I had a wonderful day! Arslan was on time, early actually, and the car was comfortable, clean, and he provided water and chargers for my devices. Stonehenge is not to be missed and I’m so glad I booked this tour! You are given 2 hours to explore and that is plenty of time. Arslan is a friendly, safe driver and I had a wonderful day.

This was a great way to see Stonehenge without worrying about driving ourselves to the port. Dan was very informative and our driver made sure we got to the terminal right on time .

Nice excursion before boarding ship

The excursion was great… my expectations of Stonehenge was way too high … it’s a definitely fascinating but I thought stones were monstrous… they weren’t.

This was a great way to get from London to Southampton, with a bonus stop at Stonehenge. Dan was very informative.

Ready to cruise? One last stop at Stonehenge!

Kristen_T, Aug 2026
Great way to see Stonehenge before boarding the cruise ship. Early pick up in order to pick up at many locations around London and the airport taking about 90min. Travel to Stonehenge was about 90min. Time at Stonehenge was about 2 hours. Seemed like it would be a little too long but worked well. Had time to visit site, gift shop, and cafe for a quick rest. Time to ship was about 90min from Stonehenge. Arrived a little after 2. If timeline doesn’t fit your image for getting on board, this may not be a good choice. It worked for us and driver and guide were knowledgeable giving us info about the area and site during the travel times.

False advertisement

DEANNA_M, Aug 2026
It is not a Luxury Coach. It is a van they stuffed 6 people into with all our luggage, back packs (piled on the front seat so no one could sit there) and my husband’s walker. We thought it was meeting up with a bus, but that never happened . We ended up being some of the last people on the ship before it left the dock. I was stuck next to a guy that “man spread” to the point I had a bruise from him shoving against my leg for 2 hours. We only had an hour at Stonehenge and couldn’t even look at the museum or exhibits. Just a fast jog around the stones and back in the sardine can. This time I put my husband in the middle next to the “man spreader.” Absolutely worst Viator trip I have taken. The driver never said a word, so no “tour” and he jerked the vehicle back and forth Everytime he looked in his mirrors, which was all the time.

If you need to be on a cruise ship at a certain time know that Stonehenge stop cuts it close. Traffic can be horrendous

Convenient transfer option

Melissa_L, Aug 2026
Dan was our tour guide. He arrived promptly for our pickup at 7am. As we drove from our hotel to pick up other passengers, he pointed out London highlights along the way. Once everyone was on the bus he spoke about the history of Stonehenge. We spent about 2 hours at Stonehenge which was plenty of time to see the site and visit the museum and gift shop. We were originally slated to arrive at the cruise port by 1:30pm, but extremely heavy traffic in that area, had us arrive at 2:15pm. Still within plenty of time for our 4pm departure.

Amazing Tour

Karen_X, Aug 2026
We had the most amazing tour today! Our guide was Dan and to say he and our driver went above and beyond would an understatement. Our day started with getting picked up at our hotel. The hotel we were staying was not on the official pick up list and the bus didn't have access to the private road it was on, so International Friends sent a separate car to gather us at the hotel and deliver us to the tour bus. Here we meet our amazing guide Dan and our bus driver Laurant (I hope I'm remembering and spelling that correctly). When Dan saw that I have limited mobility he quickly offered to arrange for a wheelchair for me at Stonehenge. My friend and I fully expected that she would be the one to push me around, but when we got there we were surprised to find that Dan did all the pushing. He not only pushed me around, but he shared his vast knowledge of the site with us and even posed us in cute pictures with Stonehenge. He made it a super fun and educational experience for us both! After the tour, everyone who was departing on a cruise was dropped off at the port and we were dropped off at our hotel. I can't tell you what a pleasant surprise this was. We fully expected to have to take a cab from the port to our hotel, but we didn't. Not only were we dropped off at our hotel, but they helped us bring our luggage inside. I would 100% recommend this tour and I would specifically recommend both our tour guide, Dan, and our driver, Laurant. They were both incredible! Thank you to International Friends for hiring them as our guide and driver. And thank you to Dan and Laurant for an amazing day!

Highly recommend.

You May or May Not Have a Tour Guide

MARIA_D, Aug 2026
I guess some people get a tour guide/person and some people only get a driver. We only got transportation with no clever anecdotes/stories about Stonehenge. We were told there was an audio guide when you get to the monument. The driver was safe and efficient, and the transport was clean and professional. We did get to see Stonehenge on our way to our cruise, so that is why we booked this! We had to find another ride to get to Portsmouth - we were dropped off at Southampton, the other port, but we knew that and planned accordingly. Thanks!

