We took this 2 hour Douro River cruise to get a little river cruise time in during a short stay trip to Porto. Francisco & Kennedy were a fabulous team. We had delicious wine, Rose and Port, while cruising the river. Francisco is native to Porto and provided great information and explanation of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. It was a wonderful experience.

Our river tour was amazing, we traveled up and down the river , we had wine and a snack . The views were beautiful, a must do!! Our guide shared a lot of history of Porto

Weather did not cooperate but our captain and staff over the top! Fantastic experience and they recommended a fabulous dinner place in walking distance from Marina Casa do pescador which was amazing!!!

What a wonderful experience. Karina and Claudio were fabulous - they pampered us with drinks, blankets, chat and facts about Porto.
We were very lucky as we had the boat to ourselves so it was very special.
The weather was unbelievably good for November which added to the experience.

The sail boat was lovely, the captain/guide was very knowledgeable and had tons of great local recommendations. We were able to sail out to the open ocean at the end of the trip, and it was so peaceful and beautiful!
Blankets, a snack, and a local welcome drink, as well as a taste of port wine were included.

After arriving late the night before, my husband and I had arranged a river sail boat cruise out of Gaia to recover from the jet lag whilst still learning about Porto and Gaia. It was amazing! We were fortunate that the weather cooperated so it was a beautiful, sunny day with brilliant blue skies. We couldn’t have received better treatment. Porto and Gaia landmarks and history were discussed while sampling a port & tonic beverage and finishing with a glass of sweet port wine. All our questions were answered and we greatly appreciated the restaurant recommendations we received. Our river hosts were friendly and humorous. They took our photos to immortalize our beautiful day on the Douro river. This was definitely time we’ll spent and we thank you for starting our vacation out in such a beautiful and relaxing way.

A calm and quiet way to see the hustle and bustle of waterside Porto and Gaia - yachts cannot pass under the bridges but the guides take you out of the harbour to look back at the city from the ocean. The white port and tonic cocktail on board was also fantastic! A great family owned business with passion and consideration - a nice company to support and not at all “touristy”.

We had the best time on our sailboat cruise! It was scheduled for a sunset time, but it was was raining and the captain called and we were able to reschedule it to the next day. They had a welcome drink which was a traditional Porto drink which we all loved! They also recommended a fantastic dinner place - which turned out to be our best meal in Porto! Thank you!!

Our Captain, Ricardo, was fantastic! He was very informative about Porto & Gaia. The trip on the Douro River was beautiful & relaxing. We went out at 9:00am and the river was calm. Ricardo happily answered lots of our questions including those about living life in the area. Ricardo also introduced us to port tonics, which we now love. My husband & I highly recommend this sail boat cruise!

The tour was lovely. Our guide provided tons of historical information about Porto and Gaia as well as tips for seeing things in the city. We also got to see a rare treat of some dolphins by the sea wall. Very nice way to spend a few hours with a new perspective of Porto.

Book this tour now! This was the absolute perfect way to end our honeymoon and definitely one of the highlights of our three week trip. Ricardo and Andrei were fantastic. They were true professionals and made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed ourselves. They even recommended a fantastic restaurant for our last night in Portugal.
Porto is such a scenic city and seeing it by boat was truly breathtaking. After cruising the river enjoying drinks and having Ricardo take some of our favorite photos of us from the entire trip, we went out on the ocean, dropped the sail, and, almost literally, sailed off into the sunset. Weather was perfect and sunset gave us perfect lighting.
We had an absolute blast and would absolutely book this excursion again upon returning to Porto. The private sunset sail was truly outstanding!

I booked this experience only 3 hours before the start time and the crew was incredible. I enjoyed getting to know both gentlemen and appreciated their knowledge of the area. They were incredible friendly and helpful, and my mother and I couldn't have had a better experience. It was also nice that they had us get on the boat in the back instead of climbing over the side, which was much easier for my mom with limited mobility. The communication regarding where to meet was very thorough. Overall, a wonderful experience that I would do again in a heartbeat.

I booked this sail boat experience for my friends 50th birthday celebrations as she sailed as a child with her family. The communication was good, however for me I was disappointed that the captain did not use the sails, it was motor all the way, even though the wind was enough. The whole purpose of booking a sail boat is to have that experience. When asked I discovered the captain although extremely nice, had only been doing the boat tours for a year, and the owner Ricardo was having time with his family. The captain did not feel confident to use the sails. We were not told this, and maybe would have booked a different tour. You only actually get to see 2 bridges in the 2 hours, and although we went out to sea a small way, i would have preferred to stay in the estuary as more to view, and go a little further, maybe there is restrictions on were the boats can go. The whole experience was favourable, the captain was very passionate and knowledgeable about Porto and we did have good time.

Our family of five (adults) thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Douro river. Ricardo kindly prepared for us a snack plate of delicious cheeses and meats and served us some refreshing wine as we admired the views from the river and learned about Porto and Portuguese culture. Ricardo and Paulo were wonderful guides and hosts. Make sure you ask them about their favorite soccer teams.

Our last night in Porto and we are so grateful it was with Ricardo and Nico - on the amazing relaxing boat, with fabulous drinks, vino, a gorgeous charcuterie with the local cheeses and fruits and the best sunset we could have asked for.
Ricardo and Nico made us feel welcome, comfortable, safe and most of all the conversation and company were the most enjoyable.
I would give them 10 stars if I could. You will not have as much of a memory on the other boats with so many people- this 2 hours flies by and you will long for more.
I cannot express my gratitude to them for a fabulous night- thank you!! We wish you all the best and hope to see you again one day!!
