It was a beautiful but long day. When our Uber didn't show up to take us to the meeting point they had someone come and get us. The Douro Valley Tour was not to be missed. The scenery the friendly people at the winery all very welcoming and knowledgeable. Our guide Carla was an absolute delight to spend the day with. But the lunch at Quinta da Laceira was the best, George and his mother out did themselves.

We were collected at the agreed meeting point in Porto by our guide Luis. Luis is an unforgettable character who made us feel really welcome and kept us and our fellow guests well entertained the whole day (the laughter never stopped!). We were driven through spectacular scenery with opportunities to take photos and thoroughly enjoyed visits to two wineries where we tasted white, rose and red wines and olive oil and honey too. We also tasted white and red port and learned a lot about the different classifications and origins of port wine. The tours, presentations and tastings in the wineries were very informative and really enjoyable. The day was completed by a delicious multi course meal accompanied by excellent wine and port with the desert. Finally Luis drove us expertly back to Porto to end a perfect day. Without a doubt this was the best day of our holiday and we couldn't recommend this tour enough to do it justice. Pete and Jackie from Nottingham UK.

This has the potential to be a phenomenal tour…boat ride was beautiful and the wineries were terrific, particularly the first one. As a solo English-speaking traveler, I somehow ended up as the 8th on the ‘French tour’ (the other van from this Company was clearly the English tour). Not a huge deal, but I definitely missed some of the highlights because of translation. I also got ‘left’ (looking at you Luis 👀) at one spot because the instructions were given in French. Fortunately I got picked back up! Great tour but recommend all your guests get a comparable experience if you are mixing languages.

We spent a lovely day in the beautiful Douro Valley with its spectacular terraced vineyards. We enjoyed a leisurely boat ride, fun tasting opportunities of not only wine/port, but honey and olive oil, and a local, family-style lunch. Best of all was our tour guide Emanuel! He was knowledgeable, funny and well-experienced in meeting the needs of travelers. All in all it was a wonderful day.

We LOVED our tour - we had such a fun day and loved our guide as he was personable, knowledgeable and made us feel welcomed. The boat ride was nice (a bit overcrowded) but the views were spectacular. Lunch was delicious and it was in a beautiful setting. The first winery tour was very informative and our wine sommelier had a great sense of humor. We thought we were going on two tours but the second wine tour was actually just tasting different wines while having lunch. My only negative was that we had a hard time hearing our driver in the back of the van ( his microphone was broken) with the road noise etc.

Carlos, our guide, was absolutely the best! Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the wine tasting tour. The wine tastings and information provided during the tour and lunch was 5 star. We highly recommend this tour! Carlos also was a great sport with putting our grown daughters favorite music on to karaoke with!

The tour has the best stops! AND some of the world’s great vistas! Emanuel is the best tour guide in the world. I had a very enjoyable journey. He took us to the Valley’s best vistas. The wineries, and our lunch were top notch. I could not stop talking about the great tour. I suggested this for my family members that will be coming to Porto in 2026! I was in a French tour - don’t know how that happened but Emanuel made sure to interpret to English - it was like getting a private tour.

A Beautiful area with fabulous views. Our tour guide Emmanuel was informative and funny and stopped at areas for pictures of spectacular views. He made the tour most enjoyable. We enjoyed the winery tours and tastings and the boat cruise on the Douro River was beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this tour.
