It was a short van ride from Lucca to a beautiful vineyard where we had a tour of the grounds, then a tour of the wine cellars. Lastly we had a fun wine tasting with cheese, meat and breads. It was great meeting people from other countries on the tour. The host and the tour guides were the best part of the experience!

Excellent tour. Family business, lovely staff, done with a small group. The vineyard is very close to Lucca and the wine is spectacular. Would definitely recommend.

Picked up locally by Raffaele our guide and taken to a small family vineyard run by Francesco. We were the only 3 on the tour so it felt like we were on a private tour which was great. We were shown the vines and how the wine was made and bottled and had some fantastic food whilst sampling plenty of wine. There is no hard sell but you can buy some bottles to take home or arrange to have some shipped home.
Raffaele was a great guide and recommended some restuarants and even phoned and booked a table for us.
I would recommed this tour.

Tomasso was WONDERFUL! Everything about the vineyard and farm and it’s history was explained so perfectly. This vineyard is owned by a family that has been growing grapes since 1896. They completely do the wine-making by hand, and it’s organic. There are 4 wines you try with a tagliere of meats, cheese, and bread. The wine was delicious! Tommaso had us each introduce ourselves on the van so instead of being talked at, we became acquainted with each other. It was so much fun because we were from all over the world and it was a wonderful way to get to know each other. I’ve been on other wine tours and they simply don’t touch the experience I had this time! Grazie mille, Tomasso!!!

The winery experience was great. Mario was a great driver and gave us an overview of Lucca as he drive us to the winery. Giacomo, the owner of the winery, was very informative and gave us a great overview of the growing process as well as how they make the wine. He then let us sample 5 of his wines and told us the background on how each wine was made as well as the story behind each one. It was a very intimate experience with me, my husband and 1 other couple. There were small bites of food specifically to be paired with each of the wines. We had a great time and highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting a small family winery in the heart of Tuscany.

Great experience starting with a walk in the vineyard then a tour through their winemaking process by owner Francesco. He then invited us to sit and enjoy his wines accompanied by some delicious food. We tasted white, orange, and red wines, most award-winning. Very enjoyable day.

We had a delightful experience. It commenced with our convenient pick-up within the walls of Lucca. They graciously drove us around the walls, providing us with a concise history of Lucca. The winery was a mere 10 minutes away. It is a charming, family-run establishment. The knowledgeable workers guided us through the process, and afterward, we were all seated at a long table with our wine samples and snacks before us.

Our guide was an hour late. The guide was great. But we got 3 small glasses of wine. The hole group thought it was very overpriced for what we got to experience. Been to multiple wineries, but this was not a as good experience.

Hello and thanks for the feedback.
We never did a delay of an hour in our hole career. That’s not possible at all.
Furthermore, we called the assistance of Viator trying to understand when this person have done the tour, but they answered that they cannot find it.
So for those who are reading this review: there must be a mistake, this feedback is not relevant to reality.

What an experience, this wine tasting! But the great thing was that this is much more than a wine tasting. Our guide, the super nice Tommaso, told us a lot of interesting things about the history of Lucca and how it relates to the winemakers in the region on the way to the Tuscan hills of Lucca. A born storyteller! We really learned a lot about Lucca and local wine. It was a fantastic trip that we thoroughly enjoyed!

Tommi was the best host. He really got across the feeling and romance behind small production vineyards. The wine was superb as was the accompanying food. But the day was all about the atmosphere of the place and the story of the family behind the wine production.
I would highly recommend both Tommi and the tour. It was great fun.

This was a wonderful tour - our guide Raffaele was very knowledgeable. We were a group of 9 people (this was a private tour) and staying in a Villa in the countryside outside of Lucca, and the tour operators went out of their way to collect us directly from our Villa in a minibus, even though it was in the complete opposite direction from Lucca to the vineyard. The vineyard itself was a beautifully run family business and we experienced sunset in the vines sipping wine and snacking on homegrown produce.

We have never been tp a wine tasting, and this one was the perfect start of it! We were picked up in Lucca at a meeting point which was easily findable and then brought to the vinyeard! Wonderful staff, extraordinary tasting and breathtaking view! Definitely worth it!

The whole experience was memorable from start to finish. Raffaele was knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining. Francesca was delightful and we learned a lot about organic wine and vineyards. The wine tasting was perfect and so different from tastings in the US. It was a gorgeous day in a small, family owned vineyard in Tuscany sharing food and wine with family and friends. The day was a gift, wrapped up in sunshine, memorable wines and good food shared with people I love that will always be a cherished memoey
