What are people saying about Porto

Take the Tuk Tuk!
We had a lovely tour with Chica as our guide. This was our first expreience with a Tuk Tuk, and it won't be our last. We usually use the Hop On Hop Off bus, but not anymore! Chica stopped at several points of interest so we could get pictures and ask all the questions we wanted. You don't get that with the H-O-H-O bus. If you get off that bus you are now on your own for at least half an hour before the next bus comes by. Having the luxury of stopping and starting as many times as we wanted was something special.

Sunset cruise down the Duoro River, without a sunset.
We had a delightful evening! There were 10 of us, all from America, so visiting was easy. There was a heavy fog roll in from the west just before we started this tour. Which killed the sunset. But the crew did a great job of giving us some history of Porto and Gaia as we went along.

Ann & Chris - Spain
Firstly we have to mention our tour guides, Cuber and Nuno. They were both very knowledgeable and proud of Porto and the areas we visited. They made everyone feel welcome and answered any questions that were asked of them.
We first visited Costa Nova where the colourful beach houses are, it was lovely strolling along taking in the scenery. Then we headed to Aveiro to take a trip in a Moliceiro boat along the river. The lady tour guide was very friendly and took time out to take personal pictures of all the people on the boat on their phones. She enlightened us on many facts throughout the ride which was very pleasant and well worth a visit. After that we were took to a shop where we sampled the Portugese egg desert and a shot of brandy with mint. You could then purchase these items along with the salt packages for which Averiro is known for producing.
Overall, the trip was very well organised and everyone was well looked after and we would highly recommend it.

Miguel was a “five star” excellent driver and guide! Amazing day!!
The best use of a travel day from Porto to Lisbon! First class service and got to see cities we would have not seen on our own. The trip was comfortable, informative and completely enjoyable. Miguel made sure we had the best experience possible by zeroing in on the things that interested us most. We will never forget this day!!!

This was an excellent...
This was an excellent walking tour of Porto and a great way to learn about the city's rich history. Our guide, Diego, was incredibly pleasant, highly informative, and kept the experience engaging from start to finish. It offered fantastic value for money, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to discover Porto on foot.

Really good group (shared) tour
Great tour, Igor was a great guide … very knowledgeable and friendly.
We were lucky to have a lovely group who all got on very well.
Having been on lots of food tours around the world, I’d recommend this one.
Just go with the 3 hours, plenty of food!

Fantastic 4 hour tour of Porto!
Miguel was a wonderful tour guide taking us to so many beautiful spots in Porto - there was no way we would have been able to do this ourselves even with a few days! We loved Foz Do Douro, where the Douro River meets the Atlantic Ocean, we ended up going back the next day ourselves via the historic tram he recommended. Miguel took us across the river to Gaia for more exploring including the gorgeous beaches there. We have so many great photos now as Miguel happily photographed us. Thanks so much for your warm hospitality and incredible knowledge, Miguel!

Rosa was a fantastic...
Rosa was a fantastic guide! She knew so much history and shared it in a very easily digestible way. Rosa showed us all around Porto, from winding alleys to bridges, we got to see it all! We walked all around Porto but thanks to Rosa and her expertise on the area never felt like we were going up/down the whole time. She made lots of suggestions of things to do, which helped with filling our time during the rest of our visit. Rosa surprised us with cookies baked by nuns and monks as our snack, as well as a visit to Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória. This tour was amazing and a great way to start our trip to Portugal!

Duro Valley Experience
DEFINATELY A HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP. The driver Philip made everything so much fun. He was warm, engaging, comfortable to be with and we felt very well taken care of. The wineries were gorgeous with magnificent views and each one offered us a different experience and taste. We learned so much about how the wines were made and marvelled at the hard WORK THE OWNERS AND WORKERS WERE WILLING TO PUT INTO THEIR PLACES. WE could feel their passion for what they produced and enjoyed their presentation. The drive was comfortable, exciting and breathtaking. Thank you Philip for adding so much flavour to our experience. Loved every moment from the wineries, to the boat ride and the lovely lunch Highly recommend this. Ron and Joodi Pollock

Ricardo is Fantastic!!
Ricardo was fantastic! He’s very knowledgeable of Jewish history and religion, and how they relate to Portuguese history and the broader history of Iberia. I would definitely recommend this experience, you will not find this information in a travel guide!

Igor was a fantastic...
Igor was a fantastic guide. Very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and helpful. The itinerary was an excellent introduction to Porto. The sites we visited deserve days of exploration and now we feel prepared to continue our sightseeing on foot. We are glad we did the tour on a Sunday morning which is a relatively low traffic time because there was a lot of traffic even at this time. The bikes worked well and are definitely the most efficient way of getting around the city given the hills and traffic.

Great Tour!
A lovely way to spend an afternoon in Gaia. Ricardo was very informative and explained all about the processes and differences between between the Port Wines. We went to 3 local and small wineries although not the 3 stated on the itinerary. There was no olive oil or honey tasting as stated. The walk was quite steep at first which some may need to be aware of but very doable for most people. Would defiantly recommend.
