Itinerary

Itinerary: Gunthorpe Street - Scene of murder Martha Tabram The scene many experts claim to be the first Jack the Ripper murder. This cobbled stone lane way remains a great starting point in the tour, as you can instantly feel the sense of a bygone era, of gaslit streets, dark corners and quiet footsteps in the night, as the ripper lay in wait for his victims. Frying Pan pub - The death of Mary Ann Nichols One of the last sightings of victim Mary Ann Nichols before her mutilated body was discovered in Bucks Row on the night of 31st August, 1888. This building, and its surrounding area, provide a great insight into the social living conditions and the everyday fight for survival in London's East End. Hanbury Street - Scene of the Annie Chapman murder The body of Annie Chapman was discovered here in the early hours of 8th September 1888, her throat cut across, her body horribly mutilated. What clues did the killer leave? The Ripper Letters See the emergence of Jack the ripper in a series of penned letters, sent to the central news agency during the "Autumn of Terror" They were written in blood red ink and sent with half a human kidney. The Death of Elizabeth Stride Elizabeth Stride's, or Long Liz, body was found in Dutfield's yard off Berner street in the early hours of 30th September 1888. Her death was only the first in a night that would forever become known as the "double event". Mitre Square - Scene of the Catherine Eddowes murder The 30th September 1888 became known as the "double event" when the Ripper killed twice in one night. You'll visit the original cobble-stoned square, investigate the evidence and find out how the ripper evaded capture. Goulston Street - Scene of perhaps the most vital clue in the ripper case The night of the double murder left perhaps one of the most important clues in the entire case. What was it? Does it help solve the mystery? Dorset Street - Scene of the Mary Kelly murder The Ripper's final victim was found in her small room at 13 Millers Court on 9th Nov 1888 and was the most savagely mutilated victim of them all. You'll visit the murder sight and recreate the final moments of the ripper's reign of terror. Over a century later, the police photo is still very disturbing. Who was Jack the Ripper? Using modern criminal profiling, your guide will reveal the man police should of been looking for throughout the biggest man hunt in British history.

Interesting perspective on the Ripper murders. Being in the actual locations lend a certain creepiness to it.

The tour guide had excellent information and stories of the time. He did a wonderful job retelling the history.

This was a brilliant tour, our guide Harry used a projector that had original photos from that time which made the experience more realistic

Guide did not show up

The guide did not show up. We waited for 30 minutes in the cold and sent them messages that they did not respond to.

Jack the Ripper your with Projections

Jane_H, Feb 2025
Our guide was fantastic and made the experience all the more interesting with his vast knowledge and animated chat. So knowledgeable and the projections were a useful tool to show us all how things looked at the time of the murders.

Fun

The narrator was very knowledgeable. The weather was typical of London. Very enjoyable experience for all ages

Not what I expected

Larry_S, Sep 2024
Overall, it was fine. The guide was great, but the content was alright. I guess touring the modern streets and trying to imagine the time when the Ripper was there was the challenge. Also thought Ripper Vision was more than a hand held projector being displayed on building walls. The information provided, even with Ripper Vision was interesting for the backdrop of the storytelling.

Very good Jack the Ripper Tour

Jaime, the tour guide, was very good. The meeting point was easy to find. The tour was very informative. We took the early tour at 5pm, so the Ripper Vision was not effective due to sunlight. Jaime used large photos to replace the projector at most locations. Overall, I recommend this tour if you are interested in serial killers or Jack the Ripper.

Great Ripper tour

Gary_S, Apr 2024
Excellent presentation by Rob on Saturday 13/4/24 at 5:00pm. Very Clear and audible voice, knowledgeable and respectful towards the victims.

Stick with the original tour

Lyn_j, Jan 2024
I was deciding between this and the original Jack tour. The other was sold out so I opted for this. The guide said he ‘didn’t feel like this tonight’ to his colleague and was rushing around the tour. He did not wait for people to catch up. We got stuck at a busy crossing and they just walked on. There were busy roads and cars to navigate with my autistic children and he didn’t wait for us, given how busy London is it was very difficult to find them through the crowds. All other walking tours I have done, the guide always keeps check he has all the people at the stops but this one just seemed to want to get it done and get home. The ‘ripper vision’ is just internet photographs. Try and get a place on the original tour with experts rather than this one. It was £50 wasted.

Awesome

Emanuel_G, Jan 2024
The tour through this part of London brings you back in time. Nick’s passion, knowledge and attention to detail with his images/photographs help you connect the dots. Nick focuses on the history and the human aspects of the victims. This section of London is so attractive and has so much to offer that we went back the next day, and without Nick we would have missed it.

Wonderful tour!

Brittany_M, Oct 2023
Very informative, factual tour with an amazingly engaging guide! He takes you through the neighborhoods and streets of old Victorian London. He paints a wonderful picture of old world London with pictures and directional references, so u know exactly where and what you are looking at. It’s very interesting, I wish we had time his other tour.

TOUR GUIDE WAS AMAZING

Sheena_A, Oct 2023
Our guide had an amazing wealth of knowledge about Jack the Ripper and really made the tour a memorable one x

Interesting

Michelle_M, Jun 2023
Expected more stories and facts I wouldn’t find on the internet. Random stops not the most poignant of places.

Jack the ripper tour

True Crime Tour

Valerie_R, Apr 2023
For aficionados of true crime, this tour is for you! The gruesome murders of Jack the Ripper are some of the most disturbing but enduring mysteries in the world of true crime. On this tour, tour guide Mic took us through some of the most significant locations involved in the original investigation. Do note, you will not be able to see all the locations where the Ripper murders took place as some are spaced quite far apart from one another. Mic is a wealth of knowledge on not only Jack the Ripper, but true crime in general. If you have any questions about the macabre, don’t hesitate to ask him! Be cautioned though, this tour is not for young ones or for those that are squeamish. Mic not only provided vivid descriptions of the disturbing events, but also brough along graphic images taken from the crime scenes themselves. Make sure to wear a good pair of walking shoes and dress appropriately for the day’s weather conditions. And maybe wait to have supper until after the tour is over.

Excellent experience

Kerry_W, Mar 2023
Rob, our guide, made the experience. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Information about the meeting point was very clear and easy to reach by public transport. BE ON TIME! Excellent Experience.

Guide passionnant et passionné

genevive_m, Jul 2022
