An excellent guide, very informative (on 18 July 2025). Super visit to vineyard in the Tuscan hills which was in the most gorgeous setting. Fabulous wines, good company and glorious scenery. Couldn’t be better.

The Chianti wine your was a fabulous day out from Lucca. Our tour guide, Emilia was very friendly and knowledgeable about the region and the wine. The winery was in a beautiful setting in the Tuscany hills. Maria made the tour very interesting and we enjoyed tasting the lovely wines. Great day out.

Great visit to a family run winery. Small group tour with Emilia at the helm who was very knowledgeable, friendly and a great tour guide. The wines were fabulous and matched with perfect snacks. A great half day tour.

Our driver was so friendly and informative and got everyone in good spirits on the journey there. The tour of the winery was really interesting and not too long. The setting for the tasting was magnificent and our tour guide was really fantastic. After the tasting we could relax in the tuecan sun in the beautiful settings of the estate whilst enjoying another complimentary glass of wine. In summary, fantastic value for money and would highly recommend.

We were a little lost to be at the rendezvous but our driver Luigi made the effort to come and find us, The journey to the vineyard was made interesting by Luigi’s knowledge and once we arrived the tour we were on was both interesting and professionally conducted by our guide, she too was excellent. Food and of course, wine, which was plentiful, also great. All in all a wonderful experience for us all, thanks guys

I went solo as my partner had a work conflict - there were 15 of us total in two buses. We stopped to check out the wine grapes and even got to try them. Then we got tours of the cellars and then got to the tasting. My favorite part was how shy and timid everyone was to start - started with the rosé and I won’t spoil the rest. Let’s just say by the time we were on the 3rd or 4th bottle everyone was chatting and the place was as loud as a restaurant. Unbelievable experience and the bus ride home was filled with music played by the guests of the tour. My favorite excursion so far! Thank you Massimio and everyone involved

Nice tour - modifications needed

It was indeed a nice trip with a friendly driver. However, we visited only 1 winery even though the description said two. The experience at the winery was very good, with interesting information and nice tastings of wine and food. Another minus was that we went along with two kids at the age of 2 and almost 5. Of course no wine should be prepared for them, however no food was prepared for them even though we paid more than half the price per person for them. The description of the tour should be modified so expectations would be aligned.

Lovely tour of the beautiful Daniella organic winery, which is housed in the former hunting lodge of the Medici family. Tour was very interesting, wine was delicious and we were provided with a light lunch. Grounds were spectacular. Then a bonus stop in the village of Vinci, birthplace and childhood home of Leonardo. Our guide, Emilia, was full of life and delightful … we all loved her. Five stars to this one!

Not worth wasting a day

We booked the tour because the description said we would go to 2 wineries. We got picked up at 9:30 and shortly thereafter told that we were doing one winery because our tour was a 4 hour tour, even though the description said 5 hours. We drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to a winery. The wine there was IGT wine and the owner was smug and condescending. He treated us like we were just there to get drunk and was quite dismissive with questions or comments. The tour guide was also rude and told one of our tour mates that "once she grows up she will like red wine". She also repeatedly would start an argument about what tour we were on and I ended up telling her that her repeated conflict was disruptive to me being able to enjoy the tour at all. The tour ended up being over 6 hours long, which interfered with our evening plans and definitely contradicted our guides claim that we were only doing one winery because it was a 4 hour trip. I have taken some wine tours with other companies and have had no issues with having the tour that was expected and having a lovely time. I would recommend booking elsewhere.

First of all, I want to apologize if you did not enjoy yourselves on the wine tour. If I understood correctly, your main complaint was that the tour consisted of the fact you reserved a 2 wineries tour instead of just one winery tour. Unfortunately this is something we checked and we confirm you reserved an half day wine tour which includes one winery. What you booked is exactly what you have done. In your words, you write about an IGT wine which is included in the wine tasting. You tried 5 different glasses of wine which include: Chianti, Chianti Reserve (aged), White wine (Chardonay), IGT wine (the famous SuperTuscan). We are really sorry that you thought our tour guide was rude, but this has never happened before. Maybe this was the impression she gave after she received many pression to visit two wineries instead of one. About the timing, we investigated and on that occasion, there was a lot of traffic to pass from Lucca to the Chianti area. For this reason and in order to give you the same itinerary we extended the tour. In your words we don't understand because at first it seems you wanted to stay more and then you thought you had been on the tour too much. This tour is a Chianti Wine Tour that takes place in the Chianti wine region. I'm sorry if you do not like the wine, however this tour is a wine tour of the region, to taste the local wines produced here. Real wineries which allow you to see a side of real Tuscany. I do truly appreciate your time and feedback and overall I am very sorry if you did not enjoy your time. From what I understood, it sounds like you were disappointed strongly about the one winery, but everybody on the same tour knew exactly what was included and maybe it could be that you confused a tour for another. Thank you and I hope some of the clarifications help.

Informative and interesting visit in beautiful location. The wine was excellent, would have liked to have bought some to bring home but luggage allowances didn’t allow unfortunately. Accompanying lunch was also excellent. Would recommend to anyone with an interest in good wine without hesitation. Wish we could buy it in UK.

Highlight of our Tuscany experience

Had a fantastic time with our group for the half day wine tasting. Went to a beautiful, informative, and delicious tasting in Montecarlo and had the chance to visit the town afterwards. It was not harvest season, but Massimo did a fantastic job of explaining the process. He was SO dynamic and wonderful to interact with, quickly knew all of us by name and really immersed us in the experience, making sure everyone became fast friends. It was absolutely the highlight of our trip.

A birthday in Tuscan Heaven

We were met promptly at the arranged time by Emilia, our wonderful guide, and a Enrico our driver. The van was very comfortable for our trip to Altopascio, a beautiful town on a hillside famous for its delicious bread. Our guide gave us lots of historical, geographical and cultural information about our surroundings and destination. Emilia was quite funny, remembered all our names, and was a lively - and lovely addition to our adventure. After going on to Montecarlo and the nearby organic winery, we had a fantastic welcome from the staff and workers. A very informative tour began by Emilia was continued as we toured the winery and saw how the production of their 6 wines was done. A great set up for seated tastings among the barrels of wine was accompanied by explanations of each wine and how our food pairing might best be enjoyed. It was fun, intimate, well organized and a wonderful value. Afterwards a tour of the vineyards and photos was followed by a trip back to Lucca. I thought the tour was well organized, Emilia and a Enrico were wonderful guides, and the staff at the winery were friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone and would go again myself.

Excellent day out. High praise for the two tour operators for their enthusiasm and professionalism . Nothing was too much trouble . They gathered us all together, a small group of about 12 into two vehicles.......a slight hiccup finding some of the group but they did so with humour and had us all laughing. We were from as far as Iceland to Australia and as well as the i wine we enjoyed the company. The vineyard was beautiful and the wine and food just delicious. Well done Emilia and Antonio.
