I loved everything: beautiful views, a great crew, the Blue Lagoon is simply amazing, I've rarely seen such clear water! And the slide on the boat is unforgettable.

Absolutely wonderful time with luzzo cruises, John paul, our captain was brilliant and the rest of the staff, unfortunately I cannot remember their names but they were so nice and helpful. We went to Gozo where we were net by a wonderful bus driver who brought us to victoria and back to the boat, we swam in the blue Lagoon and I highly recommend it

Soak up views of scenic bays and historic towns as you cruise along the coast to Malta’s sister island, Gozo, where you moor in the main harbor. This is a great trip, effectively taking a full day (seven hours). It's brilliantly organised, and nicely leaves people with free time in the key places, while ensuring transport around Gozo. Staff in the boat are friendly and helpful. The sights are excellent. Good value. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience, thank you! The excursion was very smooth, no problems. The toilets could have been a bit cleaner. Would recommend 100%.

KathleenK_S, Jul 2026
Not as advertised! We expected commentary on Gozo; instead driven to parking spot and told to walk up hill and see the citadel and city and be back in 1-1/2 hrs. Got back early and driver wouldn’t let us on bus and out of heat (know you can’t do anything about the heat wave but we could have sat in air-conditioning on bus for 20 minutes!) Driver was busy conducting other business on phone while time, even while driving. Boat was over-crowded.

Don’t Waste Your Time or Money

Christopher_B, Jul 2026
If you want to go with 250 of your newest 17-25 year olds you met in the club last night, this is your tour. If you are an actual adult or family or want to actually see the city or snorkel don’t bother. This was nothing more than any spring break at Lake Havasu, Panama City, or Cancun. If they just called it a party boat with a quick dip in the blue lagoon with 3000 other people, that would be a more apt description. Cattle boat couldn’t be a more appropriate way to describe. The “tour” (in quotes on purpose because it’s anything but), starts with filling the boat to max capacity, an hour and a half ride where you can’t see anything because all the “teens” gathering around the rails to vape, then they drop you off with no accountability or directions to get on a random bus in Gozo. After a 20 minute ride, you’re dumped out on some side street with expert directions of head up the hill, you’ll eventually get to the citadel, be back in 2 hours. Then back on the boat to the blue lagoon where there are legitimately 50 other boats and 3000 other people to snorkel or “explore the island”. Snorkeling is watching 3 fish under the boat while trying not to be hit by people on water slides, jumping from the bow or top deck of boats, or any number of idiots launching themselves from the rocks/cliffs. As for shore, it’s nothing but food trucks or chair & umbrella rentals. Then it’s fighting all 3000 people down the single file stairs to get back on the boats that all leave at the same time to make space for the evening wave. Back on the boat you get treated to an entire boat of overserved kids eating three hotdogs at a time and loudly telling each other what a giant (insert demeaning term) they were. Do not waste your money.

Blue lagoon stunning

marina_t, Jul 2026
We took a 1.5 hour boat ride put to Gozo, then hop of on bus . Then over to blue lagoon which was spectacular. Very crowded.

Pam_G, Jun 2026
Trip overall was good but didn't get long enough in Gozo...was only there for approximately 1 and a half hours.

An enjoyable trip, though some improvement is needed for the visit to Gozo

Yogesh_J, Jun 2026
This is a very enjoyable trip that takes you to Comino and Gozo, two interesting islands in the Malta archipelago. The blue lagoon is fantastic and certainly worth a visit. The cruise itself is quite pleasant and shows much of the area around Malta. Gozo is a nice place to visit. But the trip basically takes you to Victoria and drops you there for a couple of hours with no guide. I wish they had someone explain the history of the island and guide us to the places worth visiting. Still the trip is worthwhile.

Not a great trip. They ruined my Blue Lagoon experience.

Sam_H, May 2026
Boat tied to shore and gave us a terrible spot to swim. If you want to enjoy yourself then take a catamaran and forget this boat.

