Your visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour begins with departure from London by double-decker bus for the drive from the city to the town of Watford in Hertfordshire, where the studio is located. Hop out of the coach and head inside to immerse yourself in all things Harry Potter.
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter allows you to walk around independently to see real sets used in the Harry Potter movies, including the Great Hall and Dumbledore’s office. Check out the storefronts of Flourish and Blotts, Ollivanders wand shop, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, and Eeylops Owl Emporium as you explore Diagon Alley, pretending that Harry, Hermione, and Ron are right by your side.
Learn about the special effects and makeup that brought spells and beloved characters like Dobby to the screen, and see costumes and props used by the actors. Don’t-miss photo ops abound, so don’t forget to charge your camera!
Your experience ends at Platform 9 ¾ , where you can pose with a luggage cart as it disappears into the wall and enjoy an up-close view of the original Hogwarts Express train, whose 78-year-old engine billows steam. Then make the drive back to London to conclude your tour of the magic of moviemaking.

Bus arrival and departure were on time. WiFi, earplug and Harry Potter movies were provided onboard (but WiFi was not very fast, and movies had to be played from the first episode). Studio tickets were provided by the bus driver and we could get in with no problem (no reservation was needed).

We got on the first bus and the seats were hard and uncomfortable. We enjoyed the Harry Potter studios and their food was tasty. The second bus that brought us back to London had padded seats and very comfortable.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the Harry Potter Studios and the food. We’re sorry to hear the first bus was uncomfortable, but we’re pleased the return journey was better. We appreciate your comments and will use them to improve future experiences.

A great look behind the scenes, crowd-control in place, a bit too much in the first 2 rooms, but great exploration after.

It was fantastic set up really well enjoyed, the tour was captivating all the way around and with care half way helped. The lovely tour guide at the studio for golden tours kept making sure we were ok as it was very cold lovely lady

Bus ride was clean and safe! They played the Harry Potter movie on the way there and on the way back- my only piece of advice is to bring a pair of headphones that can plug into the tv they don’t provide any headphones so you can’t hear the movie otherwise! Harry Potter studios tour is incredible if you’re a Harry Potter fan! Def recommend this!! We loved it!
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the bus ride and the Harry Potter Studios tour. We appreciate your helpful tip about bringing headphones for the onboard movie—it’s sure to help future travelers. We’re thrilled you had a memorable experience and hope to welcome you on another tour soon!

This experience is a true must for any Harry Potter fan. The bus brings you right to the front doors of Warner Bros Studio and I couldn’t have been happier with the tour itself. Warner Bros Studio has everything Harry Potter and it was magical to be able to see all the props and sets from the actual movies themselves.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Harry Potter tour and that getting to Warner Bros. Studio was so convenient. It’s wonderful that you were able to immerse yourself in the magic of the sets and props from the movies. We hope the memories you made will stay with you for a long time!

Good bus ride. Could buy audio tour once we got there but honestly I wish we hadn't -- there is soooooo much to see/listen/do while you are there. It's almost info overload. If you just explore the sets on your own (and read the info posted), you learn everything you need.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the bus ride and the studio experience. You’re right—there’s a lot to take in, and sometimes exploring at your own pace and reading the on-site information is the best way to enjoy everything without feeling overwhelmed. We appreciate you sharing your perspective!

Booking is easy. Studio tour is worth it if you are a fan. The tickets are staggered so not overwhelmed with crowds.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for your review! We’re glad you found the booking process easy and enjoyed the studio tour. Staggered entry is designed to make the experience more comfortable, so it’s great to hear it worked well for you.

Magical experience with several behind the scenes tours. A must-do for all Potter-heads. The transit and admissions experience was very smooth, in spite of it being the weekend. Just to manage expectations - this is a tour, not an adventure park with rides, etc.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for your review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the behind-the-scenes experience and that the transit and admissions ran smoothly. We appreciate your note about the tour format, as it helps future guests set the right expectations.

