Our guide, Pavel, was very personable, interesting and knowledgeable. He spoke excellent English and made great choices for restaurants. We sampled delicious Czech foods in beautiful and unique settings. We especially liked the House of the Black Madonna restaurant, the only building in Prague with Cubist architecture where we enjoyed the most delicious cakes! It was especially interesting to hear his insights on growing up in Prague during the Communist era. A wonderful food tour with an excellent guide!

The food tour started with 4 appetizers in one restaurant. The pickled herring and the pork rind spread were delicious. We moved to another restaurant for lunch. It was a traditional Czech lunch. We started with the beef broth and cabbage soup. The cabbage soup was excellent. (We never found the same cabbage soup during the rest of our stay.) The goulash, roast chicken and other mains were not bad. We then moved to a local pastry shop for dessert and coffee. The different pastries were delicious! Creamy, tasty and not very sweet. Unfortunately, the names escape me at the moment. Of course in addition to the food, our guide, pointed our significant structures along the way such as the city hall, Kafka head and the modern St. Wenceslas sculpture.

We thoroughly enjoyed this private Prague food tour with guide Dasha. During our time she took us to several eateries where the locals go and taught us about popular local cuisine, sweets, beer and liquor. This tour was in the new town section of Prague which was actually perfect since so much of our trip was focused on activities in the old town section. To be clear, the new town is not at all new - it's just not as old as old town. So, it was great to learn our way around a different part of the city while also learning about the local food scene. The private tour allowed us to ask lots of questions and have conversations about what we were learning/eating/seeing. Dasha was great about customizing the experience to our preferences while being extraordinarily personable and knowledgeable. Don't hesitate to book this tour!

What a great tour. Our tour guide Dasha was fabulous, informative and fun. The tour consisted of 3 courses at 3 different restaurants with drink pairings at each stop highlighting the local cuisine . The first restaurant the two of us each had a different soup, both were delicious and hearty Next stop was the main meal, again we both picked a different entree with a local beverage. Again, food was wonderful, I had the beef with cranberries, my husband had the goulash…next stop was the dessert…..oh my goodness…..we had a few different desserts but our favorite was the warm vanilla custard over a bread pastry….. i would highly recommend this tour, and ask for Dasha as you guide you wont be disappointed. Well worth the price and time.

Enjoying Prague at the food level. Only disappointment was understanding that we would commute to all locations by car after long day of touring but had to walk to all locations. But our guide went above and beyond to make us happy. Paola was fabulous!!!!

There weren’t many memorable experiences throughout this tour. Our guide was half asleep, didn’t speak, didn’t explain a single thing, and was un-energetic. In addition, the tour was expected to be four hours, it finished after 3 hours, quite honestly we wanted to get walk off the tour after an hour. The tour was a disappointment, not what we were expecting, and a waste of money.

This tour was a great introduction to city of Prague and to Czech culture. It featured very filling and tasty food from local, non-touristy places we would never have discovered on our own. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history and took us to several interesting sights along the way. He also helped us lay out plans for the remainder of our time in the city. We would highly recommend doing this tour on your first day or night in Prague.

There is going to be a lot of food so come with an appetite! Our guide was amazing and answered so many questions. It felt like we had an authentic experience which our group of 6 enjoyed. Definitely one of the highlights of our vacation for a bunch of foodies

Tomasz was a wonderful and knowledgable guide for our foodtour in Prague! We went to different places for appetizers, main course and deserts. A lot of food, so better be prepared to not eating during the day and wait for the tour (even when the tour is in the evening like ours) ;)!

Pavel was excellent in giving us the history of the areas as we strolled to the restaurants. This was enjoyed by all 4 of us in our group. It was one of the best food tours we’ve been on because of Pavel. The food was amazing as we were able to try so many different Czech foods from apps, main courses to dessert. I would highly recommend this tour if you’re coming to Prague.

Our most memorable experience was the sampling of various meats cooked Czech style. The meats included beef, pork, duck and rabbit. We also had the opportunity to try several kinds of local beers The tour ended with tasting a variety of desserts. Dacha was very knowledgeable about the food as well as the history of the Czech Republic.

Tomas met us at our hotel promptly at 7. We then walked about 20 minutes thru the heart of Prague to our first stop, for drinks and appetizers. Since it was Friday night, the pub was very busy. Tomas reviewed the menu with us to get our input. In the end we ordered 5 or 6 different appetizers and enjoyed the local beer. Then on to dinner. Again we reviewed the menu together and picked 4 different entrees for the 4 of us to share with our choice of beverages. On to dessert, another short walk to Cafe Louvre. This classic grand cafe was quite impressive. We all chose our dessert and beverage finishing the night off with a shot of the local aperitif. A leisurely walk back to the hotel was welcomed. Tomas was an excellent guide and representative for his city and country. His knowledge was most impressive, he is very friendly and personable and was very patient with all of our questions. This was by far one of the very best food tours we have ever been on and highly recommend Thomas and Lucy tours.

Our tour guide was very nice and give a a good tour from our hotel to the restaurant. nice clean car . However, the dinner experience was not good. The guide used his hands to pull apart the duck dinner and then threw it on our plates.

My husband and I decided to take a river boat cruise on the Danube. Because my brother has traveled to Prague and has raved about its beauty, we decided to come to Prague for a couple of days before the cruise. We had planned a private food with Lucy Tours, and our guide, Patrick, met us at our hotel. He took us to three different restaurants - one for appetizers, one for dinner and one for desserts. We experienced delicious foods native to the area and were enlightened to learn about the history of the native foods as well as the many historic sights we passed as we walked from place to place.
Subsequent to this tour, we were informed that our tour of the city that we had planned for the following day had been canceled. Patrick generously offered to give us a private driving tour which we were so grateful for. We felt so blessed to have this guide take us through Prague. Once again, he met us at our hotel at the agreed upon time.
Patrick guided us through all of the historic parts of Prague, stopping at points of interest to give us a close up. We saw so many things that I cannot even begin to describe them. This is a city that is more beautiful and amazing than you can imagine. And having Patrick to lead us through was beyond anything we could have dreamed of or imagined. He has a volume of historical information and knows exactly where to go and where to park to eliminate any extra walking and to get us to where we could view and enjoy this amazing city.
If you are reading this review, I hope you will consider this incredible guide, Patrick, for any tours of Prague. It would be your extreme good fortune and would leave you feeling like you really got to see and enjoy the amazing city of Prague.

Very fulfilling, full size portions. Appetizers and Drinks, Main Meal and Drinks, Dessert and Drinks and Sweet Treat before departing. Good to so on the first night or second night. Good intro to the staples/foods of Prague. Would have enjoyed a bit more variety on the main meal.

Patrick is an excellent guide. We learned a lot on this tour about Czech food, but at least as importantly we also learned a lot about Czech history and culture. The tour provides plenty of time to talk to the guide at each of the stops, and Patrick is very knowledgeable and intelligent and has a great sense of humor too! The tour was structured similar to a progressive dinner where we went to three different restaurants for three different courses. At each stop there were multiple food and drink options provided, and all the stops were very traditional check places that were off of the typical Prague tourist trail. Well worth it!
