke. Zoo is far in in the outbound. Didn't even hit Walt Disney.

San Francisco is just waking up and opening up. Be patient and have fun.

Norman_E, Jun 2021
I love CityPASS for making our favorite attractions affordable. We used ours just ahead of California's restrictions being withdrawn on July 1, and folks at the various attractions asked fun questions about whether or not we had reservations, what CityPASS was, and the websites for the attractions did not have accommodations for CityPASS users when we tried to make reservations. I understand that the US is just waking up from the pandemic and we were patient and folks at attractions were also patient with us. Updating websites regarding restrictions, COVID requirements, etc. would have been helpful. Potential CityPass users: be a good guest and carry a mask. Not every city, business or restaurant is as accommodating of non mask users as the places you frequent at home. Bus schedules? Us the Maps app in your phone to find bus routes to the attractions you are getting to. Apple or Google did a good job of setting their individual apps up. When selecting the mode of travel, just select the bus icon over the car or walking icons and bingo, there is the bus route.

Good so far still have the zoo and Academy of Sciences to go to

Paige_H, Jun 2021
The boat tour was fun but the aquarium was pretty small and lacking. Aquarium just has big fish 1 frog 1 snake 2 underground tunnels that are pretty fun but just big fish and manta rays

Poor service

Karla_M, May 2021
I am very disappointed with the service. I bought 4 tickets for San Francisco and only one of the attractions had a link to make a timed reservation. We showed up at the aquarium of the bay to be turned away because they were sold out. We couldn’t find the instruction on where to take the cruise also included in the ticket and spend about an hour trying to talk to customer service to get an answer. I called and got disconnected twice and had to start all over again. At the end I never got an answer. I was told to call the tour operator and they put me on hold for over 30 minutes and never connected with anyone. I tried the chat feature and they told that they will check and let me know by email which has not yet arrived and it has been more the 12 hours . In conclusion you are better off buying your tickets directly and getting your reserved time that using the city pass.

We would have rated it a 5 if we were given more info about times and places where the buses went and locations of the bus stops.

Science Museum was good. De Young art museum was great. Legion of Honor Art Museum was killer! Don't waste your time on Aquarium of the Bay. MUNI is not straight forward. I tried to use an app called TRANSIT to navigate it but was less than successful.

The City Pass is a great Value for a trip of more than two days. You can go every where with just a little Bus schedule study time. Learn to by-pass the big crowd at the end of Powell st. , by catching the Cable Car a few blocks up just past Geary st. on a concrete platform in the middle of the street. Just hop on and show them the City Pass Booklet it's like a magic pass to all of YOUR TRANSPORTATION NEEDS.....P.S. Don't forget all the cool Things To Do included in your City Pass..... BO

Ashley B, Apr 2017
A great way to see a number of sights, and ours included a seven-day pass on the muni bus/streetcar system which was invaluable in getting around. If you enjoy museums, and/or interactive science, this is a must.

Nancy P, Jan 2017
From easy use of the transportation system to enjoying the many museum and special views of the area the Harbor Boat Ride, the City Pass provided access to some of SF most popular and unique sites. Good value if you are planning on really exploring the area!

MariaTeresa_M, Jan 2017
Just for the Muni pass it pays for it self. Acuarium of the Bay is not that interesting. It's small. Exploratorium is fun. California Academy it's great! Blue and Gold cruise it's great too, just a bit bumpy and the turn around of the boat behind Golden Gate Bridge, was pretty scary! We felt it would turn over!

Marta S, Nov 2016
I highly recommend the city pass. We took advantage of the bay cruise, visiting the aquarium and rode lots of buses and cable cars. And all at our convenience. It was awesome. We did use some of the other coupons in the book and all in all well worth the money,

Vaheteiole, Nov 2016
Useful for getting about city, also comes with free access to some attractions.

Calum B, Nov 2016
Handy to have especially for public transport. The museums on the pass are good and worth visiting. Allows quick access to all museums and handy if there for the full 7 days the pass is valid for.

Barbara M, Oct 2016
Worth every dollar. We visited some places that werent on our itinerary but the passes were in with the CityPass. I would highly recommend the Science Museum which has a tropical rain forest and underwater tubes and aquariums that have to be seen to be believed. The Exploritorium was interesting but would be better if you have a couple of kids with you to explain everything to. It also saved us a fortune on transport as the cost is 2.25 dollars whether you are going one stop or several stops. Highly recommend, saves a lot of money in the long run.

Wouter O, Oct 2016
Awesome! Brings you to all the nice attractions. Best thing is that public transport is included. Must-have if you go to San Fransisco for a weekend. Tip: if you want to go to Alcatraz, book your trip upfront, because you can't buy tickets for the same day.
