We had such a beautiful experience at Bosco De’ Medici Winery! We easily found the tour meeting point (right by the Pompeii train station), and our driver took us through town to the winery. It ended up being an intimate experience as my husband and I were the only ones on the tour and were able to sit for a private wine tasting and lunch—the winery is immaculate and the restaurant was beautiful. But, the people we met really made the day special! Virginia took us in a tour of the vineyards and explained the history of the winery—she was very knowledgeable and kind. Maddalena took us through the wine tasting—she is the sweetest woman! So funny and kind. We really enjoyed meeting her and spending the day. 11/10 recommend this tour!

Fantastic tour of the winery with Roberto who was very knowledgeable about the winery and its history. The wine tasting was with Giuseppe, who again was very knowledgeable about the wines and their production. Lovely meal.

Wonderful experience! The tour was very short but it’s a very small vineyard so that’s to be expected. The wines were exceptional and our sommelier was very knowledgeable and gracious. We expected to be with a big group of people but it ended up being a completely private tour which was a nice surprise.

We do not recommand this tour at all. The experience at the vineyard was good and so were the wine and lunch. So nothing bad to say about the winery itself. However I recommand that you simply book a taxi and go visit the vineyard by yourself since the service offered by the provider was poor. Basically, the pick-up location was not the right one and instruction were not accurate. Had a tough time reaching the company. When they finaly answered, they only act as a taxi, sending someone to pick us up. It is very expensive for a bad taxi service.

The Winery was fabulous although it was not on the mountain as advertised but round the corner from where we were staying in Pompeii. The travel company was very poor and I would not recommend them. I would however recommend the wine tasting lunch at Medici.

We brought our teenage kids to taste wine on Mt Vesuvius after a morning in Pompeii! It was a perfect wrap up. The tour of the winery was interesting. The lunch was great. Just enough food and the wines were excellent! We left alllll smiles! The only reason for my less than 5 star rating is given other wine tasting and lunch experiences I’ve had this was a bit expensive given the lunch offering. The food was excellent. Don’t get me wrong. But given the $100+ per person expense it should have been more extensive or less expensive.

About the pricing of the tour, just consider that in addition to the winery tour and lunch + wine tasting, you also have round trip transfer in a minivan with driver. We booked offseason, but the tour, wine tasting, and 4 course lunch were all perfect! Our guide was very knowledgable and despite us not knowing Italian, she was able to clearly communicate everything about Sorrentino Winery perfectly! Such a treat for a chilly February afternoon. 100% recommend even for off season.

this was a very nice tour, excellent wines and views. food was very good. short (appropriate) tour of the vineyard. more info about the format and schedule would have been helpful. we ended up eating just before our experience (as we had just completed tour at pompeii 9:30-12:30) and it seemed from talking with agent on the phone that this was a bit longer tour and then dinner (this was set up on the phone not through website)

Easily the worst tour from Viator. Picked up by a taxi who was late to arrive but early to depart. The winery tour was all but 5 minutes at max. Lunch a piece of bruschetta, spaghetti with tomato sauce, cold cuts with cheese and a slice of orange cake and wines were mediocre mediocre will be an overstatement with the winery just emphasizing to sell their wines. Stated 4 hours starting from 11am but i left at 2pm the one time i was actually glad the taxi driver aka private transfer was early. Spend your money walking Scavi Pompeii three times would be more worthwhile.

Excellent! Picked up by private a/c car. Warm welcome from all staff. Location is fantastic, lovely to walk among the old vines and other fruit and vegetables being grown. The views are stunning. Generous tastings of several wines and very nice food made this a very enjoyable and worthwhile trip.

THe BEST Tour on my list! Loved it. Me and my Goddaughter took a train, then once we got off the train, a lady with a Sign with our name was on it. Made us feel great. Air condition bus, Great food tasting, learned a lot. We walked thru the all the venues, got to taste the grapes off the trees. We ate walnuts and opened them with Lava Rock. The View and weather was perfect! Everyone should try this tour. 1 The Best
