- In the main season The Golden Lane is an optional stop (as it often gets overcrowded). If Castle is too crowded guide can skip the visit of the Golden Lane and continue according to the itinerary. Castle ticket is valid for 2 days so travelers can visit the lane by themselves the following day
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 25 travelers

The guide was excellent and you actually get to go inside all the historic places. It is a lot of walking but so worth the experience.

This was a long tour and with the heat a bit daunting. Definitely bring water. Also, we ended up having to buy tram tickets which was not stated anywhere in the description. They were cheap, but still should be noted somewhere. Pretty sure it was because of the heat. Our guide was very informative and thorough. Wear comfortable shoes as you are waking on cobblestones the entire time.

Honza was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and had a great sense of humour, making the tour both informative and fun. I loved hearing all the fascinating facts and stories about Prague, especially the little details I would never have discovered on my own. Honza also shared brilliant practical tips and recommendations that helped me make the most of the rest of my stay. He was friendly, approachable, and clearly passionate about his city. Dear traveler, you signed up to a walking tour that should cover the history of Prague Castle, Lesser Town and Charles Bridge. History is a part of the tour - that is what it's about. Talking about information overload - I can confirm that your group from the start of the tour had shown very little interest in the activity and at one occasion you let the whole group wait for you several minutes just because two of you went to buy some souvenirs. Nothing wrong against buying souvenirs, but delaying tour because of that is not fair to other travelers who participate on the activity. Next time I would suggest either purchasing a private tour or reading the tour description well before signing up.

It’s a very nice tour, you get too see so much and learn so much about the church and the other buildings. Our guide Leo was funny and he had so many great stories about the kings etc.

Great introduction to Prague, lots of useful information (best arranged on the first few days upon arrival). Our guide Honza (Jack) did an amazing job welcoming us to the city and made sure that everyone in the tour felt included. ps. I didn’t have cash on me to tip, and it has been haunting me……that’s how good Honza was! Highly recommend :)

Dear traveler, we have done a very thorough investigation of the tour and you may have misinterpreted why some people left the tour earlier. Some overestimated their ability to go around in 35C weather with double-stroller, some had early dinner reservations, some had troubles hearing so they left and finished the rest of the castle on their own. Quite surprisingly we have some good reviews from that tour as well so it seems like it breaks down to personal opinion.

This experience would have been better if the microphone was working properly. Our guide had some difficulties with the microphone and many people in our group asked for her to speak closer to the mic - later on we discovered her mic had issues - after switching to a new one, the volume and clarify was much better. Overall the tour was pretty good considering how much you get to see in 3 hours.

It was a hot day and a little longer tour than we expected but overall very informative. Would’ve liked to hear more about local peoples lives currently as well.
Liked that we used public transport for some of it.

If you are interested in knowing more about peoples lives you should've asked your guide :) guide can always share some information either during his explanations (if it relates to history he/she is talking about) or during the walk throughout the tour. Usually, in between stops, guides try to chat with people who are closest to them so next time stay close to your guide and ask as many questions a possible as we go :)

The tour guide and meeting location was easy to find. We learned tons of history and saw inside the castle, cathedral and other buildings (not just the outside of the buildings). It was a brisk walk and a good speed for our group (adults and kids). Our guide included many interesting stories as well as recommendations for places to eat and tips for getting around Prague.

The tour guide was interesting and informative. The only thing was that the tickets only let you into each place in the castle once. Since we were in a group we moved quickly. I wish I could have went back to some of the locations and spend more time, but I couldn't because of the ticket restrictions. However, Mike was an amazing tour guide and I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Thank you for your great review Laura! We're happy you enjoyed your tour! You are correct with the tickets - it is a single entrance only so once you used up all the entrances (which we do during our tour) ticket is no longer valid. If you want to get back to some of the sights, you have to purchase a new castle ticket, however, we have a secret tip. Golden Lane opens after 5pm for free so that is the only place where you can go later even without having a ticket. Shops close between 5-6pm but the lane itself is opened till the Castle closure (10pm).

Not my cup of tea. This tour may be specifically designed for history lovers but if you to explore exhibitions and see the shops of the castle. Please DO NOT go with this tour, you will passby every single one of them and you will have NO free time to see things that you may have interest. What’s more, it is a 3 hours NON-stop walking tour, no rest, no break, until very last moment.

thank you for this review. You signed up to a walking tour so yes, it includes walking :) if you read the description carefully we do not mention any extra time for shopping. As they say - time is money - and we want to give people as much as possible for the money they paid. Giving a "shopping break" would be disrespectful to traveler's time. Travelers hire us to show them around, explain local history and share some local insights, not bringing them up the castle and give them a shopping break (while guide would just sit there for 15 minutes doing nothing). If you are interested in shopping you can always visit Castle later. So to your point - I agree with the statement that people who are interested in shopping breaks should not go on this tour. We will always try to fill up our limited time on this tour with as much history and local insights as possible.

Informative and fun walking tour of Prague Castle including Cathedral Charles IV Bridge and other sites.
This includes a tram ride to the Castle which is 39 kr only.
Otherwise there is much walking. Our guide was very informative and answered all questions.

Cool experience. It was nice going through the castle on a tour and getting some history with a guide. The bulk of the tour was in the castle, so don't expect much neighborhood insight. I would have loved a little more time after to go through some of the housings on your way out of the castle. Wouldn't do again but definitely recommend if you haven't.
