This is a lovely tour through the streets of old Lucca. We were able to try Lucca specialities like buccaletta and tradelli with a guide who is from Lucca.

Don't eat before you start! Everything was delicious, but by the time we got to the gelato we were stuffed. Our guide was knowledgeable, and, when we asked a question to which she didn't know the answer, she would call her brother. 😊

Simply wonderful!! The guide Annalisa was spectacular. Knowledgeable, friendly...made us feel like we were walking with an old friend. Food was incredible. For 3 hours we didn't feel like tourists...just wandering with a friend.

What a fantastic time we had on our food tour with Annalisa, ended up as a private tour as we were the only booking which was fantastic what an experience. Annalisa was so knowledgeable and it felt like being out with an old friend as if we had picked up from our last meeting and we are both glad to say that is how it ended leaving a new old friend after a wonderful time spent together. Very good experience we shared this with another couple and it was very social. Giadanno was an excellent guide who gave us an insight to the history of Lucca and the connection of the foods relative to when, why they are important in the diets still today.

A tour is only as good as the guide. We were lucky to have TIZIANA, who put her heart into showing us LUCCA. We learned the history, saw the main sites and enjoyed local cuisine and drink. TIZIANA made the tour interesting and fun. The pace was relaxed and we could sit, eat and talk. TIZIANA became a friend by tour end.

Denial was very knowledgeable about the area, history and the food. Very relaxed tour around some great food stops that we will revisit. She also helped us book at one place for our anniversary lunch. Definitely recommend Denia as a superb host and guide.

We enjoyed our foodie tour in Lucca. We went to five places, 3 savory and 2 sweet. Our host Marta was friendly and easy going, she pointed out local places to visit. The tour was about three hrs. We did not feel rushed. Two other women joined us.

Nicoletta guided us through Lucca as we tasted the local specialties including pecorino, cured meats, tordelli , cecina, and buccellato. We also enjoyed a glass of local wine and tastes of 3 chocolates. Nicoletta pointed out various places of interest and took us though a section of the city’s amazing walls.

Our guide, Dasha, was fantastic! She found us right on time and warmly welcomed us. She os a warm and friendly person, able and willing to answer any questions.
All the food stops were excellent and the foos delicious. Although it was too cool for gelato, the Italian hot chocolate was a delectable substitute.
This was a great value in my opinion.

Alessandra led our small group through a tasting experience that was both delicious and informative. It was a fabulous experience, starting with generous charcuterie and then a stop in a family-style place we would never have found on our own where we sampled generous portions of tordellli, a local speciality of meat-filled pasta. Afterwards, it was on to sampling of Ceci, garbanzo flat bread, buccellato, a sweet raisin bread and finally, portions of the best gelato ever. All along, we learned bits about the city’s history and culture. What a delight! This was a wonderful experience and I’d recommend it highly.

Excellent mix of city information and food and how the two meld together to create Luca’s rich history. Sacha was an awesome guide who put the whole group at ease, asked thoughtful questions and was very flexible for the group to move at its own pace (3 babies and one 5 year old in the group). All of the food stops were excellent and she did a great job in ensuring both parties in the group were comfortable with one another. Thanks for a great experience, Sasha!

Very enjoyable foodie tour. Alessandra, our guide, was very gracious and spoke amazing English. We had five stops and visited a few sites in Lucca. We stopped for pasta at a restaurant under the wall-very cool. We could tell the stops were well planned.
