Sara our guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, warm, kind and engaged. Perfect amount of time for the tour. She provided many useful tips on places to go, things to do. Her favorite lunch spot was spot on!

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and communicated very well. However, the tour group size was too large. We had a difficult time hearing our guide because of this.

Thanks Terri for this feedback. Usually our groups are small. Unexpectedly, it happend to have a lot of people walking in: we couldn't find a last minute second guide and we didn't want to send people away.

This was a good tour with a knowledgeable guide BUT it would have been so much better if she had used headphones. She was quite softly spoken and unfortunately we missed quite a bit of information as we were moving around the city. It was also raining which really exacerbated the problem. Also she often started talking when the group was not together. Shame, as she was nice and the information really interesting.

Unfortunately, for such a low rate tour, it's impossible to include headphones.
I add that our groups are always very small: yours was composed by 12 partecipants only.

Nice walk in the city. Maria explains very well the history and the architecture of the city, underlying the role and the importance of local communities.
Maybe the tour requires more than 2 hours to avoid rushes and give more times to pictures and questions.
We appreciated especially the tour inside the cathedral.

This specific tour is conceived to give an overall view of the town, its history and contemporary lifestyle with a guided tour inside its most iconic monument: St Martin's Cathedral.
We are happy and proud you liked the tour!
2 hours tour is a reasonable compromise of time we reckon for this purpose, keeping in mind passed suggestions, requests and reviews made by those who have participated and of course taking on account our years experience.
Of course 2 hours are not enough for those who want to go deeper inside history and art, that's why we also offer other private guided tours based on individual requests and specific agreements. Hope you will join a private tour in the future! :)

Very good walking tour of the old city Luca. Excellent overview of the history and sites along the way…gave us lots of ideas for further visits. Roped the day off with a classical music concert in the cathedral, which was free.

The tour was decent but covered just a few sites. For a 2 hour tour I expected more coverage than just 2 blocks. While I was glad to have a local guide, I felt it somewhat difficult to understand her accent. Might have been my issue…

We've been guide by Mrs. Nadia through the history, places and habits of Lucca. Mrs. Nadia has been nice and able to focus our attention to the many beauties of this town. There's been really much to learn and two hours passed quickly. Without this tour we would have notice and retained just a small portion of what we've got by this experience. Inspiring!

The guide was nice. She talked a lot. We did not have earphones so she only spoke when we stopped walking which was most of the time. If she had microphone or earphone system like other guides we could hear better and still see a lot more. Could have been much better.

thanks for your feedback and for the suggestion.
We usually have small groups (around 20 people), so microphone or headphone are not necessary as our guides have strong voice.
Furthermore we think that stopping during the walking tour is a plus, as the guide can show the 'must see' of the city and can look people in their eyes creating a more personal relationship that makes our tour different from a flat, anonymous one, where one never sees the guide in face :)
