This is a great trip, effectively taking a full day (seven hours). It's brilliantly organised, and nicely leaves people with free time in the key places, while ensuring transport around Gozo. Staff in the boat are friendly and helpful. The sights are excellent. Good value. Highly recommended.

Arrive at the terminal in Sliema 30 minutes before departure, then board your vessel. It includes bathroom facilities, a sundeck, and an onboard bar with food and drink for sale, plus swimming ladders and a waterslide for use when the boat is at anchor.

Soak up views of scenic bays and historic towns as you cruise along the coast to Malta’s sister island, Gozo, where you moor in the main harbor. Board the bus for a photo stop at pretty Xlendi Bay then a longer stop in Victoria, where you can see the hilltop fortified Citadel or shop at the market independently before returning to the harbor.

Next, sail to Comino and the beautiful Blue Lagoon. There’s time here to swim, sunbathe, or snorkel—equipment is available to rent on board. Stop at the Comino Caves before you cruise back to Sliema.

Blue lagoon cruise

Hansa_P, Apr 2026
The start of the trip was a little tricky as we weren’t aware that we needed a landing pass before we could actually get on the boat When we got to Gozo for the land transportation there was lots of confusion as to were we had to get the transport from which took more then ten minutes to sort out After all this the trip in whole was a good one just need to sort the above issues out first

Historical tour of Malta’s old capital plus much more

Geraldine_B, Apr 2026
A full day with a passionate guide. John pointed out lots of information that you would never know or find out on your own.

Great boat and crew - questionable destination (Blue Lagoon)

Nick_M, Apr 2026
Firstly I must say the boat and crew were great. I’ve given three stars primarily because of two things; one is the Gozo drop off in Victoria which left an uphill kilometre walk to the Citadella. Although I understand this is probably to avoid being stuck in traffic it should be made clear in the information before booking. The other point is personal and relevant to the Blue Lagoon which was crowded with boats of all sizes and as commercialised as is possible for such an isolated place. I guess it’s ok for young party going people but not what I expected in April. It must be an absolute nightmare in peak season.

A lovely outing

Thomas_N, Mar 2026
It was a lovely outing on a beautiful day to some great places on a very nice and fast boat. The Blue Lagoon was gorgeous.

Great locations

Carolyn_B, Mar 2026
Great locations . All worth visiting and boat was fine . Bit disorganised when getting transport into Gozo too many people got buses

Worth the trip primarily to see/ swim in the Blue Lagoon

Rita_R, Mar 2026
The time allocated for each segment is sufficient. I wish the explanation on the Viator website mentioned the process better. Please note not to forget carrying your smart phone. At Ferries 4 in Sliema, where you board the boat there is an additional step prior to boarding. The check in staff provides a QR code that you have to scan and follow the steps on your phone which upon completion provides the additional code needed which the agent needs to scan to allow you to board. This additional step gives you the approval to visit the Blue Lagoon. The ticket that the tour operator sends via your Viator confirmation is only for the boat trip. It is confusing so please reserve additional time. For the 10 am start, I suggest arriving at 9.15 am. The on boarding process is a bit chaotic and lines can get long. Also I wish the trip to Gozo included a drive around the island instead of just a drop off at a meeting point. Also a historic overview at the start of the boat trip would be interesting for those visiting the island. The rating reflects the chaos at boarding in Sliema and transport arrangements at Gozo. The experience itself is fine.

First down the slide but not the last!

Superb - packs a lot into a day

Well worth it but a long day - the last hour you'll need paracetamol and shade lol.

Raymond_P, Mar 2026
It was well worth doing. Take a rucksack with snacks, plenty water, hat, sunscreen, towel, swim shorts, sensible shoes you don't want ruined. March was the perfect time to do this. Much later it would have been scorching and busy. Using Google maps make sure departure places are nearby you. The same tour can sometimes leave from different harbours. Gozo was lovely, use Google maps to find restaurants and the citadel. Blue lagoon was breathtaking. I didn't realise we'd be getting off at Gozo but once I found where I was going it was fantastic.

Fabulous scenery

Monica_B, Feb 2026
The scenery at Blue Lagoon was breathtaking. There was plenty of time to explore the island and/or dip feet in the water. A bit cold for February so I wish I had a coat. Gozo was lovely; I wish I had more time there.

Really good day

colin_e, Feb 2026
The journey out was longer than expected, not really an issue but I would have preferred a breakdown of timings everywhere beforehand. But overall very enjoyable day.

Perfect activity as solo traveler

Sarah_W, Feb 2026
I’m a female solo traveler (in uni) and I met so many other solo travelers on this trip that I even went to dinner with after. It goes from 10 am until 5:30 ish pm. I strongly recommend getting there 45-30 minutes before to get wristbands and a good seat up top (sit on the left since all the sites going to Comino will be on your left+ I recommend sitting in the middle of the sun deck for a happy medium; front got sprayed a lot and was very close to speakers but back couldn’t hear speakers as well). I also recommend doing the full bus tour to Victoria. The mini vans have solo seats and I heard later some people (who didn’t sign up for buses) took Bolts to Victoria anyway. Given perfect time to grab a quick bite and walk to Citadel! For blue lagoon, was so windy to really want to swim plus we were going given an hour (and getting back on the boat took 15 minutes) but was soooo pretty. Seeing the caves and was irrelevant to me but still cool. Overall, such a good relaxing tour, well planned, and great for solo travelers!

