We had a lovely day being taken around Malta. Our guide, Salah colled is from our hotel and was very accommodating to the slight amendments we asked for. There was more traffic due to a number of cruise ships in the port but he coped amicably.

Wonderful day with our driver who was most informative about local history and customs.

This was exactly what we were looking for. Our driver Salah was amazing. We hit all the stops we wanted to see and had enough time to enjoy each without feeling too rushed. It was a lot in one day but I don’t know how else we would have been able to see all that we did. Our driver treated us to a light local snack and drink in Mdina. I can’t say enough about how great this tour was for my wife, two young children, and I. Highly recommend. Worth the price!

This private tour was a GREAT way to see Malta. Our driver was informative, prompt, and pleasant. The car was spacious and very nicely air conditioned. The tour was not expensive based on a per person cost. We were able to customize the tour based on our preferences which was priceless. We were taken to all the sites we wanted to see including the beautiful Blue Grotto where we paid 10E per person and had absolutely no wait for a boat. This tour was the second we did with a private driver during our Mediterranean cruise and we would highly recommend touring this way. We made sure that the tour arrived in plenty of time to meet the ship's departure time as that is always a concern.

My husband and I booked a private tour while part of a cruise. Our guide, Salah, met us with a sign and smile at the exact location we were guided to even though we were 30 minutes later than expected due to the water shuttle from the cruise ship.
Salah was energetic, totally accommodating to absolutely anything we wanted to do, but also gave suggestions based on his experience. He recommended. a wonderful spot for lunch at a charming fishing village and drove safely and proficiently all over the island. We had time to see every highlight off the island at our own pace and interest level. He even purchased us these wonderful local drinks!
One point: this tour is not a tour with a professional guide who will accompany you into each site and give thorough details. It is a tour with a driver who knows the island but is NOT a professional guide. Salah was a very special, kind, open man who shared much with us about the island and the sites, but do not expect a guided tour. If you choose this tour, your driver may(as did Salah) give you a handout describing each site. You could also prepare prior to the tour.
In sum, this was an excellent alternative to the cruise offering to provide an overview of the island in 6 hours. Salah was great and we thank him and appreciate his extraordinary effort and professionalism. Just do not expect a tour with a driver and a professional guide.

The driver was very nice but he was not a tour guide. He basically just dropped us off places and didn't even give us a suggested time for how long to stay (which would have been very helpful at the ancient ruins). We spent too much time there and then had hardly any time in Mdina which we would have prioritzed. I assumed (my fault ) that there was time to visit everything in the itinerary, but there definitely wasn't time for everything, so we ended up being disappointed that we missed out or didn't have enough time in some of the stops. Malta is beautiful and I wished our time had been better spent.

We are disappointed by your review for two reasons. Firstly, you seem to have been expecting an official tour guide with you when nowhere in our advert do we say that we have one on the tour. Reviews also indicate this, as does the price. You wouldn’t get a professional tour guide + driver + private vehicle for 6 hours at this price. Tours offering the extra service of an official tour guide would cost double the price.
Secondly, we are also surprised you say the driver did not give you a suggested time for how long to stay at a particular place because our driver always makes it a point to give customers an idea of how much time to spend at any one place but then if customers want to spend more time at one place, as you did, that is up to them. The good thing about a private tour like ours is precisely to allow customers to see Malta’s sites at their own pace and have free rein to decide how long to stay in any one place, unlike group tours where you would be tied by time restrictions for each place you visit. Perhaps, in your case, that would have been the better option.
However, if you spent a long time at one place, because you wanted to, it would be pretty obvious that you’d then have less time for the rest of the sites on the itinerary, because you knew that you’d booked a 6-hour tour and not an indefinite one! Undoubtedly, with more careful time distribution, you would have seen more but, this being a private tour, it was up to you to keep track of time and take driver’s suggestions or ignore them. As many of our reviews indicate, the majority of our customers manage to visit most of Malta’s best sites on the 6-hour tour.

An excellent outing with Salaa who was a very good driver and provided useful information at each stop. The company and driver were very flexible allowing us to delete and add stops to our liking. As noted this is not a guided tour but we like this and not having someone with you every second and following a tight preset schedule. We were also provided a print out with information about each stop we had selected and we could choose how much time we wanted to spend at each site. Very comfortable SUV for just the two of us so very comfortable. Great experience!

Thank you for your review! On our tour, we do not have the service of an official tour guide, having that extra service on a private tour would raise the cost much higher than ours. The driver therefore cannot accompany customers in the attractions but having great experience in this work, he is able to share with customers his knowledge of the sites which are visited.

We had 10 hours in Malta on a cruise stop and this tour was the perfect way to see all the vital places. Our driver was incredible. He really catered the tour around what we wanted to see and gave us options (and recommendations when we asked). The six hours flew but we got to see almost everything. It was very affordable for what we were getting -- a private car and our own tour guide. I felt sorry for people piled in buses trying to see the same things. If you're on a cruise and have just one day to see Malta, this is a great way to see the country's beauty and learn as well.

The four of us were very happy to see so much of Malta in the comfort of our own private vehicle and the terrific service we received . We were picked up right beside our Birgu rental apartment and then dropped off within steps of our selected stops on the tour and then picked up right on time, every time. Our driver although not an official tour guide, was very engaging with information and stories about life in Malta as well as providing answers to so many of our questions. He smoothly navigated through the ridiculous traffic and made us very grateful that we decided against renting a car. This is not an exhaustive tour as we saw many of the highlights in a reasonably short period of time including a short boat ride to the caves. One suggestion is to skip Mdina/Rabat if you are already staying in Malta and return another day. There is too much to see there in the extremely limited time we had.

Sala gave us a great 6 hour private trip around Malta.
There were many places on the full itinerary that we were given and could personalise the places we wanted to go to.
Sala was able to take us to our chosen places and also gave us extensive information on the background and history of each of them .
We wanted to drive by the villa that the late Queen & Prince Philip lived in whilst he was a naval officer here.
Sala ensured he found the villa for us which we were so grateful for.
We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanted a great overview of Malta.

We did the 6 hour tour which was excellent. Salah was a great driver and gave us lots of info on Malta. He drops you at each location you want to go to and waits nearby. It takes longer to get around Malta than you think due to the traffic so don’t pack too much in. We did Mosta Dome, St Anton Gardens, Blue Grotto, Hagar Qim, Dingli cliffs and Mdina. This took the full 6 hours. You choose what you want to do and Salah works out the route. Really safe driver, professional and friendly. No shopping or forced lunch breaks. I would highly recommend.

Salah did a great job. While not a guide per se he did provide interesting info regarding the locations we visited. We visited the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, the blue grotto, ancient ruins, Rabat, Mdina, the catacombs, St. Paul’s grotto, St. Paul’s bay and Valetta. He went above and beyond and adapted to our wish. Highly recommend.

It was our first time in Malta and in the limited time available we wanted to get a decent overview of the Island and we packed a lot in. Frances was an excellent driver and host and managed to park very 'creatively' close to all venues. He was couteous and friendly and his vehicle was spotless. More importantly, we were not locked into a pre-determined itinerary but had the opportunity to adjust to our particular interests. The weather was kind and we had a great day!
