- The 3 hour tour is very dependent on how long clients want to remain at each site, we flexible according to the clients needs on tour, each group of clients are different some like to stay at a view point have coffee and spend 45min. So it's very flexible. We have a route that takes but the clients decides how long they want to spend at each stop. We have time within the 3 hour tour we stop at other view points.

This was tailored to our needs and unfortunately we had to use most of our 3 hours at the Toboggan ride. We only had this day to ride them due to the Toboggan being closed the day before. We didn’t expect to be so long. Otherwise, we got a short tour of Old Town. This was not the fault of the driver.

A great three hours. Goth was a lovely guide, knowledgeable and polite, we felt really looked after. He showed us two great viewpoints and the fisherman’s village and he drove carefully so we felt very safe. Hats and jackets were provided and we were picked up from the port in Funchal and dropped off at our requested point - the Lido (much recommended if you enjoy swimming and sunbathing). Thank you both gor a very enjoyable morning.

We were in Madeira for the day as part of a 14 day cruise. At each port we wanted something 'unusual' to do and Adventure Trikes certainly appealed to us.
We booked it in advance and John met us at the agreed time and meeting point.
The weather wasn't particularly great and the planned tour to Nunn's Valley had to be changed due to landslides blocking roads following recent rainfall. John quickly did a diversion, stopping for coffee and photo taking at view points.
The entire 3 hours was the highlight of our cruise, an amazing experience which we will never ever forget.
If in doubt, book it, you wont regret it!

Do not miss this experience. Thrilling, fun, gorgeous. You will experience Madeira in all its glory. Darth is the perfect driver and guide for this. We saw sights that made us say “wow”. We felt the wind on our helmeted faces and couldn’t stop smiling. Perfect way to spend 3 hours.

Fantastic 3 hour ride with Garth. My wife's first time on any kind of motorcycle and we both felt completely safe with Garth's more than capable riding skills. He is a wonderful, knowledgeable and personable guide and we enjoyed our afternoon with him and seeing the real Maderia. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Madeira as a must do trip.

We had an unforgettable tour of Nun’s Valley with Adventure Trikes Madeira, guided by the fantastic Garth. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, scenic, and packed with fascinating insights. Garth’s knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and history brought the landscape to life—he clearly has a deep love for Madeira and its natural beauty.
The trike ride itself was exhilarating yet comfortable, offering panoramic views that you just can’t get from a car. One of the highlights was our stop for chestnut beer and cheesecake—such a delicious and authentic touch that made the day even more special.

Fantastic experience and guide. Lots of history and insights about the island and great recommendations. We really appreciated how well we were looked after and the photos taken of us at no charge was a real bonus. Would recommend wearing long trousers and long sleeve top as it can get chilly higher up even with a jacket off. Our only regret was it was over too soon. It would be great if a longer trip was offered as well as we didn’t want to get off !

Wonderful experience, the best way to see the real Madeira . The sights and smells of the forest were incredible. The ride was comfortable and so much fun . Our guide could not do enough and let us choose how long at each stop we stayed. Highly recommended. Would do it again or have a longer experience next time .

It’s a brilliant mode of travel as you feel more connected with your environment. A really enjoyable and interesting trip. John was a knowledgeable and great guide, and an expert trike rider. Visited the Nun’s valley, and got to find out about the history of the area and sew some very scenic sites, both from the top and in the valley itself.

John our guide was superb, very knowledgeable. We opted to go to the Valley of the Nuns spectacular views ,the ride gives you the opportunity of smelling the natural fauna of the pine and eucalyptus trees, just stunning. Lovely stop for coffee and cake again with stunning views overlooking the amazing gorge and viewpoints .Highly recommend.

Our experience from booking to end were very well organisedand friendly, Garth Picked us up from outside the Ronaldo hotel and asked us what we wanted to do, he was a fabulous guide and very knowledgeable, about the area. We had a thrilling and picturesque ride on his trike, and would highly recommend both the company and Garth, we visited the Miradouro view point, that was very popular with the coach companies, then we went up to the Nuns valley and had time to walk right up to the top on our own.... Well worth the steps up stunning place. Then we went to the small village of Sabores de Curral, that is famous for it's chestnut beer and cheesecake ...it did not disappoint.
Garth then asked us if we wanted to be dropped off at the ship, and as we had docked unexpectedly the night before we said yes as we have been to Funchal a few times now and had seen all we would have wanted on this trip the night before.
We had thought to take coats and I had gloves but Garth did offer us some coates n gloves as the change in temperature as you go high up can be much colder.
A Fabulous 3 Hours and the memories will stay with us for a very long time 🥰🥰

John our guide was a top fella , very friendly , knowledgeable and helpful.
John picked us up from Ronaldo’s hotel a ten minute walk from the cruise terminal and was on time.
He took us down to the old town, Churchill bay and Cabo Girao (one of the highest cliffs in the world with a viewing balcony /cafe etc).
The 3 hour schedule is not set in stone if there’s somewhere you would like to see on the island John would take you …. He asked us if there was anywhere specially we wanted to go.
The Motor trike its self was a cool vehicle and we felt very safe on board….
John even took pictures of us at some of the landmarks and WhatsApp them over to us which was very kind of him.
Would highly recommend 5 stars …
Thanks John if we are ever back in Madeira we will sure to be in touch…

Goth gave us amazing tour. It was such a rush going up the mountains on a bike. He explained the areas of Funchal and gave us lots of time for pics on our stops. He also made a point to take wonderful pics and also stop for drinks and snacks.

Had a wonderful experience yesterday with Geoff (not sure of spelling). Hit the most scenic spots on the westside. Sampled some Mediera and Poncho. Also learned a bit about the beautiful island. The ride there and back to our Hotel could not have been more scenic. Oohs and AHHS from both me and my husband. Highly recommend.