Response from Host, May 2026

Dear Sam_H, We re sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience. Blue lagoon jetties are controlled by Transport Malta and the authorities tell us which jetty is available at the time so it doesn't matter which boat to take, because the captain has to follow the authority s orders. Hope you ll enjoy the rest of your stay in Malta. Kind regards Luzzu Cruises

An unforgettable experience

Could be better arranged

Charles_Q, May 2026
The journey by boat it 90 mins. Its a bouncy journey out but superb back. The time in Gozo is not long enough. The transit van we was expected to travel in was old and very cramped. No air con and would be unbearable in anything above 23c.The driver dropped us off and just said walked left and up the hill. Not a great start and the next statement was be back by 2.15. We then waited on our own waiting for the boat. Coming amd thr blue lagoon are the same thing. Comino is the island the cove is the blue lagoon. Its crowded and the route can be dangerous is volcanic rock. Several street food places and cocktails street sellers.

Great day out

Neville_C, May 2026
Water can be cold in May. The bus tour probably needs more information about Gozo. The rest was good.

VICKI_H, May 2026
Be prepared for a lot of uphill walking. You don't get a tour, Gozo time to walk to Citedel and back to bus, no time for lunch or seeing the town we were at, then straight to the Blue Lagoon for one hour. Everyone was dressed for swimming. Big disappointment! Then we were done with just the ferry ride back to the drop off.

Great excursion, well...

Laura_A, May 2026
Great excursion, well organised. Blue Lagoon was beautiful but didn’t expect the crowds and the amount of fast food vans - great to have food and drink there but took away from the experience for me. Nothing to do with the organisers but worth knowing before you go

Gozo blue lagoon cruise by Luzza.

Paul_F, May 2026
Nice clean boat. Very busy/ almost full the day we sailed. Well organised. The transfer to Gozo’s capital was included and with enough time for a wander around the Citadel and a coffee. It’s an uphill walk from the bus drop off, if you have mobility problems it could be challenging. There is a lift at the Citadel. A 90 minute stop at the Blue lagoon was about right Time for a famous pineapple cocktail and a sit. It was very busy. Remember to book a landing pass if you wish to leave the boat. We had an enjoyable day out in general.

Blue Lagoon - good but over crowded - Tour logistics a disaster

gcxplore, May 2026
Very poorly organised and executed. - online ticket - confusion at departure jetty having to scan qr codes and go from one person to another. Should have just had to show ticket and be given the arm bands. - arrive at Gozo - complete mayhem , no buses ready , being pushed into separate groups before finally departing about 40mins later. - Dumped in Victoria about 500m from the Citadel and told to be back at the bus 1hr 15min later (would have been 1hr 45min if there had been buses at the jetty in Gozo waiting. The Blue lagoon was visually good but completely overcrowed with people all over the place. There were at least twice the number of people that the place would comforably handle.

Blue lagoon cruise

Hansa_P, Apr 2026
The start of the trip was a little tricky as we weren’t aware that we needed a landing pass before we could actually get on the boat When we got to Gozo for the land transportation there was lots of confusion as to were we had to get the transport from which took more then ten minutes to sort out After all this the trip in whole was a good one just need to sort the above issues out first

Historical tour of Malta’s old capital plus much more

Geraldine_B, Apr 2026
A full day with a passionate guide. John pointed out lots of information that you would never know or find out on your own.

Great boat and crew - questionable destination (Blue Lagoon)

Nick_M, Apr 2026
Firstly I must say the boat and crew were great. I’ve given three stars primarily because of two things; one is the Gozo drop off in Victoria which left an uphill kilometre walk to the Citadella. Although I understand this is probably to avoid being stuck in traffic it should be made clear in the information before booking. The other point is personal and relevant to the Blue Lagoon which was crowded with boats of all sizes and as commercialised as is possible for such an isolated place. I guess it’s ok for young party going people but not what I expected in April. It must be an absolute nightmare in peak season.

A lovely outing

Thomas_N, Mar 2026
It was a lovely outing on a beautiful day to some great places on a very nice and fast boat. The Blue Lagoon was gorgeous.

