Flamenco with family

We had such a wonderful time at our one-hour flamenco class with Gema! She is a professional flamenco dancer with incredible energy and enthusiasm. She didn't speak English, and we speak very little Spanish, but her instructions were so expressive and easy to follow that the language barrier didn't matter. Our group of seven ranged in age from 6 to 79, and everyone had an amazing time. Even though we were all pretty uncoordinated, Gema made us feel comfortable, encouraged us to have fun, and kept us laughing the whole class. It was a memorable, authentic experience and a fantastic way to spend part of our trip to Madrid. ¡Olé!

Perfect activity for a hen weekend in Madrid

This class was a highlight of our trip! The teacher (Giovanna) was amazing — passionate, patient, and fun — making us beginners feel confident. We learned rhythm, clapping, footwork, and even a short routine, all while gaining insight into flamenco’s history and culture. A perfect mix — I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid!

The class itself is in the Flamenco studio on the top floor of the market. This package is no booked through the studio. So call your contact when you arrive as the studio will have no idea about your class. The class itself was a great intro and the instructor, Giovanna, was a fantastic teacher.

Class didn't run and I didn't know

I think this could have been really fun. However, I booked and got my ticket confirmation, when I arrived at the meeting point I couldn't see anyone there. I called the number on the ticket, and they hadn't received my booking and no one else had booked so they weren't running the class. Honestly probably more of a problem on Viator's end than the company. By the time I got home and opened my laptop they had already processed the refund, so that was good to see at least.

Great fun for all ages - held in a real flamenco studio

A totally uplifting and fun experience that will be remembered by all 10 of us, ranging from age 9-80. My entire family enjoyed the dancing — it’s held in a famous flamenco training studio. The instructor crossed the language barrier through very clear demonstrations. Not sure why there aren’t more reviews—it was an excellent follow-up to seeing a flamenco show. Would definitely do it again.
