Our guide, Kiran, was informative and entertaining. He was a delight and shared info about London as well as Stonehenge.
People who tend to run late should be aware that the coach leaves promptly at 8:30. The directions are simple and arriving there via public transportation is a breeze.

our drivers, armando and adrian, were terrific! both were very friendly and helpful and armando was super knowledgeable about stonehenge and london. stonehenge itself was amazing and actually exceeded my expectations. the trip was even better than i had anticipated.

This tour was good, but I felt their could be more information about Stonehenge, or the area we were driving through while on the bus. We were a captive audience for 2 hours each way! Our bus was completely full, so it was quite squishy. We arrived 10 minutes ahead of time, and got the last available seats

Stonehenge was great. I was surprised at one point in the walking trail you could be rather close and see the detail in the stones. Well worth going.

Worked perfectly for my schedule. Easy to find the bus, casual travel on the roadway and plenty of time (2 hours) to see Stonehenge. The time was almost exactly 6 hours which I needed for my schedule.

We are loyal Viator customers, so it pains me to write a not so glowing review.
I know it’s my fault, so I am not looking for any refund or anything. I just want to make you aware that I was confused about the meeting place. We were waiting at 8 Buckingham Palace Road instead of Bus Stop 8 Buckingham Palace Road.
We ended up purchasing rail tickets, a cab ride, and admission tickets to Stonehenge. Ergo, we had to pay another 250 Sterling Pounds for what was already a pre-paid tour.
Like I said, it was my fault. However, when we finally met up with the tour group, I explained to the Driver/Tour Guide Ashley what happened, and he said another passenger almost missed the tour because of a similar misreading of the meeting place. Ashley handled the situation like a real professional and let us back in the coach for the return trip to London.
I would like to thank not only Ashley but the entire UK population for their kindness and guidance, thus enabling us to check off an enormous entry in our bucket list. Everyone really saved the day for us…
…Then, it rained in Wiltshire.

I expected a little narration but none came. But most importantly, the driver didn’t speak good English so most passengers didn’t understand him. That said, Stonehenge was great!

Highly enjoyed the tour to the site. It was comfortable, and they explained each step to us. The weather is unpredictable, but regardless, we enjoyed ourselves at Stonehedge. One thing is they ask if anyone has allergies because they’re providing a lunch but once I showed up, they didn’t have anything for people that cannot have gluten. So maybe they should specify that even though the app is asking, it doesn’t matter because they’re not going to accommodate.

The fun facts the drivers told us on the way there were roughly 90% about rich peoples houses we were passing. Nothing historic. And the tour specifically mentions that it will end in the same place it starts - so we had planned our afternoon accordingly, and it did not. When i asked the driver about it he said that information is out of date and did not apologize for give any further information. It still ended back in london, but we had to hop on the underground to get back to where we were supposed to be. Poorly executed in that regard, but Stonehenge itself was great.

You are paying for a bus ride to Stonehenge, nothing more than that.
The irony of it all is that they advise that you’ll be traveling in an air conditioned coach but you don’t. Imagine sitting on a bus for 2+ hours, packed like sardines, with hot air blowing on you.
I knew we would be packed in like sardines but at least have some decency and maintain your coaches so that the air conditioner works, especially if you advise it.

Picked up and left exactly when (and where), it was expected to. There was no real conversation at all between the driver and the people on the tour at all during the 2 hour ride up to Stonehenge. The “snack”, was a cheese sandwich with relish, a bottle of water and an oat bar. The time spent at Stonehenge was generous (more than enough time actually). The whole trip was fine-2 stops on the way back either Gloucester or Victoria (where we were picked up). Would have liked to hear more from the driver-this tour has no guide-the audio guide could not be downloaded until you were actually at Stonehenge, because there was no wi-fi on the coach.

Very convenient bus to Stonehenge except that they falsely advertised the end point is the same as the meeting point which is totally incorrect.
They dropped us off no where near Golden Tours Stop 8
Buckingham Palace Rd, London SW1W 9SZ, UK. We had to walk a large distance to get back. If you have trouble walking this is not for you. So before you book reconfirm that they will be definitely returning to meeting point. Otherwise check others that definitely return to their meeting points so there are no end surprises.

Such a great experience! We were looking for something to do for half a day before heading to the airport to go home. I stumbled across this excursion last minute. So glad we decided to do it. Our guide was great, offering little tidbits along the way. The snack was a nice touch and the trip was seamless. My daughter and I both said we wished we had just one more hour. The line for the bus both to and from the site was a bit long and ate up approx 45 minutes of time we could have used seeing more sites around the gift shop.
I completely understand it is meant to be a "quick" trip and I loved that, as it made it possible to see Stonehenge when we were on a time crunch, just a wee bit more time would have made a perfect morning/afternoon, extra perfect!
This was not on our itinerary at all for our trip to the UK! Thank you for offering this half day excursion to make it possible for those of us who are short on time!!

Great place! A must see. Tour guide is top notch, very knowledgeable, and truly a piece of British history being an official Yeoman “Beefeater”.
However the price was too high for a such a large group that seemed like anyone around could have joined in. Seemed to me that there were more than fifty people in my group. Had to crawl over some people just to hear what the guide was saying.
I I thought the tour would be a little more intimate and thorough. Not the case.

There's not a whole lot you can mess up with a visit to Stonehenge, but ours was vastly improved by our bus driver Armando, with his humorous and off the cuff patter as we drove to the site. He pointed out places old and new, both historical and cultural, and was more than a bus driver. Definitely an enjoyable trip!

FYI There is no tour guide & no information about Stonehenge (or anything else) given - this trip includes the bus ride, tickets, and a snack - there was no commentary or anything as we drove. I went on one of these trips a few years ago and the tour guide was an encyclopedia of knowledge for the entire trip there, telling cool stories and info about things we saw on the way there and about Stonehenge itself, so I thought this would be somewhat similar. So the drive felt much longer and my family felt underwhelmed by the stones since they learned nothing about them on the way up (I would have talked about them more prior to the trip had I realized that this was going to happen). Also we were over an hour late getting back (and we left on time, with minimal traffic), so don't plan/book anything right after this. Last thing, and this could have been just this particular bus, but when the driver got on the microphone to tell us a quick thing (like to stay seated, or what time to be back, etc), the feedback sqeal on the speaker was so bad that everyone was wincing and covering their ears. It was honestly very painful and we dreaded him going on there again.

We used google maps to take the bus from our hotel to get to Golden tour stop 8. It was very easy to locate. As promised, we did receive a snack on the bus. The ride to Stonehenge and back went very smoothly. The visit there was absolutely beautiful. Thankfully we had amazing sunny weather to enjoy Stonehenge.

Wow! this was a great adventure back in time. Our Driver Chris was the shot of energy we needed. Chris was funny and informative during the drive. The tour is a self guided tour and stonehenge is magical. Just a short drive from London. We left with great pictures and memories along with plenty of questions and a new interest in finding our more about Stonehenge.

Well organized. Gave us snack packs (albeit weird pickle sandwich but the granola bar was good and water was always appreciated). Bus was higher end with AC and toilet.
The driver Chris was excellent and gave us more tips and anecdotes about London than other tours. Once we exited London he got quiet to let people rest. Because of his tips, we got off at Kensington and tried a great pizza/pasta place and saw some free museums.
One con: there was no audio guide included. You have to download onto your phone from the official Stonehenge app.
