Our tour guide who is a history major at university, sorry missed her name, did a tremendous job. She used the bus time to balance historical context with quiet time. Her description of Stonehenge’s history and the stones was very interesting. Glad she was our guide. A+
The attraction itself is amazing.

It was so much fun. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the event is well planned out. (Depending on traffic, you may not get back into London exactly at 1:30, just to plan for the rest of your day.)

Exactly as advertised! 2 hour drive to Stonehenge, 2 hours at the site, 2 hours home. We got there early before the crowds got really big. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we had a great time

We had a wonderful experience on our Stonehenge trip. Everything was well organised, and the site itself was incredible to see in person. A special thanks to Jile who made the journey even more enjoyable. He was incredibly funny, engaging, and kept everyone entertained throughout the trip while sharing interesting information. His sense of humor made the long drive fly by. Highly recommend this tour

Giles and Maria provided an exemplary experience. Our tour was informative, interesting, annd fun! The motor coach was comfortable and air conditioned. The group size was not overly large, which made for a nicer experience. The half-day trip allowed for plenty of time to enjoy both the stones as well as the visitor center. I wholeheartedly recommend this incredible half-day experience.

The knowledge and information provided by our guide Giles was fabulous. And his sense of humor and the sharing about life in London was entertaining on the bus ride to Stonehenge.

I had a server at a restaurant afterward tell me that the cost for excursions like this is BS but just the bus ride out there made the price feel worth it. Going first thing in the morning is also the best because you can get great pictures with significantly less people.
Our guide Phoebe was awesome. She was extremely knowledgeable and you could tell she liked doing her job! Plan for a 2h bus ride out, 1.5-2h “play” time, and a 2h bus ride back. Wear good walking shoes as the ground is uneven. We had an awesome time!

The company departs punctually, and it is beneficial to learn about UNESCO heritage sites. The meeting point is conveniently located. Please ensure an early arrival to avoid crowds, allowing for a more enjoyable experience at Stonehenge.

Amy was a fantastic tour host and the driver (can’t remember his name ) was a safe driver. What more can we ask. Thank you!
Dominika_K, Jul 2026
Our guide Amy was so informative. She was very pleasant and I loved hearing all her facts and talking points throughout the trip. The bus was nice and clean and we arrived promptly. We spent about 2 hours at Stonehenge at it was an ideal time. We did two loops around the Stonehenge and checked out the museum and cafe. Would recommend! I also recommend downloading the Stonehenge audio app ahead of time and listen as you walk through Stonehenge.

Our guide, Trisha, and driver, Laura, we’re both top notch. Trish is very friendly and gave out great information during the trip—both ways. She also stayed with the group while we were waiting in the queue for the shuttle to make sure we all got down; to the site. Laura was extremely helpful and nice about having to open up the cargo compartment a couple of extra times because we weren’t that organized. She was a very smooth and competent driver in dealing with the heavy traffic.

Takes time but is worth doing it. The myths for the purpose, and the complexity work to build Stonehenge more than 5 thousand years ago, is amazing.
G_L, Jul 2026
Tracy was a FABULOUS guide with a great sense of humor. She pointed out interesting points of reference during the drive to Stonehenge, gave clear information about the visit once there, and offered helpful suggestions for interesting attractions throughout the city at the end of the tour.

Always wanted to see Stonehenge. I understand it so much better now. Check one more off my bucket list.
Hiria_N, Jul 2026
We did the half day tour, this gave us 2hrs to spend at Stonehenge if you take the shuttle. We really enjoyed this tour and experience.
Jan_L, Jul 2026
It was so wonderful getting out of town and into the country, seeing the wonderfully preserved rock formations. The guide was fun; the weather was beautiful. I loved the day!
Lisa_C, Jul 2026
Well interpreted both on the way there and at the site. Really gives new insights into Neolithic humans and British settlements

