Bath tour

boris_b, Apr 2026
It was good overall , and I saw a lot of places and town . The bus was clean with bathroom. The only issue is it would be good to have a little more time as Bath is a big town to see , and the museum also took some time. The guide was nice James and the driver Merrik was very safe. This is more with the tour company, but the price per person was a little steep given we were taken to towns and nothing other than bus and entrance to museum was paid for by company

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your balanced and thoughtful feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed seeing many different places and towns, and that you found the coach clean, comfortable, and well equipped. It’s also great to know that James provided a pleasant guiding experience and that Merrik’s safe driving added to your comfort throughout the day. Our multi‑stop tours are carefully timed to allow guests to see several highlights in one day, which does mean that time at each location—especially larger cities like Bath—is necessarily limited. We understand your wish for more time there, particularly when including a museum visit, and we appreciate your understanding that this is a common consideration with full‑day, multi‑destination itineraries. Regarding pricing, the tour includes return transportation in a modern coach, professional guiding, organisation throughout the day, and entry to included attractions, all designed to offer a convenient and well‑structured way to see multiple iconic locations in a single trip. We appreciate your comments and will share them with our team as we continually review and refine our offerings. Thank you again for your feedback. We’re glad you had a good overall experience and hope to welcome you on another tour in the future.

Sites are stunning. Only...

Megan_P, Sep 2025
Sites are stunning. Only a short teaser at Bath. Have been on other tours with more personality in a host.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the stunning sites on the tour. We appreciate your comments regarding the time at Bath and the hosting style. Your input is valuable and will help us improve the balance between sightseeing and engagement for future tours.

Cedric was a great guide...

Sabrina_B, Sep 2025
Cedric was a great guide - gave a lot of good info for food recommendations. Tour description was off - we only had 2hrs in Bath that we wasted 20 min of in line to get into Roman Baths. Cotswolds only had 2 stops total, not 3. Also I paid extra for Tastecard and no info was given on it, that was a disappointment and waste of money.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed Cedric’s guidance and food recommendations. We’re sorry that some aspects of the itinerary and the Tastecard experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your comments and will review them to ensure clearer communication for future guests

Two totally different...

Susie_p, Aug 2025
Two totally different venues, both were great. Paulie was knowledge and fun guide which added much to the tour. Lots of fun places to explore.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed both venues and that Paulie’s knowledge and fun personality enhanced your tour experience. We’re glad you had the chance to explore so many enjoyable places and hope to welcome you on another tour soon!

Tour guides must speak clear English and know their history of the destinations.

ToniAnn_D, Aug 2025
The tour guide was friendly but that is where it ended. She spoke very poor English and no information about the trip unless it was written in front of her. She fell asleep on the way to our second stop in Cotswold and when she woke up, the bus driver was going to the wrong place. He obviously couldn’t understand her either and then she started yelling at him in front of us all blaming him ….Very unprofessional !! By the time he turned around to go to the right town, it was all closed. Disappointing!!

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your tour. A guide’s role is to make the journey engaging and informative, and it’s very disappointing to learn that the communication, professionalism, and overall organization fell short of expectations. It’s also concerning to hear about the misdirection and the lack of coordination between the guide and driver, which clearly impacted your ability to enjoy the visit to Cotswold. Your feedback is very important, as it highlights areas where improvements must be made both in guide training and in communication with guests. We sincerely regret the frustration and disappointment caused and will make sure this is addressed internally. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

It just felt like a ride...

Gabrielle_M, Aug 2025
It just felt like a ride there and not so much of an actual guided tour. Very little detail was given and the tour guide had a thick accent that was hard to understand. At the end of the tour, the guide took my phone and made me give five stars…. I’d still recommend the tour to family and friends, but would hope they had a better informed guide - it really makes all the difference!

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations in terms of the level of detail and clarity of the guide’s commentary. We take your concerns seriously, especially regarding the guide’s approach and communication style. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we will use your feedback to improve our training and ensure all guides provide informative and engaging experiences. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you and your friends with a better experience in the future.

Fast paced tour of Bath and 2 Cotswolds

Marnie_K, Jul 2025
Just be prepared that this is fast paced, and you will spend approximately 6 hours in the van that day (more time spent in van than at the actual sites). However, it’s a good way to sample these sites if you’re short on time or otherwise don’t have your own transportation to get there. Our guide, Amanda, was very energetic and upbeat, giving us historical info en route to each site. She was dutiful to count each group member before leaving each site. If you’re solo, she’ll help take pictures of you and knows the best photo opps. Everyone in this group of about a dozen was mostly respectful and returned to the van on time, so that we could visit our next site as planned. Be aware that, in the morning, they will start counting you as no-show at 8:25 (if your tour leaves at 8:30, for example), as they do leave 8:30 on the dot. Wish there were more restrooms available at the departure point (two toilets for a long queue of women). At the sites you either have to find a public restroom (sometimes difficult) or go in a pub and buy a water or drink, use their restroom. Our driver was very prompt as well and always had us on time to our destinations, despite a road closure. Our guide Amanda told us we were fortunate to be in a van and not a coach/bus, as the van can more easily access the towns’ centers. Your ticket to the Bath museum is included with the tour. There is not much leisure time at these sites, maybe a few minutes to briefly get a souvenir, see the site, and grab a quick lunch in Bath. You’re not going to be able to read every single bit of info in the Bath museum (if that’s your thing), as you’d spend all of the allotted 2 hours in the museum and nothing else in town. I was able to walk to Jane Austen’s former home. The Cotswolds were a bit crowded on a hot day (during the heat wave), with tourists in the water. Beautiful little towns, I just feel somewhat bad for them being overrun. Overall I would recommend this tour if you’re short on time and would like to experience these sites. Shoutout to guide Amanda and our driver.

