This full day experience was absolutely wonderful. The company was efficient with pick up timing and very organized throughout the day. Our guide, Pablo, was incredible. He was very knowledgeable about the volcano and all the plants and animals we saw throughout the day. The volcano park and bridges were beautiful with unforgettable views. The lunch provided on the tour was delicious and at a very quaint restaurant. Ending the day at the waterfall was the perfect way to wrap up the tour. Being able to swim in such a breath taking waterfall was one of the highlights of the whole trip. We highly recommend doing this combo day tour with Green Vacations. Pablo was amazing!

This was the perfect program. I wish we could have had Chino, our guide, for the entire vacation. His ability to find animals is beyond impressive. He was the only guide on our entire trip that hooked a phone up to the spotting scope making it easy to see and for multiple people to see at once. We saw more insects, spiders, snakes, birds and monkeys with him than any other guide on our trip - it was exactly what we were hoping for.
The hike around the volcano, the bridges, and swimming in the waterfall the perfect day trip to see the La Fortuna area. We definitely would recommend (and ask for Chino!).

Wonderful action packed day! We really enjoyed it and our guide Will was great. The hike was very doable. The hanging bridges were super fun. We saw some animals as well. The waterfall was our favorite. Be sure to bring a change of clothes.

The guide was able to see animals that we would have missed. The locations are beautiful. The waterfall was a great end to cool off. There are 500 stairs down to the waterfall. You get your cardio in for the day.

Very well organized and no waiting in lines or purchasing entrance fee. Excellent lunch at typical Soda. Around four miles hiking. FUN

Will, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and spotted so much wildlife we would never had seen without his good eyes! Byron, our driver, was amazing and made sure to keep our belongings safe

Very good day. Waterfalls was a little too much steps but the waterfall itself was nice. The hanging bridges and the volcano tour was nice but didn't get to see much of any wildlife animals just birds.

Pablo was excellent-extremely knowledgeable and made the trip a lot of fun! We saw monkeys, toucans, snakes and a lot birds. Lunch was fantastic!

To start, big shout out to Pablo our tour guide. He was super knowledgeable and made our experience one to remember. Hiking the lava trails, experiencing La Fortuna waterfall, having a delicious lunch, and ending with the hanging bridges was such an amazing experience. This was my favorite excursion! Thank you again Pablo, PURA VIDA!

Tour was great, our guide Catalina was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about local flora and fauna. It’s a fun day!

The guides added a lot to the overall experience with their knowledge of the parks. Be prepared for the steps down and up from the waterfall. The Soda we stopped at for lunch was great!

This tour was a great way to see the best in Costa Rica in one day. Also the tour guide made some great adjustments to avoid the crowds. Awesome tour.

I highly recommend this excursion! Will was our guide; he was very interactive with the entire group and was very personable (which helps break up the tension in a group of people that have never met before). He structured our day to get the most out of each part of the tour. For example, sometimes the waterfall closes for swimming randomly due to rainy conditions, which it had earlier on in the day, so he chose to do this last in hopes that we could have the best experience. We lucked out with a good group of people but with the popularity of this tour, I’m sure you will too!

The whole trip is amazing.
You get to see great views and different animals as well.
Out driver Ronaldo was very nice and Our guide Katalina is one of the rare guides I've ever met in my life.
She has knowledge for everything and a very nice sense of humor.
10/10 recommended tour.

This was an amazing tour! Our guide Cat was so fun and knowledgeable about all of the animals, plants, and trees. She took her time and was very easy to follow along with. Our lunch was delicious and would highly recommend this tour for anyone!

This was a great tour and allowed us to fit in everything we wanted to do! Our guide was knowledgeable and patient. Lunch was great!

Had a great time! Our guide Will was very knowledgeable. He was careful to accommodate the three older members of our group. Highly recommend.

Definitely bring water proof clothing/attire. We started with a hike at base of Volcano and was very rainy. The Waterfalls were beautiful, and the lunch after was authentic. The Bridges after were great. Saw a couple of monkeys, sloths and other various wildlife. Erika was our guide and she was knowledgeable of everything we saw and quick to point out things to see.

Great day which included Mistico hanging bridges, arenal volcano hike and the La Fortuna waterfall. The sequence of activities depended on the weather and anticipated crowds, which we appreciated. Erica was an excellent guide! We saw three types of monkeys white face (volcano hike), howler and spider (hanging bridges tour), sloths and poison dart frogs, tucans and other cool creatures. Day wasn't too terribly long either, starting around 730am and back to hotel by 330pm.

