4hr round trip from London. Stonehenge looked just like the pictures. You can't get near the stones. Not too many people. Visitors center is nice.
Avebury is the lunch stop and has limited capacity so go to lunch first. Stones are very spread out but you can touch and walk around. The coach we traveled in was not comfortable for a 6 foot, 200lb man. Viewing area very limited so many of the items that Sam pointed out were difficult to see. Sam was the highlight with his stories and useful tips. Unless you are enamoured by the alleged mystic properties of the stone circle, you're better of watching one of the many videos on You-Tube.

The Stonehenge tour was cancelled due to low bookings. The message was sent the night before as I was unavailable. I waited at Earls Court for an hour. Tried to get hold of you and Andersson. Impossible to get real contact. This is the worst thing I have ever experienced.

The tour is designed correctly. First you visit the West Kennet Long Barrow, then Avebury, then Stonehenge. The Long Barrow gets you in the mood with a view of Silbury Hill. You can touch the stones at Avebury and then Stonehenge is fantastic.

All the places we went on the tour were great, and it was a nice surprise to go to woodhenge. The tour was run very well and it was an easy and comfortable way to get to the sites. Nick was super friendly and great with the kids. For our tastes we would have preferred less entertainment, and more historical context about the sites & time left to ourselves to wander around.

Absolutely wonderful day. Nick, our guide, was so much fun and very engaging! Our driver George was amazing and along for the crazy ride! The coach was always where he said it would be and our belongings were kept safe!

Hayley was an excellent guide, balancing informative commentary with a relaxed pace that kept us engaged without overwhelming us. Antonio, our driver, was warm, welcoming, and skilled, ensuring a comfortable ride. Stonehenge was impressive but crowded, while Avebury offered a more peaceful, authentic experience. We enjoyed both exploring both the stone circles and the village of Avebury itself. West Kennet Long Barrow was a fascinating, off-the-beaten-path site that provided a unique glimpse into ancient history. Highly recommend!

The places were wonderful to see. The bus had a flat tire and the group had to stand in the side of the motorway for an hour. It was cold and windy. The tour guide (Richard) wasn't very helpful.
He talked to the bus driver almost the whole trip and ignored the group.
The sights were great. Look into a different tour group.

It was a great experience. Getting to see the long barrow, Avebury Circle, and Stonehenge without having to drive or take a train was definitely worth it. The guide and driver were very knowledgeable and made the trip even better.

I highly recommend. The buses are comfortable, air conditioned, and have USBs for you to charge devices. The sights are incredible. Really special and the first two are a bit off the beaten path and feel like something really unique to see. Michel was a fun guide who gave us commentary on the road about things we passed by that were interesting. We got royal history, local history, music history, etc. Also there were good stretches of quiet allowing us to take naps. If I had more time in England, I would take other tours with them. Very happy!

Brendan was an excellent guide and a superb driver. We left right on time. He pointed out lots of good stuff along the way. This small-bus full-day tour was everything I had hoped for. I'd just taken an ancient art history class and had yearned to revisit Avebury since 1988, when I saw a small part of it with no historical background. Here, we got a bigger picture beyond the henge, first a dip inside the Kennet Long Barrow (with a mini-conjuring session by our guide), and stroll with a view of nearby inscrutable Silbury Hill. We had a quality hour or so in the town of Avebury to walk among the stones and henge and sheep. Our affable, very hard working guide reminded us that the circles were white and high back in the day, not soft smooth grassy knolls. I wished I'd had time to stop at the lovely pub in town.
Our man drove us past later sites where a version of Avebury was made out of wood, and wound us past lots of towns with thatched buildings. The countryside on a pleasantly warm June day was lovely, grasses swaying, red wildflowers blooming, no wonder the English love to walk. I also enjoyed the trip to Stonehenge, miraculously not swamped with tourists, so I could try to imagine the processions held there in the sweeping fields, the nearby autoroute a reminder of today's less mysterious pilgrimages.
This was a long day on the road, with a nice break stop at the beginning to grab some food and use the loo. On the return, our guide/driver navigated thick traffic with equanimity and occasionally sharing anecdotes about the musician's life and London and the English and various interesting stories. I enjoyed the whole day, and as I nodded off a few miles outside London felt more grateful for our shepherd's diligence. He deserved a standing ovation plus tips (and I hope double wages for playing two roles). This was months ago and now I can't remember the gentleman's name, but he is a tall rock musician with an easy demeanor and gently wry sense of humor, who can also herd cats (us tourists).
This trip was a highlight of my week in London. I recommend it to those who want a more personal, uncrowded visit to these ancients sites. I hope Anderson continues to offer the route--it's the only one combining these sites as far as I could tell, and I would consider going again.

Stonehenge, Avery standing stones, the West Kennet Long Barrow and the view of Silbury hill were fantastic. Michel was a fantastic guide, explained all the history, science and myths surrounding these fantastic ancient monuments. He also was humorous. He made it perfect balance of talk and rest during the drives up and back. Very responsive to our comfort during travel. He also gave great advice on where to buy lunch and things to do in Avery. He even shared stories about his very interesting personal experiences in the music industry.
