Ricardo was our guide. Happened we were the only two on this tour. Pace was excellent. Places we visited, route taken, and Information given was the perfect amount. Both of us agree we saw what we wanted to see in the three hours. Ricardo’s English and demeanor were very good. Highly recommend to take this tour in your first day in Porto. Obigada Ricardo.

We had a great time with our tour guide Ricardo! Small group tour, lots of stops and mostly downhill. I recommend taking the tour early in your visit as we learned of many places to go back to go inside later.

Very informative tour of the city of Porto. Julianna was very knowledgeable abt the town's history. She showed us the impact historical sites and told us where to go for local specialties as well. We enjoyed her company. It's like talking to an old friend. She is an amazing guide.

Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who spoke perfect English. Ricardo clearly enjoys his job and went out of his way to accommodate our needs - despite the very hot weather. This walking tour lasted over 3 hours and took us all over the heart of Porto. We stopped at many of the most important historical sights in the city. Our guide, Catarina, provided a lot of historical information about them, and also gave us info about things currently going on in Porto. At the end of the tour, she also very helpfully gave me information about additional sights to visit in and around Porto, as well as info about some of her favorite restaurants. Would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you can go with Catarina.

I confess I didn't have high expectations, but I was way wrong. The tour was absolutely terrific. Our guide, Pedro Cardoso, was knowledgeable, personable, and was able to answer my offline esoteric questions without batting an eye. I highly recommend this tour if you can get Pedro. Best Viator tour I've taken in many years.

In the itinerary it said 10mins for lellos bookstore so I understood it that we had that time to go in if we wished. Disappointing that it was only 2 mins outside as i was looking forward to seeing inside especially as in other reviews people had posted pics of the inside so I took it we could go in. A bit of a let down that was for me. The rest of the tour was ok. 3 hrs passed by quickly and Ricardo is a young matter-of-fact kind of person. In his line of work he can’t be judgemental on religion as he never knows who finds it more important than his own views on the subject are. Nevertheless he made the tour interesting and gives you a feel of how walkable Porto is.

Fresh off the red eye, and not able to get access to our rooms until later in the day, we decided to join a tour of Porto with Ricardo as a way of gaining our bearings and riding out the jet lag. This turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. Ricardo was friendly, funny, extremely knowledgeable, and very candid. He toured us around the highlights of the city, and gave us great information as what he felt might be the best bets to visit on our own. We liked how he would frequently take us to lookout points to recap the places we had just visited, as it really helped us understand the layout of the city moving forward. He showed us great works of art and architecture, but also small details that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. He gave us some local restaurant recommendations upon request, but he was not the least bit salesy, which we are more used to in North America. Ricardo’s passion for Porto was very compelling, and he was the first of many, many lovely Portuguese people that we had the pleasure of spending time with on our journey. Thank you, Ricardo!
