Thrilling to see a historical site. Funny that you can see it from the highway. The walk was easy and flat to do if you chose. Shuttle ran continuously. Dining had many options.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your lovely review. We’re delighted you enjoyed visiting such a historic site and appreciated how accessible it is, even from the highway. It’s great to hear the walk was easy, the shuttle service convenient, and the dining options met your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again.

The driver, Kul, was very knowledgeable and informative. I really appreciated everything ge told us about things we drove past and other things to do in London. I also like the information he gave us about Stonehenge. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!

Convenient pickup and drop off and comfortable coach ride. Incidentally a young man was motion sick on the journey in the seat behind me, but driver and staff assured he had what was needed to minimize the problem.

This was a great tour so much information. The ride is long so if you do the morning like I did you can get some sleep. Must see. This was my 3rd time in London and my family decided to do the tour.
Elana_S, Mar 2026
The bus was comfortable. But you are basically on your own when you get there. Not worth the time for the trip in my view.
Teresa_C, Mar 2026
Excellent trip! Driver is very friendly and cares about safety. He was on time, a good driver, and managed the trip very professionally. He is a very hard worker. I am glad he was our guide. He did a great job! Highly recommend!

Narration to and from the 2 hour trip London - Stonehenge would have been nice. We passed a lot of things through London.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your suggestion regarding additional narration during the journey to and from Stonehenge. Our tours are designed so that the commentary primarily focuses on the main destination and key highlights, while the travel time is kept comfortable and relaxed for guests. Additionally, the route from London to Stonehenge follows major motorways with limited historic landmarks along the way.
That said, we value your input and will certainly review it as we continue to enhance the experience for our guests. Thank you for travelling with us.

Lucian was absolutely wonderful as a guide. The little snack given was actually more than I thought it would be. Stonehenge was beautiful.

The bus never showed at the meeting point given to us in the confirmation email, we therefore missed the tour. We are trying to get a refund, but no one is getting back to us. I will never use Viator again, nor will I recommend anyone else to use them.
melissa_d, Jan 2026
Excellent trip. Tour guides were perfect and knowledgeable. A must see when visiting England. Definitely worth the time and money.
MARINA_B, Jan 2026
Great trip with clear instructions and a great guide/driver. Kee was entertaining and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Larivhie_F, Dec 2025
The bus driver that took us to Stonehenge was quiet, so going to and from the location is more like a simple transport rather than a tour. The ventilation on the bus was not working, so it was a stuffy, uncomfortable 2 hour ride back and forth. Stonehenge itself is a great site, but it is self guided once you leave the bus. The snack provided was plenty, but I would not recommend providing the riders with anything containing onion jam.
Titawaty_B, Dec 2025
This is the right tour for you if you have limited time in the day but want to see the famous stonehenge!
AnnMarie_B, Dec 2025
The bus was right at the pinned location. Very organized, left on time, plenty of time at Stonehenge (which was fabulous despite it raining sideways!), the snack (sandwich, biscuits, apple, chips and water) was appreciated! Outside of the stones, the best part of the trip was Ashley our driver who gave funny commentary and useful info along the way! Yes it's a long trip but worth it to see this UNESCO site and bucket list location!
Nancy_B, Dec 2025
Seeing Stonehenge is a must do experience. Think about 3,500 or so years ago this group of people willing to work so hard for their deity! The interpretation guides are great to learn about what you’re seeing.
Emily_S, Nov 2025
Great experience getting to and visiting Stonehedge! We had plenty of time to go through the experience, and the travel bus was clean, a smooth ride with appropriate temperature controls. 10/10 recommend!
Aman_S, Nov 2025
Stonehenge is good but this tour from Golden travels is poor. I booked tours to Cotswold and Scottish highlands through viator with different providers and which was very good and their drivers shared their knowledge about places and relevant history. I will recommend booking Stonehenge trip with different operations. Also, their snack pack sucks.
Laurie_E, Nov 2025
Long drive for a short visit - plus the weather did not cooperate. The parking had changed from the last time we were there. Now you have to park far away and take a shuttle bus a couple miles to the drop off point. It is possible to walk but with it raining sideways due to the strong winds that was not an option. Our time would have been better spent staying in London.
William_S, Nov 2025
Nice scenery on the trip. Stonehenge was fabulous! People made it sound like the walk around the Stones would take an hour, but was less than 25 minutes unless you took lots of pics. The pathway was very comfortable to walk on. Nice gift shop, Cafeteria. Driver was excellent. Gave good advice.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the scenery and found Stonehenge fabulous. It’s great to know that the pathway was comfortable and that the driver was helpful with advice. We’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to the team. We hope to welcome you on another Golden Tours adventure soon!

First, the golden tours stop eight has only the one sign, and no other direction how to get there. Most tour buses start at Victoria station, but golden tours is across the street and a block up. We almost missed the bus. It’s a long drive to Stonehenge. We wanted to sleep during the drive, but the bus driver insisted on calling out purported points of interest along the way. We weren’t interested. The seats on the bus are extremely narrow, more narrow than airline seats and very uncomfortable. The display screens on the back of our seats did not work. The bag lunch was an onion and cheese sandwich with bbq sauce and was horrible. Stonehenge was awesome, and very interesting. Sadly otherwise the tour was well below average.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed Stonehenge. We’d like to clarify that the Golden Tours Stop 8 is clearly indicated on your booking voucher. Please note that our stops are different from other tour companies, which is why it may feel unfamiliar. We provide detailed directions on the voucher to help guests locate the boarding point, and we encourage arriving a few minutes early to ensure a smooth start. We appreciate your other comments regarding the seating, displays, and bag lunch, and we will share your feedback with our operations team to explore improvements for future tours. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your insights.

We took the half day trip from London to Stonehenge. We were picked up on time, each passenger was checked in, received a smack pack, and the driver offered some nice narration along the route (2 hour drive). When we arrived at the site, we were given instructions and a time to return to the bus. We enjoyed to excursion on our own and returned in time. The driver noted in the manifest, each person as we re-entered the coach. About halfway into the drive we encountered traffic and the driver announced he’d take another route. Partway through a re-route, about 45 minutes outside of London, he announced he had an issue with the bus and will need us all to get off the bus and give him 30 minutes to ’toggle’ the system. In the meantime, he suggested we can explore the area find a toilet ,etc. he first suggested Kew Garden, but they insisted on an entry fee for us despite his request to let us enter. Then he suggested we go to the pub up the street. As we exited the bus my husband clarified, with the driver, the time to be back in the bus as ‘ 30 minutes from now is 3:15, so that’s the time to be back here?’ and the driver replied ‘yes, 3:15. ‘. We went to the pub to use the restrooms and had a quick drink. Imagine our surprise as we were walking toward the bus at 3:14 and it was driving away! At first we thought he might be adjusting his parking spot- and kept walking toward it. Then it started to drive around the corner of a green space. My husband had to sprint across a park to flag down the driver while I was attempted to call the ‘emergency’ number we were given (which was useless, as the person I spoke w was unable to connect with our driver). Finally, the driver stopped and let us back on. Why didn’t he check to make sure all the passengers were on board? No answer from him on this. He had the manifest with all of our names and used it 2x already that day- so why wouldn’t he use it again? Or maybe count the number of passengers? If my husband weren’t able to sprint- we would’ve been stranded. I would not recommend this tour.