I was really looking forward to this Stonehenge tour and willingly paid a higher price just to join their early morning departure. To make sure I wouldn’t be late, I woke up at 5:00 AM and commuted to South Kensington, arriving right before 7:00 AM. Their pre-trip email heavily emphasized how unpredictable London traffic can be and strictly requested everyone to arrive 15 minutes early. As customers, we all did our part and arrived on time.
Sadly, the driver didn’t arrive on time. At 7:30 AM, we were told the bus would be 10 minutes late, but we eventually waited for over 20 minutes and didn't set off until 7:56 AM. The guide explained that there was a traffic accident ahead and repeatedly stressed, “it’s not on us.” While I understand accidents happen, it was disappointing to hear them use “it’s not on us” to distance themselves from the situation so quickly, leaving us, the punctual customers, to bear all the consequences.
Because of this delay, we only arrived at Stonehenge at 10:10 AM. By then, the site was already packed with crowds from all the standard, cheaper tours—completely defeating the purpose of booking an early premium tour. What saddened me the most was the lack of compensation for the lost time. The website clearly promised 2 hours of sightseeing, but since we were strictly required to return to the bus by 12:00 PM, we only had 1 hour and 50 minutes there.
I feel so let down. I sacrificed my sleep and paid extra money for a premium, crowd-free experience, but ended up with a rushed tour surrounded by crowds. It just feels very unfair that the company takes no responsibility for a service they failed to deliver. If you are booking this for the "early bird" advantage, please beware.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thanks for your review.
Firstly , this is not a premium tour, you did not pay any extra for this tour.
We generally get to Stonehenge early as we leave earlier than most other day tours.
There was an accident on the motorway and the driver made it at about 8 am to the stop. This was out of his control and our control.
Tour guide was told give 2 hours at Stonehenge .
Perhaps there was a misunderstanding about this between the office and the guide, but the guide was told to give the full allotted time.

Operator never got back to me about my different starting location. If it wasn’t possible to accommodate my location they should’ve cancelled my booking. I mentioned the location in the booking notes and sent multiple messages but i never got response. I had to find a diff company.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Hi there,
We do not start from different locations in London, this is clearly on your booking confirmation with Viator. I think you are mixed up with another tour operator. London is too large to be picking up from different locations.
Tracy_T, Jun 2026
Magical place to visit at least once in your life. The bus was comfortable, the driver was very informative, and we did have enough time to enjoy the site to. Nice to let someone else worry about the traffic.
Deborah_G, Jun 2026
They are very punctual! Don't be late to board the coach at the time they tell you. The tour was great. Tiger was very knowledgeable about the area. The time spent at Stonehenge was just right.
james_c, Jun 2026
During the 2 hour bus ride, Bela gave a nice overview of the history of Stonehenge. I was glad I downloaded the Stonehenge app to get a lot more details when touring the site. I did not have enough time to explore any of the exhibits before getting back on the bus. It was a good way to get to Stonehenge for a brief visit.
nicholas_b, Jun 2026
The tour guides were very knowledgeable and the tour itself was very fascinating. The transporting was very clean. The bus stops halfway there for an around 10 minutes.
VALERIA_U, Jun 2026
This is the most convenient and simple way to enjoy Stonehenge. Louise was a wonderful guide: informative, funny and could read the bus for quiet nap time. Diana was our driver and it was a smooth drive - lulled everyone to sleep. We also had several seniors on our bus including my own and they enjoyed the self faced but timed tour thoroughly. Thank ladies for a wonderful day.
lily_l, Jun 2026

My wife and I were on a tight schedule as we were spending only four days in London before moving on to Tuscany. We realized that it made sense to split each day in half. One half would be spent on a guided tour, and the other half (AM or PM) would be spent on foot, seeing the local sites in and about London. Best decision we ever made. Our Guide, Trish was AMAZING! She is personable, funny, down to earth and was chocked full of interesting facts and tidbits of information that one would never come across on your own. Initially, I expected to be underwhelmed by a visit to Stonehenge. I mean, c'mon, THEY ARE ROCKS!! Trish changed all of that, and I'm humbled by the experience. Trish kept us on time, but was never pushy. Somehow on a bus that carried some 60 people, she managed to give you a feeling that she knew YOU personally, and put you at ease from the start that the trip would be one you would remember. WE LOVED HER!!! Our driver, Chris was an absolute professional. He was friendly, funny and most importantly, he handled the behemoth of a bus (that btw was SUPER comfortable, clean and quiet) in a maner that allowed you to sit back, relax and rest assured that he would get you safely to and from your destination. I have relied on Viator for all of my excursions when I travel for several years now. It is now the only company I trust. You are my go-to place for sightseeing ANYWHERE we decide to travel.
