    We were sent an email with a link that said to click to get your ticket, which I did and added to Apple wallet but when got there the man on the gate said that wasn’t a ticket and we couldn’t get in with that. There’s very little / no WiFi signal so had to try and search for an askos rep (no sign of one) whilst trying to get some WiFi. After 30 mins managed to get signal and find a ticket at the very bottom of an email in junk. But the bar code ticket they say is your ticket isn’t the one. So beware!

    Life changing volcano hike

    The best thing to see in Naples and that’s saying a lot!!! What an experience! Some uphill hiking required but well worth it!!! If you can do this hike and the Pompeii ruins your visit to Naples will be unforgettable!

    Great tour but lousy tour operator

    The trek up the hill to the crater is more strenuous than I was expecting due to the description, but it was fine if you are in decent shape The crater is incredibly impressive and the audio guide was helpful I booked this excursion 10 months ago for a 10 AM entry time and 2 days before our excursion , the tour company advised me that the time was not available and that I would need to come at 2 PM instead They would refund me the money if it didn’t work out I was not happy at all about this and had to switch my itinerary last minute to be able to get there at 2 pm Very poor customer service

    Having tickets to get thru entrance was great. Make sure you have a sceen shot of tickets as there is no service there. These tickets DO NOT cover parking or ride to trailhead.

    Oh my gosh, how amazing this was. Vincenzo De Gennaro was our guide and he was soooo amazing. He was so informative and really bought us into the world of the Pompei people on the day of Mt Vesuvius eruption on 24 October 79AD. He was an excervationist on Pompei himself and his insight to all artifacts was purely amazing. He presented the information in such a engaging and fascinating way that it was engaging for the whole family.

    We received the tickets the day before as promised. Follow their instructions on your tickets and you won’t have any problems. Very easy! Highly recommend.

    Disappointed because the site was closed early

    When we arrived at the Vesuvius gate or entrance, it was closed earlier because of snowing (safety reason). So we had no access to went in. Just for the information that this mountain gate access can be closed anytime for safety reason. So you will loose you ticket money to enter when it happen.

    This is nearly double the actual ticket price! On top of this we had to pay €18 for our van and, unless you walk up & back, it’s another €3 each for the shuttle bus.

    Just make sure you buy before the bus climbs the hill because no service many places up there. And filled in extra for min 100 characters :-)

    A site well worth visiting

    We drove up the access road to Mount Vesuvius, paid $6 to park and another $3 per person to ride a minivan up the remaining section of the road to the entrance of the park. Park. We had downloaded our tickets in advance because the cell service up there is terrible and proceeded to enter the park at the time listed on our tickets. Everything was smooth. The hike was a bit strenuous but not very long and the view at the top is amazing. My advice is to plan an extra half an hour to 45 minutes. If you're driving, there's a waiting line for everything.

    Vesuvius is awesome. But… tickets costs 12 € I paid 23 € because it says skip the line. There is no skip the line option at Vesuvio Mount. Basically it’s a cheating. Don’t pay more if you expect to skip the line.

    The most memorable part of hiking up mount vesuvius was the incredible views of the surrounding area. We had some difficulty getting our tickets so i would highly recommend that they be downloaded to your phone before getting to the entrance gate. Fortunately a police officer helped us to contact viator via the phone and they sent the tickets immediately!!

    They don't send tickets then when you miss your activity they send them ,

    Missed due to bad weather (not being allowed in). Arrived later than allocated time as we had 100 mins allowed after allocated time. Unfortunately, we did not know we would be stopped going up for 45 minutes due to rain, therefore our tickets were expired. I wish this was communicated in description.

    My friend and I were planning to visit Mount Vesuvius before going to Pompeii. We had some unexpected difficulty procuring our rental car in Naples. Unfortunately, these passes were considered expired and we were unable to cross the checkpoint. One of the guards cleared me, but another guard would not clear my friend. These tickets ended up being a complete waste of time and money. If you're uncertain of the exact time when you will be at Vesuvius, I would recommend just getting a ticket there. We went during the height of tourist season in August and the line was only 10 people long.

    3 hours of wonderful views there & back from the summit.

    Quite a long walk up, 3 hours there & back. Very slippery & uneven under foot, good walking shoes required. We caught the shuttle bus from the car park up to the start point. €6 parking, €3 pp return shuttle, otherwise the walk from the car park takes approx 30mins.

    This ticket does what it says - it enables you to skip the line to climb the final ascent of Mount Vesuvius. The instructions are quite comprehensive, but could benefit from including some information about the parking lot and shuttle vs. walking options to enable guests to arrive at the entrance point on time.

    We just walked right in as there was no line when we got there. Just scanned our passes and followed the path. Very simple and straightforward. There was confusion all over the internet about parking, but it’s a non-issue. Just put Vesuvius in Google maps and most of the way up the mountain there is a big parking “P” and a shuttle to take you the rest of the way. Or, you can walk the 15 minutes on your own, just be careful of the crazy buses.

    Belle ascension pour arriver en haut du volcan, très belle vue, la montée et la descente réveillent des muscles! …par contre billet qui coûte 2 fois plus cher que sur le site officiel…