Great locations

Carolyn_B, Mar 2026
Great locations . All worth visiting and boat was fine . Bit disorganised when getting transport into Gozo too many people got buses

Worth the trip primarily to see/ swim in the Blue Lagoon

Rita_R, Mar 2026
The time allocated for each segment is sufficient. I wish the explanation on the Viator website mentioned the process better. Please note not to forget carrying your smart phone. At Ferries 4 in Sliema, where you board the boat there is an additional step prior to boarding. The check in staff provides a QR code that you have to scan and follow the steps on your phone which upon completion provides the additional code needed which the agent needs to scan to allow you to board. This additional step gives you the approval to visit the Blue Lagoon. The ticket that the tour operator sends via your Viator confirmation is only for the boat trip. It is confusing so please reserve additional time. For the 10 am start, I suggest arriving at 9.15 am. The on boarding process is a bit chaotic and lines can get long. Also I wish the trip to Gozo included a drive around the island instead of just a drop off at a meeting point. Also a historic overview at the start of the boat trip would be interesting for those visiting the island. The rating reflects the chaos at boarding in Sliema and transport arrangements at Gozo. The experience itself is fine.

First down the slide but not the last!

SO MUCH FUN!!! Informative & interesting ..... the water is saltier than other oceans. Food & drink available too

Superb - packs a lot into a day

Well worth it but a long day - the last hour you'll need paracetamol and shade lol.

Raymond_P, Mar 2026
It was well worth doing. Take a rucksack with snacks, plenty water, hat, sunscreen, towel, swim shorts, sensible shoes you don't want ruined. March was the perfect time to do this. Much later it would have been scorching and busy. Using Google maps make sure departure places are nearby you. The same tour can sometimes leave from different harbours. Gozo was lovely, use Google maps to find restaurants and the citadel. Blue lagoon was breathtaking. I didn't realise we'd be getting off at Gozo but once I found where I was going it was fantastic.

Fabulous scenery

Monica_B, Feb 2026
The scenery at Blue Lagoon was breathtaking. There was plenty of time to explore the island and/or dip feet in the water. A bit cold for February so I wish I had a coat. Gozo was lovely; I wish I had more time there.

Really good day

colin_e, Feb 2026
The journey out was longer than expected, not really an issue but I would have preferred a breakdown of timings everywhere beforehand. But overall very enjoyable day.

Perfect activity as solo traveler

Sarah_W, Feb 2026
I’m a female solo traveler (in uni) and I met so many other solo travelers on this trip that I even went to dinner with after. It goes from 10 am until 5:30 ish pm. I strongly recommend getting there 45-30 minutes before to get wristbands and a good seat up top (sit on the left since all the sites going to Comino will be on your left+ I recommend sitting in the middle of the sun deck for a happy medium; front got sprayed a lot and was very close to speakers but back couldn’t hear speakers as well). I also recommend doing the full bus tour to Victoria. The mini vans have solo seats and I heard later some people (who didn’t sign up for buses) took Bolts to Victoria anyway. Given perfect time to grab a quick bite and walk to Citadel! For blue lagoon, was so windy to really want to swim plus we were going given an hour (and getting back on the boat took 15 minutes) but was soooo pretty. Seeing the caves and was irrelevant to me but still cool. Overall, such a good relaxing tour, well planned, and great for solo travelers!

Lovely trip.

Yvonne_B, Feb 2026
Very friendly and helpful staff on board. We were well informed about the trip and we really enjoyed it.

Gozo/Comino cruise

Kathleen_L, Feb 2026
The cruising was good, with good commentary. The time in Victoria was too short compared to the length of time at the blue lagoon, which in itself was very nice, but less to see than on Gozo, unless you want to swim. Which no one did on our boat. Crew were very helpful. Also the first bus stop on Gozo was totally unnecessary and the bus drivers of little or no assistance.

Excellent ferry cruise

Dana_C, Feb 2026
Overall, it was beyond our expectation. Lovely day with extraordinary views. Excellent decision to relax & de-stress.