Waste of money and time better off going on your on

virginia0827, Jun 2025
Completely a mess. First off the tour guide had the same five facts and was excessively repetitious. She screamed into the microphone such that it was necessary to put ear plugs in so as not to get a migraine within five seconds. Her misogynistic commentary that the husband’s get their wallets ready for shopping were ridiculous and add to it what shopping when you give not even 30minutes in a village. We wasted more time trying to get to the Roman Baths with her trying to convince us to go to one particular restaurant or ice cream shop. Almost as if she got commission from the restaurants. Then she told us to use the public toilets but forgot to mention that we needed change to do so. Other matters the Wi-Fi did not work at all. When she could tell we were unhappy she kept showing us the itinerary and asking did you enjoy. I was honest and stated I was not.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the experience you’ve described and understand how disappointing this must have been. Please be assured that we are currently investigating the points you’ve raised in detail, including the conduct of the guide and the issues encountered during the tour. We take all feedback seriously and are committed to ensuring the highest standards of service for our guests. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Beautiful Sights and a Fun Guide, But a Few Letdowns

Pragya_J, Jun 2025
We had a lovely time on the Bath and Cotswolds walking tour—the places we visited were absolutely stunning, and it felt like walking through a postcard. Our guide was funny, engaging, and clearly passionate, which made the journey enjoyable and lively throughout. That said, there were a few things that could have been better. We had very limited time at each stop, and it felt a bit rushed—we would have loved the chance to explore each location more fully. Also, while the guide was entertaining, a few of their comments might come off as inappropriate or offensive to some. Finally, we were a bit disappointed that we weren't dropped off at the location that was originally promised. It ended up being quite far from our Airbnb, which was inconvenient after a long day of walking. Overall, it was a great day out and we’re happy we did it—just wish the pacing and drop-off logistics were more thoughtfully handled.

Bath is a fascinating...

Joan_K, Jun 2025
Bath is a fascinating city with incredible history and unique architecture. The Cotswolds is a charming and sweet town and a great place for lunch. Special thanks to Chris, our guide, who went out of his way to retrieve my phone from the Cotswolds. Ever grateful Chris!! Not only a good guy but he knew so much about the towns and their history.

Great tour!

Martin_A, Jun 2025
Loved our time in Bath & the Cotswolds. We had 2 hours in Bath to visit the Roman Baths & walk around town & grab some fish and chips, We visited 2 Cotswolds villages - Bibury (very charming & beautiful), and Burford (very nice). Only had about an hour at each village. Our tour guide, Amanda, was charming & kept everyone on schedule. We only wish that we could have had more time at each stop. Highly recommend.

Charming and charming!

debweb52, Jun 2025
It was a wonderful day! We did a self-guided tour of the Roman Baths and then time on our own for lunch. Bath was just lovely! Then we drove to two Cotswold Villages. Because it was a Saturday they were extremely crowded, yet charming. We didnt feel there was enough time at the first village. I think the second village could have been skipped as it wasn't as charming as the first. Eileen and Derek did a great job! They kept us right on schedule. One person was two minutes late at the bus terminal and we left without him. I think everyone made sure they were back on the bus at the arranged time throughout the day after that.

Too rushed

Alison_G, May 2025
This tour was really rushed. If you're interested in just seeing and leaving, perfect for you. But if you want to spend time at each place as there is much to do, better to do separate tours.

Worth the visit

Satish_D, Sep 2024
Good trip Well organized Time managed well Driver was good in driving in rainy conditions Guide took pains to explain a lot of history & local gossip though in halting english

Lots of driving little time to visit sites

Helen_O, Sep 2024
Lots of driving. Little time to visit towns. Second town visited was so late all shops closed. Guide was difficult to understand at times and seemed to never finish a sentence.

Long ride on the bus

Rita_S, Sep 2024
It was an ok trip. Bath was very interesting and the Bath museum was great. We definitely could have used more time. We had to scarf down some food before leaving. After Bath we went to Bourton-on-the-Water. It was a nice town and we could have used more time there. Spent most of our time just trying to find a restroom. Next stop, Buford-Fulbrook could have been totally left off. By the time we arrived everything was closed. There wasn’t anything to do there. Complete waste of time, not to mention the time it took to get there. This time would have been better spent added in the other two stops. We spent quite a bit of time just traveling. Once we got back to town they let us off at Gloucester Station area. We weren’t even told where the station was located or how to get back to the spot we took off from in the morning - it was a completely different area. Bath and Bourton on the Water were great stops and would love to go back there - but I would do it in a car next time.

A must tour

Chris_C, Aug 2024
Excellent tour which was well managed by Eileen. Bath was beautiful and the Roman Baths are a must. Burton on the Water and Burford were also picturesque places to visit. Highly recommended tour

Response from Host, Aug 2024

Long trajet en bus AR de 2 fois 2h + encore 1h entre Bath et Corswhold. Très belle visite de Bath et des thermes romains. Déçu par le 1er village des Cotswhold, touristique et non authentique.