Bus left on time!
Went by myself but didn't feel alone! Was really excited to see everything and only regret a little bit 🤏🏾 that I didn't take any of the green screen pictures but would absolutely go again.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re so glad to hear you felt comfortable and enjoyed the tour, even going solo. We’ll take note about the green screen photos—hopefully next time you’ll get the chance to snap a few! We’d be delighted to welcome you back on another tour soon.

The bus was on-time with plenty of seating available. It wasn't too hard to find and we just got right on. There was a whole thing in the emails about redeeming your voucher but it was all at the same spot when we got on the bus. The studio tour itself was just incredible and well-worth it. It's very tightly controlled, however, so you need to make sure you're ready to go in (because you can't go back out), and ready to leave each section. Even the shops in certain parts of the tour have unique or exclusive items. There is a place to eat before you enter that has a different menu than the restaurant about halfway through the studio. The timing ended up being quite tight for us and we had to rush through the rest of the exhibits after eating. That's by far my biggest issue is that there wasn't enough time allotted by the bus to spend there. We could have used another 1-2 hours at the studio. I'm not sure if there are other tour options that have a more flexible departure time, they all seemed to give you about 4 hours there, which just wasn't enough. The bus was supposed to be air conditioned but on the way back they turned it off as it got too cold downstairs. That left the top of the bus very uncomfortable. The in-seat screens were also not working. And although the branded bus is cool to look at from the outside it actually makes it very hard to see outside, which I was interested in doing.
So in summary, anyone who is a Harry Potter fan should absolutely go to this studio tour, but try to find transportation with more flexible timing or more time at the studio itself. And plan your visit and your shopping carefully.

fun!!! Loved every minute of it. The ride was nice and smooth. Deff a must do if you are a Harry Potter fan.
Christine_M, Jul 2025
This was an easy, no stress way to see Harry Potter Studios. The coach leaves on time and the driver was great!
Tania_F, Jun 2025
Warner Brothers is great but the bus to the studio was late and they should tell people that if you get motion sickness you shouldn't sit on the top. The smell of vomit to Warner Brothers was unpleasant. To add to that discomfort the movie ended up pausing 10 mins into it and was never fixed. Same on the way back the bus was late and this time the volume was not on for movie so that was annoying. At least the motion sick family stayed on the main level.
Also it woukd have been nice to know that there would be multitudes of schools there doing their year end trips and also felt rushed to get back to the bus on time. When signing up for the tour we were told 4 hrs but when we finally got on the bus and out of London and once in the studios we had about 3 before having to be at the pick up point.
Again once at the studios, it was amazing to see the sets and everything.

Our teenagers loved this tour, as did mom and dad. Meeting point was easy to find. Make sure to try the butter beer!
Angela_B, Jun 2025
It was fantastic and even better than I expected it would be. Worth every penny and then some. Nicely done

Having transportation made this easy with kids! This isn’t a “tour” - you’re paying for transportation to/from city center in London to WB Studios HP. The price includes tickets to the studio. You can buy the HP tickets direct and drive or take public transportation. For us, we needed a specific day (direct tickets were sold out) so booking through Golden Tours was the next best option. Very happy with the transportation - it was easy to find and on time.

