An amazing experience

Our guide was so knowledgeable we loved the entire experience. Make sure to bring water bottles if you go in summer. The underground section is fantastic to see you can really appreciate the entire space from this level. The excavations of the Forum are not to be missed. We loved all aspects of the tour and it was a highlight of our Rome trip.

Great tour with limited time

Italo was prompt and personable. We only had time for a 2 hour tour so he explained all he could within our limited time. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We left feeling we had a better understanding of life in Pompeii

Just an average tour

Just average. Not worth the money we paid for the tour. Guide was not personable and seemed more interested in get getting through the tour than actually showing us the sites. Focused on the most viewed and busy areas. Much of the information he shared differed greatly from what is published and accepted historically and anthropologically.

Hugley engaging for everyone in our group, we had been on a coach tour in Pompeii previously and did not rate it. Lello brought Pompeii alive so you could understand what life was like when it was the busy city it was and also what happened when the volcano erupted. I personally love detail and he pointed out to us lot's of the little things that were very clever at the time.

Rosanna was such a charm to have a private tour with! She navigated us through the crowds like a pro, and engaged my teenage kids with thoughtful questions. Of course Pompeii is so huge that we couldn’t see everything, but the time flew by so fast. I wouldn’t get a large tour!

We took an 4 person guided tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. He made sure we never waited for anything. He was respectful of others but didn’t allow anyone to push us. He was entertaining but factual. I’m pretty sure his name was spelled Etaly! He gets my highest rating!!

Amazing tour! Our favorite of all the tours during our trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made things super interesting. Lots of stories and pointing out things we wouldn't have noticed ourselves. He made the tour both funny and informative!

Lelo is an archeologist with an immense understanding of all things Pompeii and the explosion of Mt Vesuvius in 79AD. I have been to Pompeii in the past in a large group tour. If I had to do it all again, I would ONLY do a private guided tour with an archeologist. Worth every penny! Lelo has a way to make you “feel” like you were there when mt Vesuvius exploded. Grazie Lelo!
