This is a great trip for those looking for a day trip from London. The trip was around 11 hours in the end and had amble time in each destination. It’s a small group of around 17 max which was very intimate.Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and history behind it. Learnt so much about the area and facts about the area.

Our Guide Mike was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable about the area
Since we were in a smaller coach we were able to travel smaller roads, even stopping by a church built in the 900-1000's. I really enjoyed all his local information.

At this time of the year its cold but you do have the benefit of being on the smaller vehicles so you can travel down the smaller roads, and on this occasion you, saw a lovely old church.

Cotswolds in the winter are still charming but I would not recommend the guide with Anderson tours. He spoke endlessly on the drive, starting with the history of England. I love history but it was too much talking. He was a nice man but verbose to the extreme. He didn’t communicate when we would stop for food, just that we should get food for the bus. He didn’t communicate not use GPS. If he did he could have saved us some driving time. Our tour ended up taking over 3 hours back to London due to traffic. It was not a pleasant ride and we ended up in the van more than in the villages.

The travel time is 2 hours at either end, unfortunately there is sometimes traffic coming back into London, which will cause delays.
Your guide is fairly new to the team so was possibly nervous and over complicating things, but he is experienced and knowledgeable.

All a good experience. Guide and bus driver were great. For us, it was just enough time to get a taste of the area. Just be prepared to walk up and down hills and on some uneven surfaces if you are not a very agile person.

I gave a previous review, but was whisked away before I could put in the actual dates we toured. We went Friday, August 1, 2025.
Would recommend if not interested in shopping only, drive yourself and maybe go to the other villages.

The Coach was in very average condition . Seats once inclined could not be brought back to usual position , toilet was not functioning initially and on return trip was kept locked . Only saving part was the guide TEM - who was very helpful and went out of way to provide good service

It is your responsibility to research the pickup location for your tour at least the day before. Our customer service team is available to assist you.
Arriving late costs other customers their time! We try to be as understanding as possible and request the driver to wait for 10 minutes if a customer contacts us to let us know they are running late.
We admit that on rare occasions the bus is caught in road traffic, however this is not something we can control.
How is the guide telling everyone to return to the meeting point on time an issue?
Considering you were late for pickup in the morning , it was only right they emphasised that everyone needed to be punctual to ensure you got time to visit all the locations on the itinerary.

The Cotswolds themselves were amazing and definitely worth visiting. Liza, our host, was both entertaining and dedicated. However, our enjoyment was significantly marred by a series of problems with our bus driver. The day started poorly with the bus arriving 30 minutes late. Then, a navigational error by the driver on the way to our second location caused a delay, forcing us into a hurried walk through Bibury. At our third stop, despite Liza's clear instruction to return by 3:30 pm and everyone's punctuality, the bus didn't reappear until 4:00 pm. Consequently, our time at the last location was regrettably cut short. This was a really unacceptable situation. I've reported the matter to the tour operator but have yet to receive a reply.

The tour is ok, driver and guide are nice, but time allocation not really good. It would be great if we can have more experience on farm or field rather than just moving 4 areas and walk around with repeated view.

People have seen photos online of Bibury and Bourton on the Water and want to see them, they won't be happy if we just go to a farm or field. We do have to cover the top locations as this is what people demand.

Had a great experience ytd at cotswold by Brandon. Although weather was bad, whole tour was actually quite chill. Not rushed. Maybe coz there were only 6 ppl so it was a small group.

Seeing the thatch-roofed houses and the Weavers Row were the day’s highlight. Our guide, Tem accompanied us to various locations in the towns and provided us with many interesting history details. Driving through the hedgerows was a unique experience.

I had a lovely time, everything was well organised and went smoothly. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable: he provided us with brief and interesting information on each village and then left us free time to explore individually. The time in each village was well balanced and we managed to visit four of them. I liked also the fact that the group was very small, as it was easier to move quickly. The driver was very friendly and experienced. Highly recommended.

The logistics and timing of the day could be much improved. We arrived for lunch in Stow-on-the-Wold at 2.30pm, after most of the restaurants had closed for the afternoon. Same thing happened by the time we got to Chipping Campden. We arrived at 5pm and everything was closed for the day. The tour guide was surprised by this and it appeared that she had not done this tour before. Her knowledge of each town was very limited and she relied heavily on our fantastic bus driver for a lot of guidance during the day. I enjoyed the villages, but honestly got little value from having a tour guide. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Thank you for your feedback and the timings are good for this tour although it didn't run to schedule on the day your travelled. Ideally you should have arrived at Stow on the Wold at 1:30pm so you can get some lunch.

Our tour guide Nick was friendly and answered all questions. However, the bus was late coming to the meeting point, seating arrangement was uncomfortable, very short time to enjoy the places.

Our tour guide Nick was fun and also knowledgeable about British history. We lost some time because of traffic from London, but we still had time to see four towns and spend some time in each.

When asked what is the most memorable part of the tour for this review, sadly it is the dangerous driver. Crossing centre lines, overspeeding and correcting the poor guide during her commentary. Took a real shine off the Cotswolds and scenery as we sat white knuckled until the end .

Very upbeat guide who was in my opinion the perfect amount of interaction. Cotswolds were exactly what we hoped for. Hated all the bus time but seems to be a necessary evil and it was as comfortable as a bus can be. USB ports at seats and slight wings on head rests for those like me that fall asleep after 10 min. In hindsight I’d have probably done better with a tour with more walking but no getting around the driving there and back issue from London. UK certainly has very nice rest stop! Appreciated that we were never in bus for more than approx an hour at a pop.

This is how more tours should be! We visited 4 market towns, and with a little bit of guidance from our tour guide, spent around an hour on our own on each high street, to shop, try food, and wander as we pleased. It was the perfect kind of tour for those who hate tours. We had a comfortable bus, and caring guide and driver. It was a little difficult to understand the guide’s accent over the bus microphone, but she was so happy and knowledgeable to answer questions as we visited each town that it was minor. We would do this tour again, even on the same trip!

The trip was very smooth, punctual, easy overall. The cotswolds are very nice and the villages we visited are very pretty. It is nice to see and look around but if you want to relax and chill in one of those villages you might want to consider spending a night instead of taking a day trip, which is quite quick. The time we spent in each village was enough to check it out but just enough. Not that any more time can be squeezed into one day trip. The guide was extremely sweet and nice to us and we enjoyed her presence. The cotswolds are pretty but there isn’t much to do. A bit more time was spent in one of the villages in order to have lunch and it was quite nice and relaxing.
