Plenty of beer to drink (7 pours of 0.2L each) with good explanations of each, our host, Paul, was rude to me and other guests. He put down one woman’s marathon experience, while he was blowing his nose, I asked that woman a question about her marathon and he didn’t like us talking to each other. Then he asked where he was in his speech, we told him, and he said, “well, do you want to continue on with leading this talk?” Like we were acting like know it alls. He asked where he was and we just answered. And he made lots of unfunny jokes and had no real answer for what brought him to Prague from New York. Would recommend this experience but hope for a different leader.

The directions were very difficult to follow on Google maps as there was no information about landmarks nearby. If you said Ticket Office, we would have known to go there. Or we could have met at the bar itself.
The beers were good, but we had 3 really tiny squares of cheese on cocktail sticks each and about 3 crackers half way through the beers. This was very disappointing and not what I was expecting.
The guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable, but I think his humour left some people a bit confused and didn't come across as intended. We felt like he was making jokes at people's expense at times.
It also seemed rushed, as he spoke super fast and we had to drink beer after beer with no break between to appreciate the flavour, making it a bit stressful. When asked why all the beer was at room temperature by some Germans he seemed quite defensive and said it was storage issues.
All in all it was a bit disappointing and not really as enjoyable as we had expected.

This was such a great time - even being solo I enjoyed the experience. Learned about the locals beers and got to try a good variety. A few of the groups would get a little talkative or rowdy but the host did a great job keeping things under control while still fun for everyone. Even went out after with some people I met at the tasting to a bar after! Definitely recommend.

We did this as part of a stag do. Phillip was our host and really knew his stuff! 7 different beers were sampled in 0.2l glasses which was the perfect amount. Anymore would've left us feeling bloated. Phillip gave us a great insight into the history of each beer brand and how each one is made. He also had a the right mix of knowledge and humour.
Would highly recommend!

We lucked out and were the only two on the tour. Our guide had a lot of knowledge about Czech beer and its history. He also showed us the best way to taste all of the beer. Czech beer is great.

We had just landed in Prague, dropped our bags in our hotel and literally ran to make it to this beer tasting experience. Once we found the place where it was starting from, I registered right there and then with 3 minutes to spare. After that initial rush, everything went smoothly. It was interesting, beer was good and I feel it was a nice start to our stay in Prague.

Our guide, Thomas, ensured that we had a great beer tasting. He shared lots of information about beer from the history to how to taste it in a way that was easy to understand and fun. Now this is something exactly what it should be. A tasting which does not take itself too seriously while still giving useful information and causing fun moments, while tasting great beer. Our host Steve was really friendly and funny, entertaining all the time. As we are Hungarians we knew most of the beers which is a shame, but i guess it can not be avoided as we live so close. We tried the restaurant afterwards and that was great as well. It was also very well organized, everything went like clockwork. My girlfriend called this the highlight of the whole vacation! I would definitely do it again.

Don't hesitate to book this if you like beer. Fun, informative, well worth the price we paid. Host Steve did a great job. We got to taste 7 different Czech beers and were served cheese and crackers.

Overall experience was just ok. Beers are commercial Czech beers. Not draft or artisan. They sell the tour with appetizers but they just serve a small cheese plate with some crackers. Our “beer master” Darren wasn’t Czech. He was American and basically he told us he knew only theory about beer. He’s somewhat weird and made derogatory comments about where we are from. We won’t do a beer tasting again.

Our group had such a wonderful time learning and drinking with Steve! He put such a fun, knowledgeable, and hilarious spin on everything and even the one person in our group that wasn’t a beer drinker was able to enjoy the tasting. Would recommend to anyone coming to Prague for a visit or to anyone in the city that hasn’t enjoyed Steve’s company yet. I’m hoping we’ve been forgiven for being a few minute late 🍻😁

This was the 1 out of 9 Viator planned tours that we were very excited about! Pilsner beer and Cheese in Prague—— so looking forward to it!! But IT DUD NOT HAPPEN!!! The directions to the joining spot were very unclear: “ in the alleyway by this ....museum”. We looked up the museum, asked locals about the directions, looked on our GPS and we walked for an hour looking for the spot to no success. Our joining spot needed to be more local and more clear. We even tried calling the phone number and did not get a response. An expensive no show for us. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
