We had already visited Pompeii and knew that many of the original artifacts were stored at this museum. We entered quickly and immediately started to view the amazing statues, frescos, and utensils that had been found there 1700 years after the volcanic eruption. Do not bother with the MANN app available on the store. It is useless. Scan the QR code available at the entrance, and get a map of the museum. The displays are well done with specific information. Don't miss the materials upstairs where the pots, pans, and every day use items are along with amazing frescoes. We appreciated all the visuals when we went back to Pompeii the next day.

It looks a little neglected from the outside but is magnificent within. If you’ve been to Pompeii or Herculaneum before then this will add another dimension to what you’ve seen. Hundreds of giant statues, mosaics and frescoes from these sites are hugely impressive. There’s a couple of animations to enjoy but mostly it’s a case of wondering around. Free lockers for any luggage, a cafe and small shop for souvenirs complete the experience.

You must not miss this museum - ravishing Roman artifacts and paintings. But we were not given our tickets (by email) until 10.30, The office where we were supposed to redeem our vouchers was closed. We turned up at 9.45 per instructions - we did indeed 'skip the line', but would have got into the museum earlier if we hadn't!

My wife, myself, and another couple decided to stop in Naples Italy on the way to our vacation on the Amalfi coast. I bought these tickets to MNAN through Viator since we had a tight schedule. I was told by email several times that had confirmed prepaid tickets but a third party (Weekend in Italy) would email the actual museum entry passes 48 hours before visit. Less than 24 hours before planed visit the third party finally emailed me that tickets were not available and my "confirmed" reservation was canceled AND to contact Viator for a refund. We made it to Naples with time to spare so we went to the MNAN to see if could get in. There were plenty of tickets available at the door for less than half of what Viator and their third party "ticket supplier" charged. Four days ago I forwarded the third party's cancelation email to Viator and requested a refund, have not received a response- just this "rate your experiance" spam. I WILL NEVER USE VIATOR AGAIN - THEY DO NOT MEET THEIR COMMITMENTS!

The museum did not accept the voucher we received from Viator. We had to pay again at the door. I have requested a refund from Viator but it is difficult to make contact I will not use Viator again! !

Viator is an aggregator that contracted with a local company for tickets. The charge was also 50% more than the ticket price ($32 vs $20). After taking the money and the company confirming a time and date, our tickets were cancelled just 24 hours before the tour. We contacted Viator for a refund ($109.17 for 3 tickets) and they said they would refund the money. As of 3 days later, we did not get a refund.

Difficult to find the ticket pick up place, skip the line NOT needed- no line, and more costly than buying a ticket at the museum.

VIATOR Notified us one day before our escursion of their failure to obtain tickets (Bought two weeks earlier) Viator has not taken ownership for unacceptable experience. No commitment for refund. Beware,

My son wanted to see the statue of Atlas and we did. Our goal was accomplished and saw many other interesting things.
The only thing wrong was when we got there with the downloaded ticket and booking # they said it was not a ticket, however ended up letting us in with some convincing.

We were supposed to meet someone there at 1:30 to receive our tickets , we got there at 1:15 & waited until 1:45. NO ONE showed up ! We are both mad as hell & want a complete refund.

Paid over $62 for tickets. Could have bought same thing at museum for $22, no line. Don’t waste your money. No one met us for a guided tour. Waited over an hour for guide to meet us, no one showed up. Ticket office would not accept electronic tickets from my phone. Horrible experience

Turning vouchers into tickets was a confusing process, instructions not accurate and frustrating. If you follow the Viator instruction, the .pdf loops you back to the voucher not the actual ticket… to find the ticket barcodes, you have to click on “contact tour operator” and only then will the barcodes (the tickets) appear.

Amazing marble statues, some 20 feet tall and there was probably a few hundred, along with bronze sculptures, bron!e cookware, glass vessels from Pompeii along with even silver serving item 2,000 years old. I did not realized that silver was used in that manner during that time.

Viator service was great! Best in the museumnwere the section Pompei amd Herculeanum. We loved the exellent Mosaik and the Paintings... sooo many! The Sektion with erotic Objekts was closed, just a few and there were no burried bodys from Pompei and Herculeanum... which Newspaper and books represented. Anyway... it was great to see! Thanks for all Viator team!

Para ir a este fantástico museu tive de abandonar em Salerno o grupo no qual me encontrava integrado e ir para Nápoles de comboio. O que me atraiu ao museu foi o desejar completar as visitas em grupo às ruinas de Pompeia, Herculano e Paestum, com a visualização do património lá encontrado (frescos, mosaicos e artefactos vários). Valeu muito a pena.

Très beau musée. Les collections sont exceptionnelles. Un très bon complément à ma visite du site de Pompei. Un remerciement particulier à la personne de l'entrée qui nous a laissé entrée car nous avions une réservation et payés les billets mais Viator doit savoir que les bons d'échange ne fonctionne pas en ce moment, pas de délivrance de billets
... cause Covid. Il faut que Viator puisse envoyer des billets et pas un bon d'échange.
