Our Private South Coast Tour with Joseph was a highlight of our trip!! He took us to all the beautiful locations in the South Coast, and was so flexible at each spot. We never felt rushed. He wanted us to enjoy our day, which we certainly did!! He knows so much about Iceland and it was really fun to learn from him. Plus, he was interested in learning about us and, by the end of the day, we had formed a friendship with him. In fact, at the end of our trip, we were flying home from Akureyri via Reykjavik and had a few hours to spare in Reykjavik, so we reached out to Joseph and he helped us with our luggage and transportation. I highly recommend reaching out to Joseph if you are visiting Iceland!!!
Great trip with a great guide, Joseph Ajayi. His education really helped highlight the tour. We saw two beautiful waterfalls, a black beach, a beautiful small church and the European/North America tectonic plate where you can straddle the line. Pretty good tour for older people since all activities were easy to do.

Our guide was very accommodating and able to change the itinerary based on our needs and interests. Also, you can get very wet at the first waterfall. Bring extra socks and shoes.
Amazing trip to the South Coast. Amazing tour guide, DJ. We asked a ton of questions. He was funny, entertaining and a very good driver for a private, low key, tour. We really enjoyed being on our own schedule and it was definitely worth the money.

This wasn't a tour. It was a driver. Now, that's not a bad thing but our "tour guide" provided very little almost no information in our driving excursion along the southern coast. It was unfortunate that any tidbits shared, had to be fact checked because he was wrong. We ended up looking up our own facts about the drive and the landscapes around us. Our "tour guide" had a degree in tourism, could have fooled me. There was no introduction, no discussion about the itinerary and very little conversation in general considering we all would be together for 8 hours. We booked a private tour for the intimacy, ability to ask more probing questions and have less of a wait for other people on a big bus tour. We only got the last piece. Don't get me wrong, having a private tour was easier but don't call it a tour, call it a driver.
The South Coast is a Must Do in Iceland. It is very beautiful and worth while. Our driver/guide was super nice and went at our pace. So much so that he stayed overtime so we could do the full itinerary planned and didn’t rush us. Vishnu was great at explaining things and taking great pictures of us at the sites. The car is small so don’t expect luxury but the service is above and beyond. I would definitely recommend.
Speedy, our tour guide, is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also kind, flexible and an excellent driver. We highly recommend this tour for adults and teens. We visited the most amazing sights, yet had the flexibility to make changes as needed. Speedy connected with adults and teens and was able to please everyone. It was awesome to beat the crowds and always be a step ahead of everyone else.
Driver was 90 min late and car was unkempt and dirty. Though the tour said that it covered admission to sites, we were dropped off outside of the gates and asked by the driver to walk in to the destination. Driver was then pulled over by police for speeding on the return to our hotel, causing us to be 30 min late for our dinner reservation. Definitely not worth the USD$1100 we paid for this private tour and not in line with high expectations or ratings for this excursion.

1: The reason why the driver was late
The tour actually starts from Reykjavik but you booked it with Selfoss pickup location, as it was last minute booking so we decided to go ahead with it and not waste your day.
2. You got late for dinner reservation
After completing the tour, the driver was curious to take you back on time for dinner reservation but due to over speeding, you got 30 minutes more late and it costed us huge fine as well.
3. $1100 is price for a group of 5 to 8 persons.
