- Collect: Hotels in the centre of Porto. For private accommodation and other types of accommodation, the meeting point is at Largo Actor Dias, Near the Fernandine Walls in Porto
- Collection and delivery is not included in Vila Nova de Gaia and Matosinhos (hotels and other accommodation).
- Reservation is mandatory and requires an email request/confirmation. Reservations must be confirmed at least 48 hours before the service date.
- All tours depart from Porto.
- Pick-up and drop-off service is not included in the "Hotel Pickup" option.
- The services included in the tours (visits to wine estates, restaurants, etc.) are subject to the availability of third parties and other groups/participants may be with the group during the experience. Schedules may be changed without prior notice.

Look to do and see during the tour. Guide at the winery was very friendly and funny. Food was good as well. A relaxing cruise on the Douro to complete the day made it perfect. Would recommend this tour for the price.

Nelson was absolutely fantastic in all ways. He was super professional and friendly, had lots of interesting information, answered all our questions with interest and substance, was very accommodating and, as a bonus, was an excellent driver. We recommend him highly. We can’t thank him enough.
The one thing that was not great was the car but that was not his fault at all as it belongs to the provider. It was very old, not very clean, quite rickety and thus noisy inside and, not least, it spewed fumes out the back.

We are a retired couple and we enjoyed the easy pace in which we were able to see all attractions. Our guide was informative, helpful ( as another tourist had lost his backpack & our guide was able to find it for him ) so interesting

Great day out along the beautiful Douro river. Long drive to get there but well worth it. Guide was great and didn’t throw too much info at us but gave us enough to make sure we got a great feel for the place.

Nelson was our driver and he did an excellent job. He was very communicative and well prepared. The start was amazing, so was the wine tasting . Our group did not realize it was just one winery we were going to visit , that was a misunderstanding on our side as well as the other members of the group. The river tour was a bit of a touristic event. Just 1 hour up and down. Lunch was in a local restaurant. Not super special but oké . Driving back for 2 hours makes the whole tour easily lasting 8 to 9 hours. The wines were excellent and we ordered to send home. I would recommend the organization to have water on board.

The entire experience was outstanding from beginning to end. The tour guide was amazing..
You really went out of his way to make sure everything was special experience. It felt like a private tour with just eight people on the van. The Small winery went to was very authentic and much better than going to a winery. We had an opportunity to taste were wonderful. The bonus was the small turtle. We went to the beginning of the tour. Open market and location was a treat. One of the best courses I've ever taken.

Our driver Paolo was great, very knowledgeable and chatty. Beautiful views of the Duoro valley and its terraces.
Guy doing wine tasting spoke too quickly and wasn't that friendly when I asked him questions. Pretty poor that that they didn't provide any drinks for my 17 year old, whilst the adults tasted the wine, and only provided enough initial 'snacks'/palate cleansers for the adults only. Later on, the snacks/palate cleansers weren't portioned so that was OK. Wines were good though.
Lunch was great - plenty of tasty food (chicken, fish, pork, 2 types of rice, salad and chips) and wine.
Boat trip was nice but audio was inaudible and switched between languages too frequently so by the time you realised it was English, it'd already switched back to Portguese. Some of our party didn't even know there was any audio, it was that quiet.
Lucky enough to spot a large boat exiting the lock at one of the dams.

Nelson was THE BEST tour guide EVER!! Our 10 hour tour was super informative, fun and was the best part of our weeklong trip to Portugal. The Douro Valley was enchanting and the wines were sublime. Lunch was full of variety and excellent. It rained and Nelson gave me the coat off his own back. This tour is highly recommended. Bravo!!

Even though the weather was rainy, we had a great time. Hugo our tour guide was so knowledgeable and accommodating, and funny.
We couldn’t take the boat due to the winds but Hugo found another good option - we appreciated that very much. The lunch was amazing! As was the wine and olive oil experience.

The tour with Nelson our guide was excellent. Nelson made our trip so special. His knowledge of the area and how the grapes for the wine and port are grown and the history of the region was exceptional. The trip to the winery was great as we were also able to taste olive oil and honey produced there. Thank you Nelson for making this such a special day J. Badali - Colorado.

Nelson our guide was respectful, knowledgeable and attentive. He heard me say I loved Figs, so he went out of his way and bout all of us a pack to enjoy. Our boat tour of the Douro river was nice. We ended up visiting 2 wineries even though it was initially supposed to be 1. Our tour had to be rescheduled and we were given notice in advance and thankfully were able to still attend. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Porto.

This tour guide was not responsive, did not communicate with Viator about pick up location and times of tour. Was told it was impossible to have us back by the time our ship departed and refused a refund. Do not recommend this excursion

I invite you to read the general conditions of the tour purchased and you will see that the tour starts at 8 am and ends at 6 pm, and you had verified that you could never be back on your TRANSATLANTIC ship by 4 pm, as you requested unless 12h before starting your tour, and as I informed you, we could not access your request, since other people had also purchased the same tour and we have to comply with what is described in the general conditions. I remind you that it is described in Viator's general conditions that CANCELLATION LESS THAN 24 HOURS FROM THE START OF THE TOUR DOES NOT GIVE THE RIGHT TO A REFUND.
Criticizing and giving a low rating is very easy, BUT recognizing that you MADE a mistake by not reading the details of the tour you purchased, and that it cannot happen because then you would be hurting your pride as a perfectionist.

The trip was fantastic! We cruised around in a comfy van while Paulo shared some cool stories about the cities, wines, and the Douro River Valley. We had a coffee break, explored some stunning spots, snapped a bunch of photos, enjoyed an amazing lunch, and wrapped it all up with a boat ride in Régua. We had a blast and totally recommend it!
We’ve got a tip for the summer: make sure to wear comfortable clothes, sunscreen, and bring along caps or hats. Don’t forget to pack water, because it gets really hot and sunny in the Douro Valley during the summer.
