- In the main season The Golden Lane is an optional stop (as it often gets overcrowded). If Castle is too crowded guide can skip the visit of the Golden Lane and continue according to the itinerary. Castle ticket is valid for 2 days so travelers can visit the lane by themselves the following day

We were first time travelers to Prague and wanted to join a tour to learn more about Prague and see as much as we could. Petra was an amazing guide and very engaging and knowledgeable to show us around the highlights of Prague and especially the castle. We actually missed this experience due to our own fault. I communicated to the provider early that morning that we had train issues and wouldn’t be able to make the 2pm experience, and asked if they would honor the tickets the next day. To their credit Mike said they would, but the issue was I didn’t hear back until later that evening so had already made alternative plans. When I questioned why it took so long to get a response (no one even reached out when we weren’t at the experience), and I only got a response after I sent another message, the tone was incredibly poor. I wouldn’t recommend.

clearly it was not enough to write you that we are all guiding throughout the day and things that are not urgent are resolved in the evening. If you have a situation and need an urgent response, you should call or message through text message or WhatsApp (as we explained in our response). Sending a message through Viator app is not the fastest way of communication.
Even though you sent us around 7pm very aggravated message we still gave you a chance to join the next day. So speaking of "poor tone" - please read your own messages first. We're always happy to help people who reach out to us, however, there are polite ways and rude ways of communication. Which one gets you further is pretty clear I think :)

Great way to start your trip to Prague. Karel was an excellent and friendly guide. Both the castle and St. Vitus’ Cathedral were very cool, especially the window where the defenestration went down. Special love for the use of public transport so that all the walking was downhill (and helpful if you want to use it later in your stay). After the tour, walk the Charles Bridge right back into old town for dinner.

Karel was an outstanding tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history and culture of the city. He explained everything in a way that was both informative and entertaining, making the tour enjoyable from start to finish.
He was also friendly, patient, and happy to answer all of our questions. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that enthusiasm made the experience even more memorable. We learned so much while also having a great time.
I highly recommend Karel to anyone visiting the city. If you’re looking for a guide who is professional, personable, and truly brings history to life, Karel is an excellent choice!

Our guide, Petra was absolutely fantastic! She not only had great energy but shared so much additional information about Czech and the architecture, the surrounding countries etc. We learnt so much. I had two of my sons and husband and she was able to relate to all of us in the group. She was so knowledgeable about so many different topics that the group asked her. Highly recommend the best tour guide I have experienced!

Anna was lovely. Technical difficulties as we found it difficult to hear using the devices. We brought this to her attention, as did others. She tried to remedy and it did get a little better. But overall with so much walking and travel it was difficult to hear and follow along.

Great tour, Anna was our guide! Very informative about history and architecture of Prague. Our headsets were a bit of a problem for some in the group but our guide tried her best to accommodate. Overall wonderful tour.

It is a very fast pace. My husband and I are in 70's and always last. It was very hot and crowded would have liked early am better. Guide was knowledgeable. I booked in January for 4 but not on his list even tho I got current emails. 3 of us came, 4th not well that day. So we were lucky he brought extra radios

Dear traveler,
when booking a group tour you have to keep in mind that guide has to set up a pace that fits most. For elderly who know they have troubles keeping a steady pace we would always recommend a private tour. During private tour guide can tailor the pace to your needs. On a group tour he cannot do that.
When it comes to you "not being on the list" as we tried to explain on the spot, it was all caused by software problem when Viator was not synchronizing bookings in our reservation system done before Jan 16th. Due to that, as you made changes to your reservation few months later, we did not get notification. However we were able to accommodate you even though you were not on the list.

This was a great tour. Our guide Anna was amazing. Her English was excellent. She tried really hard to show us as much as possible, but give us the history at the same time. We had some technical issues with our headsets and she overcame that on the fly. I would highly recommend a tour with Ana.

Quite a bit to of walking. The equipment wasn’t working, so it was very hard to hear our guide at times.
Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable and upbeat and did a great job teaching us about the castle, basilica and Charles Bridge.

This tour covers so much. The major tourist attractions are close by each other and this covers them all. The tour would be great if you only have a small amount of time in Prague. The tour guide was very knowledgable and assisted everyone with where to fill up water bottles and how to purchase the tram tickets. We did find that 3 hours was a lot of time to focus on the information provided especially in the heat but it certainly gave us value for money.

Michal was a great guide, really good englishspeaker, kept the group together through busy streets and the tramride. Lots of stops where he informed us of practical and historical things in a pleasent and humoristic way. Be sure to put on comfortable shoes as alot of walking is involved. The tour is - I would say - mostly for adults. I had my three kids (15, 15 and 12) with me and they couldn't really appreciate the bulk of the information given, they did - however - like the scenery. Beautiful surroundings throughout the tour.

We had an excellent Prague Castle Complex walking tour with Leo! He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating history and context about Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the surrounding area. His passion for the city really came through and made the experience both engaging and informative.
What impressed us most was how quickly the tour seemed to fly by. Leo kept the group interested the entire time with great stories, historical insights, and a perfect pace. We learned so much while enjoying some of the most beautiful sights in Prague.
If you’re looking for a guide who is friendly, professional, and truly knows his subject matter, I highly recommend Leo. This was one of the highlights of our time in Prague!

Nice that it included entrance tickets to the major sites but it all felt very rushed and not very in depth and a lot of time spent counting heads. If you have not done group tours before, others appreciate when you come prepared even though the guide was very patient in the purchasing transit tickets and water.
