Highly recommend to download app before you go. Otherwise, its too hard to navigate in the museum. There are not enough sign in the museum.

Winter at the gallery

The gallery is very busy. Their customer service is wonderful. We went during the holiday season, the biggest challenge that we faced was people taking selfies continuously and doing social media throughout the gallery so it made it challenging to see the art and navigate the building. Maybe consider regulating tour guide times and assist in the flow of foot traffic.

Don't use Viator for the National Gallery

The National Gallery did not recognize the Viator voucher as being valid. They said this was a third party. I had to pay for the audio tour again. Better to make arrangements directly with the National Gallery.

The National Gallery is free. We didn’t need to make any kind of appointment for “skip the line” access. We didn’t even make this meeting point or appointment to receive headset. I attempted to cancel this weeks ago but there was a no cancellation policy on this ticket reservation and no refund. DO NOT BOOK THIS. It’s FREE! Go to the national gallery website for tickets.

Do not pay to go to this museum, admission is free and there were no lines. They provide headsets for $5, no need to pay for the audio version or to bring your own headsets.
