- Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday, we will offer a walking tour instead on those days.
- Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures/disruptions may be subject to change. Please view the Schedule tab above for full information on closures.
- During peak periods, additional vehicles without Wi-Fi may be used
- When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Drawings Gallery will continue to be open.
- St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.
- Windsor Castle closures: 25 and 26 December – Castle completely closed.

We did a guided audio tour with David, Kirian was the driver. Both were very prompt and very knowledgeable. While we were disappointed our tour stop to Oxford was cancelled, we were given the option to instead go to Bath and are very happy with the outcome. 10/10 would recommend!

Tour guide, Dem, and driver, Reggie, were fantastic! Highly recommend this tour. Dem was very knowledgeable and even gave us some recommendations for places to see while visiting Oxford. There were a few accidents on the motorways so Reggie took us on a detour and we got to see the castle where Downtown Abbey was filmed! We happy we went on this tour.

Tour and guidance was ok, but major issue with this tour is timeline for Windsor Castel. It is not possible to cover and return back within 1 hr 15 min. Timing was issue only for castel & that can be given additional 30 to 45 min easily. You are spending that much money and if you can’t spend time, not value for money.

As others have mentioned this is a long day and really should be billed as transportation
Rather than a tour as the tour guide really didn't stay with the group at Stonehenge or windsor and there was limited info provided on the way to each place

Loved this tour! David, the tour guide, and Julien the driver were amazing. They did a fantastic job giving us information in a polite and respectful way. David is very knowledgeable and communicates very well. Instructions were clear and everything was done on time. The three places were stunning!! This tour was great and it is highly recommended.

Visit the cliffs of Dover and had about 45 minutes to walk around. Went to the sea front and had a few minutes. Finished up in Canterbury. Visit to the cathedral which was not included. All in all a nice day.

Long day, but worth it. Apollonia and Faisal were great! Stonehenge was awesome, Windsor was fab and Oxford was great! Loved the sights and commentary. If was foggy so dress warm! Would recommend this if you have limited time but want to see a lot!

Our Guide Bruce was amazing!
Very friendly and knowledgeable. He made each stop fun. Our driver Sokol was wo wonderful. We made every stop on time and he was helpful. I'd tour with them again and I'll recommend to my friends that will be traveling soon.

A lot to do in 11 hours. Fantastic tour guide and driver. I would recommend just doing Windsor Castle and Stonehenge. Not enough time in Oxford. All in all great time.

NEVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!
This company is absolutely horrible.
We were supposed to visit Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Oxford, but our bus broke down at Stonehenge. Our tour guide told us everything would be okay because we were going to switch buses with another tour that was parked next to us. However, due to miscommunication with the other tour guide, that switch never happened.
The guide then said he would contact management. For some reason, it took an extremely long time for him to get in touch with them. Eventually, we were told another bus was on the way and would pick us up in 20 minutes. That never happened. Instead, we were later told a bus would arrive in two hours.
After all of that, their management still tried to push us to take a walking tour in the rain to Windsor Castle, even though by the time we would have arrived, the castle would have been closed. It would have taken over an hour to get there, and it was already a little after 3 PM, with last entry at 5 PM. It felt like they were trying to technically say we “stopped” at Windsor just so they could justify giving us less of a refund.
Everyone on the bus rejected that plan, so they finally took us back to London.
The worst part? Management informed us—through the tour guide—that we would not receive a full refund, only a partial one, because we “stopped” at Stonehenge… even though we were actually stranded there for five hours.
They wasted our time and completely ruined our day. If you’re looking to book a terrible tour bus company, I highly recommend this one.

All of our vehicles undergo routine maintenance and inspections in full compliance with UK regulations and Golden Tours’ internal safety procedures. However, on rare occasions, unforeseen mechanical issues can still occur. As the safety of our customers is always our top priority, we had no option but to discontinue the tour after Stonehenge. We deeply regret that this situation arose and that we were unable to complete the itinerary as originally planned.
Our team acted as quickly as possible to arrange a replacement coach, and we sincerely apologise for the extended waiting time at Stonehenge and the inconvenience this caused. We also regret any confusion caused by the alternative options discussed at the time as we worked towards a solution.
Please be assured that our customer service team has already contacted you directly regarding this matter and has provided you with the corresponding resolution. We truly regret the impact this had on your day and greatly appreciate your understanding despite this unfortunate and unforeseen situation.
