We had an awesome experience. Emilie was so sweet and the food we had was so delicious. Without the tour we never would have known the interesting background behind the dishes we had or the drinks. Emilie was very knowledgeable about everything. She had wonderful stories to share about the culture and how certain foods became a popular staple.

Overall, the tour was positive—it included several Czech staples that cannot be found elsewhere, and it was led by a personable and knowledgeable guide. Our party differed as to the quality of the restaurants visited (I liked the quality; my partner was not impressed), and the order of the stops didn’t make much sense—the stop with the main entrees occurred after stops featuring (or offering) dessert selections. Perhaps most problematic was that the final stop was far from the starting point, and the tour ended abruptly at that point, even though the tour documentation indicated that we’d be taken back to the starting point. While we appreciated experiencing the Prague Metro and a community we otherwise would not have visited, and while the tour guide assisted with the process of purchasing Metro passes for the return trip, we felt a bit abandoned.

Good variety of Czeck food. Enjoyed that we were able to use the subway. Was able to experience food in the non tourist areas. We were a small group of 7 and enjoyed the company from other parts of the world.

Franz was an excellent food guide in Prague. He had great stories about each of the venues, the neighborhoods, and things to do in Prague. My tour included my 23 year old son and 19 year old daughter and Franz made great conversation with all of us. I would go back with Franz if my travels take me to Prague in the future and I highly recommend Franz as your next guide too!

We were in Prague for three days before we took this tour and thought we had tried out most of the Czech traditionals. We were wrong. Our guide Jo met us and asked what we had tried so far. She brought us to some great local eateries for samples and it was easy to see these establishments were frequented by locals, not tourists. The last stop involved an underground train ride in the U-Bahn. The ticket cost was included and Jo took care of purchasing them. We dined in a local restaurant and drank beer poured by a TapMeister (take the beer tour to learn about this). Jo was kind enough to walk us by the Communist Tower with babies before assisting us back home on the U-Bahn. Don’t miss this one, start hungry.

Great way to start the day

Our guide, Jan, was great! We had two couples in our group and all got along splendidly. We went to authentic spots that we would not have know to go to otherwise and learned about the local food customs and other cultural aspects of the people. Great way to start the day and we were definitely stuffed for the remainder of the day.

The tasting followed no logical order: first there was a sweet, then an appetizer, then another sweet and finally the main course. The first two places where we ate weren't particularly nice and the choice thereof seemed a bit random. Our guide, Zina, was pleasant but she did not share much information with us nor engage too much with us. Overall, rather disappointing.

Your review is truly valuable and I will make sure to give an indication of the variety of foods in the tour in advance to our new customers. Additionally, the aim of the tour is to explore hidden gems of Prague, which (despite their delicious food), sometimes are not as fancy. We also add fancy places such as the last two stops off the tour. In some places, we also offer the option between sweet or savory items to add a personal touch to our customers, as we do in the first stop.