Lovely trip.

Yvonne_B, Feb 2026
Very friendly and helpful staff on board. We were well informed about the trip and we really enjoyed it.

Gozo/Comino cruise

Kathleen_L, Feb 2026
The cruising was good, with good commentary. The time in Victoria was too short compared to the length of time at the blue lagoon, which in itself was very nice, but less to see than on Gozo, unless you want to swim. Which no one did on our boat. Crew were very helpful. Also the first bus stop on Gozo was totally unnecessary and the bus drivers of little or no assistance.

Excellent ferry cruise

Dana_C, Feb 2026
Overall, it was beyond our expectation. Lovely day with extraordinary views. Excellent decision to relax & de-stress.

It’s exactly as...

Amanda_M, Feb 2026
It’s exactly as described. Save yourself a few minutes and follow the advice given in the email you will receive just prior to your trip: organise your access to the Blue Lagoon prior to departure. I went in winter when the Blue Lagoon time is 1 hr. I would’ve preferred the 90 mins offered in summer. I had time to take a few photos and then power walk to the tower and back. If you really want to explore and swim, you’ll be pressed for time. Not a problem - just be aware. I loved it.

Depends on the time of the year, dress accordingly so it doesnt get cold on board! Great time! Crew is great!

Excellent value!!

Alison_F, Feb 2026
The trip was excellent value for money - a whole day. A cruise with a little commentary along the coast to Gozo and some free time there in Victoria, then more free time on Comino and at the Blue Lagoon. All the staff were extremely lovely and polite. A day well spent! Recommendation - get to the pick up at least 45 mins before departure. Wrist bands have to be issued - slightly chaotic!

Malta by boat

VickiAnn_L, Jan 2026
What a great day out on the ocean. A really good tour to see the sights of Malta and experience swimming in the wonderful blue water. Highly recommend.

Beautiful

Abbie_R, Jan 2026
We had a beautiful day !! The blue lagoon was stunning. We had a very rocky experience ok the boat as the weather took a turn for the worst but the staff were incredible.

A very complete boat journey to discover Comino and Gozo islands

Ines_M, Jan 2026
A great journey to discover Comino island - 60 minutes of free time, used to walk to the Blue Lagoon both ways due to bad weather preventing the boat to go there- and Gozo Island - 75 minutes of free time in the capital + 1 bus stop to take pictures of the landscape- as well as some nice caves at the end of the journey when coming back from Comino. There’s the option to stay at Comino instead of visiting Gozo (b) or stay at Gozo port instead of bus trip (c). I think it’s better to take the full trip, unless you want to swim in the blue lagoon or you are too tired to take a walk. Explanations of the guide in several languages mainly in the boat through the coast of Malta to explain the main points of the island.

Everything was perfect!...

Danielle_P, Jan 2026
Everything was perfect! Well worth the money!!!many beautiful photo opts! The staff were very professional .It was an amazing day!

Excellent Day Trip

A nice tour with time on your own but also well organised. Was during the winter months and weather wasn't so great. But it was still enjoyable and boat crew are very friendly and welcoming

Enjoyable Cruise

Ez_T, Nov 2025
Lovely cruise. Luzzu crew were professional and friendly. The cruise was very organised. Departure, stops etc. were on time. Blue lagoon & caves were beautiful.

Samantha_M, Nov 2025
Gozo is fantastic - the trip to Comino/Blue lagoon was a letdown, it’s far too busy and commercialised and we weren’t able to enjoy it, but that wasn’t related to the cruise itself, it’s something Malta tourism board need to look at. Staff were fantastic and made sure everything ran to schedule. We didn’t get the bus in Gozo and opted to explore ourselves, but each to their own.

Gozo Island & Blue Lagoon Camino Island

Mervyn_C, Nov 2025
Boat trip was nice with good commentary on way. Bus tour in Gozo was disappointing, it was just a small tour van and not very clean and no commentary provided. Not much to do at first stop though the 2nd stop Victoria the capital was lovely quaint village Blue lagoon is a very busy spot, it is stunning and nice to have a little dip.

Great 1 day tour for...

Rahul_K, Oct 2025
Great 1 day tour for family to see islands in Malta. Ample time to explore the various tourist spots mentioned in the cruise.

Just fine

Allison_C, Oct 2025
I don’t think this is the best option for a solo traveller. There is nowhere to store your items when you get to blue lagoon if you wanted to go swimming. The swimming area designated by the boat is just a small slice between 2 parked boats- hence a no storage issue if you wanted to swim elsewhere. The Gozo portion was just free time, not a detailed tour by any means. Overall very average day, but I probably would have enjoyed more just taking the ferry or paying for a more expensive but smaller experience