Warner Bros. Studio tour was fantastic. Nirvana for Harry Potter fans. But something we could have done on our own since the bus just drops you off and hands you your ticket. Unfortunately we never found the bus in London. The taxi driver my hotel called was not familiar with the address so we tried Uber who was also unsure but willing to try. We never did find the pick up point and ended up taking an Uber to the studio. The tour operator assured me if we got there by a certain time we could meet up and get our tickets. Our car was faster than the bus so we were able to get our tickets and a ride back to the city.
Shae_R, May 2025
Our family of "Potter-heads" thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The detail of the sets and props used were amazing! I would suggest going on a weekday, rather than a weekend, as it's very popular.
Rachael_C, May 2025
Great easy was to get too and from Warner Bros. And the venue was great.
The bus trip could have been improved by either some sort of commentary or engagement to help make the extra cost worthwhile.
Michael_G, Mar 2025
I have to say that this was one of the best tours I have been on. Pretty seemless and very much enjoyable. Definitely worth it!
Jessica_F, Feb 2025
There were no signs or a desk, just a very rude guide with a jacket that said Golden Tours. When I tried to ask a question, he told me to come back 15 minutes before the booking, and he would answer any questions. I explained that it made me nervous, and I wanted to make sure I had my group at the correct place before then, since there were no signs or information anywhere, and fifteen minutes isn't long to move a big group, if we were in the wrong place. I simply asked if the tour departed from where we were, and he grumbled yes as he stomped off. Then, when I finally did check in, I told him we were going to be missing one person from our group. Rather than listening, he tried to cancel an entire booking for 9 people. Overall, rude, would not listen or answer any questions. No signs, or information, overall, not a great experience.
Response from Host, Feb 2025
We sincerely apologize for the experience you had. Providing clear communication and friendly customer service is very important to us, and we regret that this was not what you encountered. Your feedback regarding the lack of signage and the behavior of our staff is extremely valuable, and we will be addressing this internally to ensure better clarity and service moving forward.
We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we apologize for any stress or inconvenience this caused you and your group. If there’s anything we can do to make it right, please feel free to reach out.
John_D, Feb 2025
The most amazing experience for Harry Potter fans. Huge displays of props and costumes. Interactive experiences and demonstrations through multiple sets. Not to mention the fantastic food. The entire experience will take your breath away.
Response from Host, Feb 2025
Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that you had an amazing experience and that the props, costumes, and interactive exhibits made it truly magical. It’s great to know you also enjoyed the fantastic food!
We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable visit soon!
Monica_S, Feb 2025
The experience is definitely 5 stars, I highly recommend.
The time planned by the tour operator was not enough, it would have been advisable to have at least 2 hours more.
Response from Host, Feb 2025
Glad to hear you had a 5-star experience! It’s great feedback about the timing—sometimes a little extra time can make all the difference. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Aimee_S, Feb 2025
I went solo, but in a way, glad I did! I got to geek out independently! No judgement or trying to keep up with another family member or friend. The experience amazed me at ever turn! I wouldn’t have rented the audio if I were to do it again. When you are as big of a fan as me, it distracts from the real speakers inside. I will do this again when they change things up seasonally. Be aware it is 1.5 hours from Virginia Station!
Response from Host, Feb 2025
It sounds like you had an amazing time, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It’s great that you were able to fully immerse yourself in the experience without distractions. And I totally get what you mean about the audio—sometimes just soaking in the atmosphere and listening to the live speakers can be much more enriching. I’ll also keep in mind the travel time from Virginia Station—it’s good to know in advance for future plans. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Shawn_P, Feb 2025
The bus ride to the attraction took an hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival, we were given a wristband with “18:45” printed on it and told the bus would return at 1845. We went to the bus stop about 10 minutes early. At 1846, a bus (across the street from the bus stop) started its’s engine and pulled around to the bus stop. It departed at 1701. It would have been nice to know this, to avoid standing in the cold. Harry Potter World was great. If I were to go again, I would avoid a tour operator. I would purchase my entrance tickets and take a bus or train. It would be considerably cheaper and allow more flexibility. The studio tickets are £56. The tour was close to £100
Response from Host, Feb 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed Harry Potter World but regret that the timing and experience with the return bus were not as expected. Your comments on communication and flexibility are valuable, and we'll be sure to pass them along to improve future experiences. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

I wasn't very keen on going to this outing, but wow - I'm so glad I did! The WB Studio tour was nothing short of amazing. The actual sets from the movies! The props. The special effects. The clothes. The secrets of filming. Really really really well done.
The bus from Victoria station was convenient and easy. Highly recommend!!!
Lisa_G, Sep 2024
Loved it. Can not recommend this tour highly enough. Made us want to watch the movies all over again.