Well Done

Patsy_W, Aug 2026
The trip was very organized. I was worried after reading some reviews. Ours was in time and moved smoothly. Our guide, Dan, was great. The bus driver, Ricky, was also great. Both were very friendly and kept the trip organized.

Very enjoyable experience with our guide, Dan. Stonehenge is not very impressive without the knowledge provided.

Great Tour Guide, Rocks in a dead field of grass

sgouge, Jul 2026
Dan and Kalum our guide and bus driver were great. That is what the 5 stars is for. All in all it’s just some old ass rocks in the middle of a dead grass field. And the rocks are roped off. One star rating. If you ever have a chance to go, skip it. Sleep in or go day drinking instead. Every picture of Stonehenge you’ve seen is 100X better than in person. I’ve been ruined for life now. Every picture of Stonehenge you’ve seen is 100X better than in person. I’ve been ruined for life now. We only went as it was on the way to South Hampton. Dry, Hot, No Shade, 1.5 miles from the visitor center.

Provided as described

James_H, Jul 2026
As described, picked up from hotel (30 mins after stated time), taken to Stonehenge and dropped at the cruise pier right by the luggage conveyors.

Not worth the money for 15 min at Stonehenge

April_R, Jul 2026
We were the first pick up and we drove around for two hours before we headed towards Stonehenge. Then because some people had an earlier departure time and the shuttle lines were long at Stonehenge we ended up with about ten minutes at the site. We needed to get down to the port but this was a waste of money for us. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable but just couldn’t overcome the other issues.

Pick another tour

Deidre_S, Jul 2026
This tour was not entirely as described. We were told to meet our tour guide at 10 minutes to 7am, but they didn't arrive until 7:30am. Turns out that the driver was just moving us from our hotel to another hotel, where we waited another 45 minutes for a bus to pick us up. Then we spent the next more than an hour driving to two other locations near the airport picking up more people. So, we didn't leave London until nearly 10am. Tour guide didn't teach us anything about Stonehenge. The only good thing was that we made it to the cruise terminal on time. Would not recommend this tour, for the price. We paid nearly $1,000 for 5 of us to ride a bus half the day.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry to learn that the tour did not meet your expectations. As your booking was made through Viator, the initial pick-up time displayed is a generic 7:00am. This represents the earliest possible collection time rather than your confirmed pick-up. I can see that all customers travelling on your departure, including yourself, were sent their individual confirmed pick-up times by International Friends via the Viator messaging portal before travel. Your vehicle arrived in line with the confirmed time we provided. As this is a shared transfer service, there are multiple hotel pick-ups before departing London. To keep this process as efficient as possible, we use smaller vehicles for the collections before transferring guests to the main coach. We also offer private transfers for customers who prefer a direct journey without additional pick-up stops. Regarding Heathrow, our tour description advises that pick-ups in the Heathrow area take place between 9:00am and 9:45am. As Heathrow is approximately an hour from central London, departing the area at around 10:00am is consistent with the advertised schedule. I'd also like to clarify that this is not advertised as a guided tour. The service is accompanied by a tour manager, whose role is to ensure the day runs smoothly, while audio guides are provided for the visit to Stonehenge. While we're genuinely sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, having reviewed your comments against the advertised itinerary and service description, we believe the tour was delivered as described. It appears that your expectations of the service differed from the product that was booked.

London transfer to Southampton port with stop at Stonehenge

Candice_M, Jul 2026
This was a very well organized excursion. We were picked up at 7am in front of the hotel and made two more stops to pick up other passengers. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of London and was telling us interesting facts while passing through. He also knew about many of the towns we passed on the way to Stonehenge and the port in Southampton. Stonehenge was really amazing we took many pictures and was worth going to.

Check off the Bucket List

Nancy, Jul 2026
So happy we decided to book this transfer that included the stop at Stonehenge. Toby did a good job keeping the group informed and on schedule while giving interesting information. We also had good communication regarding pick up prior to the departure.

A must see if you are in London.

Stewart_H, Jul 2026
I would recommend the Royal Observatory to anyone especially those who are watch enthusiasts, which I am. If Tim is there doing his free talks, three of which we attended. It was an added special treat. He was excellent, very knowledgeable and interesting.
