This class was a highlight on my recent trip. I have always wanted to take a cooking class in Italy and this was just perfect. Antoinetta was the best teacher and hostess possible. We learned how to make several Italian dishes just the way her mother taught her. I especially enjoyed that fact that we were learning in her home and then sat down to eat a 5 course Italian dinner with her. The cost of this class is a bargain and the experience was amazing.

The Perfect Pasta Course

Stephanie_H, Feb 2026
Don't eat before you go, as you might not be able to manage the fabulous food! It's a fabulous introduction to real Italian pasta cooking. Very high quality ingredients, and a wonderful very experienced teacher. Such a welcoming family. Antonella and Piero are just delightful.

A true Tuscan Farmhouse Dining Experience.

From the moment you arrive there's a feeling your in for something special. Upon entering the home of Antonietta you're made to feel like family. The session starts with a sit-down at the family table with a glass of locally produced white wine and a conversation about what to expect from the class and how things are going to progress. Under Antonietta's watchful eye we made fresh pasta, a simple yet delicious sauce and toppings for bruschetta. Once the pasta rolling and prep work is complete, you are sat down at a family sized dining room table and treated to wonderful antipasti and accompaniments that are made by Antonietta, her Italian cowboy husband Piero or local artisans. All this while the pasta and sauce that you created are being cooked in the family kitchen, Once the sauce is ready, the pasta is put into boiling water to finish the cooking process, within a couple of minutes of being put into the water, the pasta is drained and mixed with the sauce to complete the marriage of this traditional Tuscan dish. The dinner is served family style with ample white and red locally sourced wines and freshly baked breads. All while being entertained with stories of local legend told by Antonietta and Piero (mostly thru a translator, but, none of the magic is lost). We left the experience with full stomachs and a desire to return to visit and share a meal with our new Tuscan family.

Fantastic!

A must do!! Everything was wonderful. The cooking class gave a lot of great instruction and tips. The hostess, host and translator were amazing! An overall great experience!!

Wonderful experience

Truly the highlight of our trip, we were so happy we booked this experience afterwards! It felt almost like we were at home, visiting our family, such a personal and warm experience, where you get to know the raw traditions of this region, while spending time with such beautiful people, ready to open their hearts to everyone that steps into their home. It was a hands-on activity, and we did learn a lot of tips and tricks on the Italian way of cooking, besides all the literal sweating while making the pasta dough 😂 We had so much fun and felt so close to Antoinetta and Pietro, Benedetta, and each other. I totally recommend this cooking class!

Creating wonderful Memories made with Love!

Antonietta was amazing in every way. She is the sweetest person and even though she only spoke Italian and my granddaughters and I only English, we felt as if we had known each other as lifelong friends. Her husband, Piero, was great to prepare the beautiful outdoor dining area and helped make the class a truly wonderful experience. We made handmade pasta, sauce and bruschetta that was so yummy. We all sat and ate our meal together and relaxed while enjoying each other's company and a delicious meal prepared from scratch. They had an interpreter, Kate, who was precious. I recommend highly!!

Great Experience

Highlight of our trip!

Jessica_M, Sep 2023
This cooking class was by far one of the highlights of our trip. My husband and I visited Italy for our honeymoon and both knew we wanted to do a cooking class. While we didn't entirely know what to expect (there are so many cooking class offerings) we were blown away at how incredible it was! We were very lucky that it was just us for the event which allowed us to have great conversation (with the help of our superb translator, Francesca) and the loveliest time. Highly HIGHLY recommend this event for anyone considering a hands-on cooking class!

Amazing Local Pasta Making Experience!

Josh_B, Oct 2022
Absolutely amazing local cooking experience! Learning how to make pasta with a sweet Italian grandma was a memory we will not forget. Highly recommend this cooking class to anyone considering it. It takes place in their beautiful home on their Italian cowboy ranch property. Everything is local and extremely fresh, you will not leave hungry!

Wonderful and Authenticate Italian Experience

Rita G, Oct 2019
This cooking class was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Not only did we learn how to make pasta, but we had a delightful Italian feast with our hosts. Antonietta and her crew were a sheer delight and we felt like family by the time we left her home four and half hours later. I am recommending this experience to all my friends and hope to go back for another class in the years ahead.

Fabulous cooking experience

Beverley_C, Oct 2019
This cooking experience was one of the highlights of our trip. It was great to actually cook in the host (Antonietta)'s home in a traditional atmosphere where we learnt to make pasta by hand under her careful guidance and then sit down to a 3 course meal with wine which included the pasta we had made. There were 9 of us and it really felt like we were having a lunch with friends.

Memories made to last a lifetime

This particular evening served to be our most favorable during the two week trip to Italy. The location is fantastic. The hospitality is genuine and we just couldn’t rave enough about this experience. If we could rate it higher than a “5”, it would be a solid “10”. Don’t miss out!

A Day in the Country

We were hosted by Antonieta and Pietro. They were an absolute joy. So welcoming. Our translator Luchresia was so nice also. We did our cooking class and then had a wonderful meal. We truly felt like we were one of the family. I would definately recommend this experience.

This was a fun filled evening. Antoniette is a supurb cook. The evening was great fun, and we felt like we have always known them. Can't wait to try making the pasta ourselves. This was a highlight of our trip.

We visited Antionetta and her husband during our honeymoon in July. This was without a doubt the highlight of the whole trip. It was only my wife and I and we felt so welcome and comfortable with Antionetta and her husband. We made fresh pasta and helped pick fresh vegetables in their own garden. The voucher claims the whole experience is about 3 hours but we stayed and chatted to Antionetta and her husband for about 5 hours. We enjoyed it so much that we are looking at going back with our parents. We highly recommend this to anyone who wants to feel like a typical Italian for a night and wants to try some genuine local cuisine that you help make yourself. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

This cooking class was fantastic and better than expected. Anto was so warm and engaging and made us all feel at home. We made fresh pasta, fresh tomato sauce with herbs. We were given a tour of the farm and as we were cooking a number of her neighbors dropped in to say hello. You really got to feel the rhythm of an italian country neighborhood. We had a 4 course meal with lots of wine and even desert wine!!! There were 6 people in the class and everyone got involved in the process. Highly recommend the experience. Glad we did the lunch session since we were there for 5 hours!

We arrived an hour early to make sure we could find it, since we had to drive there. There was a mix-up, the tour company told them we were to be there for the lunch lesson. Our printout confirmed the dinner lesson I choose. We ended up being the only couple, at first we were very nervous, but that quickly passed since the family made us feel at home even if there was a language barrier. There was an interpreter, so that made it easy. The only hands on part was the pasta. We watched how the bruschetta and sauce was made. Dinner was delicious! It was one of the best meals we had in Italy! We had Bruschetta, meat and cheese, bread, pasta, meat balls, and desert. Antonietta gave us a sweet parting gift.

Amazing, highlight of our Lucca stay. Antonietta made us feel like family in her lovely home. We enjoyed learning how to make bruschetta and a traditional fresh pasta dish, as part of a typical Italian family meal. Our interrupter, Lucrezia, did a wonderful job making conversation very easy. We hope to visit with Antonietta and her family on a return trip and make another meal together!

We learnt how to make pasta, then cooked and ate it as part of a lovely dinner. We would have liked to learn how to cook a couple of other simple recipes at the same time. The cook was very good - recommend the experience. As the villa is about 5kms from Lucca some form of transport is necessary - we had a hire car so was not a problem.

It was a lovely evening with Chef Antonietta and her family. Because there were only 2 of us for this evening we felt we had a very personal experience and good conversation! We made pasta and some meat and had it with the sauce she had already prepared. All delicious!