Our guide Catalina was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable , joyful and funny ! She took her time and pointed out a lot of animals. She took really good pictures and videos then airdrops them to you. Our driver was great and safe as well. I highly recommend this tour. It was a great experience and worth every penny!

This tour was fantastic and I highly recommend doing the nature sights with a guide because you’ll see animals you’d otherwise miss. We traveled with 2 children (9, 12). Things I think would be helpful for future travelers — find a Arenal hike + Hanging bridges tour and do the waterfall by yourself. Due to time, we felt rushed at the waterfall and would have just loved more time to sit and relax. You don’t need a tour for the waterfall. Know that it is 500+ stairs down and then back up. The rocks are slippery. You can do this in flip flops, crocs, sneakers, water shoes, barefoot … there are clean bathrooms, a bar, souvenir shop, and light food at the top. The volcano tour — I highly recommend going with a guide. Otherwise it’s just a hike. Also, if you’re a hiker, this is a nature walk with some rocky inclines. If you don’t hike, this is a hike. My husband did it in crocs. My kids and I did it in water shoes with tread. You don’t need hiking shoes unless you’re unsteady on your feet. The bridges was a cool experience if you’ve never done something like it before. If you don’t go with a guide, it’s just a nature walk (with paved inclines) and you’ll miss lots of animals. Despite the recommendations, my husband did this in crocs, but had to sign a waiver. You can pack backpacks and bags and leave things in the air-conditioned tour van throughout the day. This made outfit changes easier and was nice to not have to carry everything all the time. For lunch- I highly recommend the traditional casada (with chicken, pork, or fish) or they also offered quesadillas and chicken fingers with fries. We truly enjoyed our full-day experience and this particular group was great to be with all day. 10/10, highly recommend.

Very knowledgeable tour guide with great rapport with everyone in the group. My girls absolutely loved our tour guide. We got to see so many local animals at every stop in the tour. The experience at the bottom of the La Fortuna water was worth the walk back up.
Sylvia_B, Apr 2026
This is a full day with three different experiences and you’re driven to each separately with a stop for lunch. The hike to Arenal and the Hanging Bridges were our favorite. Our guide, Erika, is a local and very knowledgeable and friendly. We felt like we were in good hands the whole time. We did the waterfall last and while it was beautiful, the hike up and down 500 steps was not fun, especially after that full day already. The water is very cold so it’s not that fun to swim in. But overall, I’d do it all again!

Great day despite the pouring rain! Good mixture of activities. Lovely lunch. Lots to see and learnt alot. Enjoyed the small group. Very well organised

We are an adult family of 5 and our first time in La Fortuna. Caterina was our tour guide and she is amazing if you can request her you should. You can really tell that she loves her job and made it her mission for us to see wildlife and get the most out of the day. She is very knowledgable about the area and nature. The lunch was delicious with a choice of chicken and rice or a traditional costa rican meal including pork or chicken, rice/bean, and plantains.
We went March 22nd which is the dry season but we still had a little mist so bring a rain jacket. The water at the waterfalls was freezing so we did not swim and the rocks are very slippery take so water shoes and a towel if you plan to swim. We saw parrots, sloths, spider monkeys, snakes, and humming birds. Caterina carried a telescope with her so if we saw an animal she would stop and get a close up, take a photo, and send them out to everyone. So we have awesome photos from the day.

Excellent guide (Chino) who knew so much and found wildlife where we could see none! Including toucans right outside our hotel when he was picking us up!

It’s physically demanding yet beautiful experience. Guide Erika made the difference being very knowledgeable and professional. Costa Rica has a very rainy weather and I’d have given 5 stars if they had disposable rain ponchos available. It’d make a significant difference for just a few dollars cost.

An absolute must-do for anyone visiting La Fortuna on a tight schedule. The pacing was flawless; the guide kept things moving beautifully so we stayed engaged from start to finish. Highly recommend this for maximizing your limited vacation time!

My wife and I loved this tour. Or guide was Erica and she was very experienced and full of fun information. She also helped us find all sorts of animals like macaws, toucans, lizards, sloths, and even a viper! Of course, she can't control the animals so she didn't guarantee finding any. Plus you get some good exercise and the lunch was delicious.
